Cannot get my Satellite A210 to work

Hello

Please can someone help? Have the Toshiba A210 series. He was more than a year and never able to make it work. I managed to download a series of pictures and managed to play a game that is already on the pc, but never got in to go online.

Finally I went to broadband as the thought ISP that might solve the problem. due to a lot of personal things not had time to get on the new laptop (with an old) I went today, and he greeted me and asked for a password. (I don't know if I've ever had as far as one)
Tried the 3 that I use regularly, and none are the right ones.

I then click on a link and it tells me to insert the disk (not an and do not think that I have reason to put it in the pc) or plug it in USB flash driver. I have no one and have no idea what all this means. Surely if I had a blank USB driver that wouldn't be good.
I tried to reset to factory settings, but jammed as all he wants is my password that I do not know or have forgotten. has rang a helpline, they could not help, like laptop, more than a year and could not afford to sound a £1. 50 p minute line.

Thank you very much in anticipation.
I hope I can find this page again.

Hello Marion

To be honest I didn't understand the problem with the password and floppy, but it is not so important.
In my opinion, you should install recovery image and start using your laptop with the own operating system preinstalled and factory condition.

If you still have original Toshiba recovery media, that you got with your laptop use for installing the OS.
Please follow these steps:
Turn on your portable computer, press F12 repeatedly
Of startup menu appears with a list of all bootable devices
Put the recovery DVD in the optical disc drive
In the list, choose the CD/DVD drive (use arrows up and down) and confirm with ENTER
Follow the menu on the screen

Please let us know if you will be able to begin the recovery installation, follow these steps.

    Hello

Satellite A210 - 1 4 belongs to the PSAFJE series.
You can find this number at the bottom of the unit

You must choose the PSAFJE A210 driver download form

I think that should be clear enough because instead of model, their number is no other numbers on the driver page

I have completed the installation of Windows 7, but impossible to get the Fn keys to work. I found and installed the 'flash cards' which seems to do a similar thing, but want the good Fn button as well.

Anyone know who the drivers for it?

  • Cannot get Windows 7 homegroups to work properly. Double-click a shared library on another machine in the residential group doesn't.

I just bought a new laptop with Windows 7 on it, so I decided to try the new homegroup in Windows 7 feature.  I activated the homegroup on my desk and apart from the music, photos and videos.  I then joined the residential group with the new portable computer using the password provided by the office shared libraries and the same 3 homegroup.  All appeard to put up correctly, but I can't browse libraries shared each machine to other machine.  I have the Homegroup and click on the other machine and I see 3 libraries, but when I click on any one of them does nothing.  This happens on both machines.   The only way I can get the residential groups to work is to first go to the other machine and provide credentials on the other machine.  After doing this, the homegroup files begin to work.  I was under the impression that the homegroup password was all I had to have access to all shared folders with the homegroup, but the only way I can get the homegroup to work is first authenticate itself to other machine using a user name and password.

The two machines are configured with the following:

    • Network discovery is enabled
    • File sharing and printer is enabled
    • Public folder sharing is on
    • Streaming Media is on
    • File sharing connections is configured to use 128-bit encryption
    • Password protected sharing is on
    • Homegroup connections is set up to allow Windows to manage.

I came across this forum because I had the same problem today. Real quickly, I have two laptops, one running windows 7 Home premium 32-bit and the other runs windows 7 Professional 32-bit. I have comcast for my internet provider and their cable modem attached to my belkin wireless router. I don't know if my fix will work for someone else, but it worked for me, so this is.

    1. unplug the router cable modem wireless
    2. connect the router to one of your computers using an ethernet cord
    3. open a web browser and type in the IP address of the router in the Web page bar (as when you type hotmail.com to go check your email). Mine is a belkin so 192.168.2.1 has worked for me.
    4. the control of the router page should open, and one of the options should be to reset factory settings, do this.
    5. DO NOT CONNECT THE ROUTER TO THE CABLE MODEM
6 configure the router in the same way that you did when you first installed the router, but just to be sure, I used another name for the network
    7. Once you have the password set up and named network you can disconnect the ethernet cable.
    8. connect to the new network without wire of each computer (just like when you connect to a wireless network) choose House (rather than work or public) for the network location.
    9. at this stage my homegroup didn't work, if it is not there for you, you may need to set up the homegroup in Control Panel.
    10. once the residential group is working the way you want to connect the router wireless to the modem cable and check to see if your internet connection is working by opening a web browser and go to any old site
    Hope this helps!

