  Open your messages and search for a conversation with this person. Press 'I' icon in the upper right corner, then uncheck "do not disturb".

Current view | Show all messages and delete messages in the Outbox.  If this happens often, then your sent items folder may be damaged and you must move all the messages out of it to another folder (or copy) and delete the file sent items.dbx.  OE will create a new one, if you are using OE.

  If I read this correctly, you have a portable computer that do not have an operating system on it.  You try to install Vista and get the error.
  You've restarted the Vista installation?  So then you get the same error? If you have tried to install more than once and continue to receive this error, check that the laptop is capable of Vista?  You may need to check with the manufacturer of the laptop to see if it is able to support Vista. When I clicked on the "Change location" button, nothing happened, so I'm not able to choose a file location. I downloaded and Fix It (http://support.microsoft.com/mats/windows-media-player-diagnostic-Windows-8/en-us) from Microsoft allows WMP and the library, hoping this would solve the problem, but the problem persists. After that, I also found that none of the rip settings can be changed, not only the location of the file. I get an error message that "ripping settings could not be applied" when I try to change anything on the tab music Rip under Options. I found a support of forum responses that mention a registry fix but does not provide any details on how to achieve this. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

  Ripping allows you to put the titles of your audio CD on your PC. When you rip the tracks, they become digital files on your PC.

  There are two places in the Player library where you can customize your settings and better to make ripping work:

  • In the Rip settings menu (with less choice customization).

  • In the Options dialog box (with several choices of customization).

  Method 1: run the tool library, Windows Media Player and Windows Media Player settings and check if the extraction is possible.

  Step 1:

  a: press the logo Windows + O to open the search box.
  b: Type Troubleshooting, press ENTER.

  c: now, click on programs.

  d: and then click Windows Media Player  library.

  Step 2:

  a: press the logo Windows + O to open the search box.
  b: Type Troubleshooting, press ENTER.

  c: now, click on programs.

  d: and then click Windows Media settings.

  Microsoft Works is an Office suite obsolete and abandoned. However, Microsoft Works version 8.0 is compatible with Windows 7, it may not work on Windows 8, arise random errors. You can try to install this version in compatibility mode for Windows XP and then check if it works properly.

  • Right click on the Installer (.exe file) for Microsoft works file, and then click Properties.
  • Go to the compatibility tab.
  • Check the box for run this program in compatibility mode for:
  • In the list of operating systems, select Windows XP (or any other compatible OS) .
  • Click OK.
  • Double-click the executable file to install the program and follow the instructions on the screen.
  • Restart your computer.
