  I have printer HP Laserjet above 200. It's worked great for me and another person in my office. However, I've changed computers, and no matter what I do, the driver cannot find the printer. The other person in my office can always print very well, and my old computer can print always very well. I have disabled the firewall, turn off network security essentials (it is not yet installed antivirus software), provided the IP address, network address, the name of the device, let the software to set up my connection Wireless for HP Direct print. I restarted the printer, restarted my computer, restarted the router wireless, connected the printer directly to my computer via the supplied USB cable. It does not find the printer. I can ping to the IP address of the printer and get a quick response. I can print to other printers on network in the building, I just can't connect using HP. !

It's frustrating to spend 6 to 8 hours trying to configure a printer when the problem appears to be with the driver.

• Scanner (Officejet 7500) cannot find the computer when you use shortcuts scan to printer

  When you choose Scan to PDF, e-mail, etc., by using the scanning on the 7500 buttons it allows me to select the computer on the network (each with all of the latest drivers and software loaded). However when about to the scanner and then says the computer is not found (whatever the) despite them being on and ready. Scanning by any other method of the Mac works. Automator shortcuts work very well during the tests, but they do not seem to get initiated by the scanner for scanning form of initiation of the printer itself.

  The next thing to check is that "HP Device Monitor" is running.  This background process is responsible for detecting the keys for scanning applications.  If you open the activity monitor (located in/Applications/Utilities) you should see this class as one of the running processes.

  It may be generally preferable for you to perform an uninstall and reinstall the HP software.  You will find in Applications/Hewlett-Packard HP Uninstaller.  Use this utility to remove the old software.  I recommend that you download and install the latest version of the software for your 7500 here: http://tinyurl.com/4voly2d.

• WPSM54G cannot find print server and not able to print the test page

  After several days of trial and error I am so far I'm willing to give up and put this peace of equipment for sale. It is my last attempt to find a solution.

  I have a Canon MP510 printer connected to the print server and I managed to configure the print server so that it establishes a wireless connection to the router. I can see the ip address assigned to my router print server and I can log on to the configuration of the print server page.

  When I want to set up your computer (software print copy of the Canon MP510 print server) I can not complete the wizard. Step 1 is successful. It shows the print server and the MP510 related to port 1, but in step 2, I get a message that the print server can not be found.

  I looked on the forums how to solve. I already tried a fixed ip address to configure the printer manually but not any which solution worked.

  Your print server must be set to a fixed IP address, try this IP address: 192.168.1.78... Disconnect ethernet cable between your router and the PS... Both devices power for one minute cycle... Follow the link here after changing the IP address on the PS...

  Method 1:

  Set the printer you want to use as the default printer:

  1. click on start, type control printers in the start search box, and then click Control printers in the list programs.

  2 right-click the printer that you want to use and then click on set as default printer.

  Note: A check mark on the printer icon indicates that the printer is now the default printer.

  Method 2:

  Sometimes this is caused by incorrect registry entries. To resolve this problem, you must use the registry editor to delete the corrupted registry entries.

  4. to learn the name and parameters associated with your printer go to following registry key location:

  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\PrinterPorts

  5 locate your desired printer, copy the name of the device (ex: Fax) and order (ex: Ne01)

  6. navigate to the following registry key location:

  HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows

  7. right click on the device, and then click on edit.

  8 type the corresponding PrinterName, winspool, Ne0%, click OK.

  9. exit the registry editor

  10. restart your computer and check your default printer.

  We are now an all-Mac home with my iMac using a time Capsule for backup/router with an ethernetted of printer HP C4280 for Time Capsule and MacBook for my wife, too, using the Time Capsule and C4280.  Everything worked fine, but then we moved.

  New home everything came very well except that my wife MacBook can't find the printer.  If she sends a job to the printer it presents in the queue and it says "print page 1, 0% complete."  I open HP Print utility and select drivers and it shows the printer in the list.  When I select the printer it says "the selected printer is not available."  When I select System Preferences, then Print & Fax, he says "Looking for printer.".

  We just put a HP Envy 5530, set up was fine, I tried installing but get the message "cannot find printer" over and over again.

  I tried to download printing HP and Scan doctor but also, it does not find the printer.

  I ran two reports of diagnoses on the printer, everything looks ok, I have an IP address with an IP address that suggest that it has connected wirelessely, the network report said no problems were discovered.

  b press settings (wrench),

  (b) press tools then use the arrorw down to access page 2/3,

  (c) touch Restore Factory Defaults - wait a few minutes

  2 reinstall the printer

  (a) you can use the CD, but it will download the file and may take ages to download. Please download the software and the following drivers

  (b) turn on the printer,

  (c) right click on the downloaded file and select run as administrator.

  d select Wireless and then follow the instructions on the screen.
