cannot delete a quick bookmark

I have a few favorites that I have "Bookmarked fast", and after a few days I can not remove it. I click on it it does not load a page and when I right click delete just doesn't go no way.
It's only 2 bookmarks.
Do you have any help?

One possible cause is a problem with the places.sqlite file that stores the bookmarks and history.

Have not deleted anything in the registry, or any other critical files, have not changed the settings of firefox options, & have not added new addons ff. Same, some have updated. 5 days ago, I added more memory memory Crucial, but I don't think that this has nothing to do with it. I'm trying to think of any other information, I can give you to make it easier for someone to help, so if anyone does & you need more than information, I will be back periodically & provide anything that might help. It has left me speechless. After all the problems that I have read on the forums of firefox on the upgrade to ff4/5, I'll stick with ff3.6.18 for now. Fortunately, no problem with computer laptop win 7 x 64. THANKS for your time/help anyone.

    I can't delete individual "Unsorted Bookmarks." I have no problem to delete bookmarks from the Menu "Favorites".

    I have a lot of these bookmarks that I can't remove. They just clutter up the drop down bookmarks menu and make it almost unusable.

    No need to delete the entire category "Unsorted Bookmarks", although this would be an acceptable solution.

    COR - el: thanks for the quick response. It has not solved the problem, but something that you said does not lead to a solution.

    To reformulate the problem, there was a lot of bookmarks, which appeared in the drop-down menu that simply cannot be deleted.

    I was able to delete 'normal' bookmarks by bringing their respective pages on the left by clicking on the star in "Edit this bookmark" which appears near the right end of the URL field and then clicking "Delete bookmark" from the context menu that appears. In this case, the star would be yellow and in the popup, the folder would be called bird "Bookmarks Menu".

    Where I couldn't delete the bookmark, the star would be white and the record would be qualified bird "Unsorted Bookmarks."

    It made no difference if I started firefox in safe or normal mode.

    It had been years that I used the bookmarks bar and I had completely forgotten it existed. You mentioned it in your response, however, and I decided to try it. Bingo! In the sidebar, I could with the right Bookmark button and then click 'remove '. It worked even for bookmarks that I could not remove any other way.

    I don't know if it is a bug in version 16 of firefox, or if somehow my bookmarks file had accumulated incorrect metadata for many years to update version.

    In any case, for me, is a problem solved.

    Well, I tried this and I've had some success. I stopped getting the message "you need administrator permission", and instead he traded in the ' cannot delete files: access is denied "or something like that. In all cases, I did all my permissions and other things, it turns out that some malicious software must have gotten past my windows firewall and established a camp in my music folder.     2. what exactly happens when you try to delete the mails?

    3. do you get error messages or error codes?

    You can try to rename delete point .dbx and check:

    a. Click Start, point to find and then click files or folders.

    b. in the named, box type deleted item.dbx

    (c) in the area to look in, click on your main hard drive (usually drive C), and then click Find now.

    d. right-click on the deleted item.dbx file and then click Rename.

    e. type deleted item.dbxold, and then click ok.

    f. launch Outlook Express. This creates new files. Try to delete e-mails and check.

    Note: You can try to create a new folder and move all messages from the Inbox, and delete items before you rename files.

    I'm unable to access my trash, everythime I click on the folder, it says windows Explorer has a problem, then said restarting windows.

    And the window just closes, it is there anyway to delete the files from the trash bin other than to go to the folder it self.

    It restarts if you left or do a right-click on the icon or both?  Here are a few ways to empty it by using two methods:

    1. On the desktop, right-click on the Recycle Bin.
    2. Then click the Empty trash to empty its contents.
    3. You will be asked if you are sure that before it permanently deletes the files.
    4. If you're absolutely sure, then click Yes to clear the contents of the Recycle Bin.
    5. Alternatively, you can double-click the Recycle Bin to open and examine its contents.
    6. And then on the file menu, click empty the Recycle Bin.
    7. After confirmation, Windows Vista will be empty all files from the Recycle Bin.

    Go to control panel / customization / Desktop Icons and remove the trash, click OK and close.  Then go back and add the trash.  See if the new basket has the same problem.

    Have you ever tried to force reboot the phone by holding down the button sleep and home for 10 seconds, until the Apple logo comes back again?

    You won't lose data, but it can cure some problems after installing new software.

    If this does not work, try logging out of the AppStore on the phone in settings/iTunes and AppStore, restart the phone and you log in again.