Select (only) the White path and the mixture and then in the transparency palette flyout on create with unchecked Clip opacity mask and mask invert checked.

  • Satellite U200 - cannot get the LAN port to work

    Hello

I hope someone can help. I reloaded a new version of windows on my laptop, I don't have the recovery disk but downloaded all the drivers from this site. However, I can not the LAN port to work. I tried several times to install the driver but no luck. In the Device Manager, it says device cannot start for the Intel 82559 fast Ethernet LAN on motherboard.

Can someone please offer some advice? I am a person of correct PC then understand the concepts and can get around the windows.
    Thank you

Satellite U200 what model do you have? The number of other Sat U200-xxx would be very useful to know which LAN chip was equipped with your laptop.

But generally, you can find all the drivers on the European driver Toshiba page.
Check the model number and serial (bottom) and choose the correct LAn driver Toshiba page.

Notes; Win XP should be updated to the last State. I mean that you need SP2 and the additional fixes to ensure that everything would be fine.

    Good luck

Any other external sound card does not work. I've been through the Device Manager, no conflicts outside! during the series under the devices hidden.

I am lost, my only option, buying a card PCMCIA sound card, it worked fine before as surely as it is a software solution for this?

If anyone can help I would be very grateful.

And what model of laptop you have exactly? As far as I know Toshiba has produced many different Satellites in the last ten years.

  • Cannot get the floppy drive to work.

Well, maybe noone here will want to address this issue, but I really need an answer that I use the files mentioned below in my profession. Any help would be appreciated. And if I posted this in the wrong place, sorry, this is the first time I used these forums and didn't really know where to post.

OK, I know this floppy are are outdated, but I have a bunch of files that I created years ago when the diskette was everything you had.

I had a disk in my computer that I was using and one day I tried to open some files in the floppy drive and it says that the disk has not been formatted and I wanted to format the IDE drive.

I got a new floppy disk and it says the same thing. I tried to format it and received a message that said Windows cannot format the drive.

So, I thought that maybe the old IDE floppy drive had gone belly up. I ordered a new floppy USB of TigerDirect drive and installed. It does the same thing.

Can someone help me get this floppy drive so that I can access work files.

I have a HP Compaq dc7600 form small computer running XP Pro SP 3. The floppy drive I ordered is an external USB floppy drive PowerUp G54-8016.

I have a Zip USB drive and it works.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I don't know why the IDE floppy drive was working and then quit, and now the new floppy drive will not work.

    Hi kemperhills,

    ·          Is it possible to check if the floppies are still good?

    ·          The diskette was made read-only?

According to this Microsoft article this could happen because the disks are bad:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/140060

Was there a kind of switch on it? If so have them try to change the switch and try again.

  • Cannot get Equium L40-10 X work after malware attack

    Hi, I'm new here.

Only the portable computer satellite 1 week and it is infected by malicious software. Norton Internet Security has been enabled and up-to-date, but alas the worms won. It displays the message "Windows Explorer has stopped working" during attempts to start. Curiously, although the recording of AntiVirGear v3.7 message works perfectly.
I have tried to format the C: partition, run all Safe Mode options, install Win Vista and install XP, CD recovery, BIOS settings, Windows repair and of course my old friend MSDOS.

I removed the hard drive to 120 GB (3 sheets) and tried to pop in the modular Bay with my trusty so I could do as I didn't like another drive, bootable to harvest my files on the E: partition, then put the thing in shape. But the pins are different, although the disks are the same size. So basically I'm stuck with a PC deadish no fault of Toshiba, MS or anyone...

Except the disbelievers AntiVirGear v3.7 programming which will gladly release my yoke of its channels referred that I give them my credit card information (if they have not already snatch that). If I do that it will be the beginning of "more than a purchase" and which will probably end my misery... So if anyone here can help, I have the hammer and the screwdriver ready.

I went to Norton Support and they told me to try things I've already tried. And then they left, "contact MS. MS does not support OEM versions, so here I am.

Please have a think on this subject.

    Thanks for listening.

    Hey Buddy,

man, this REALLY seems to... REALLY strange.

    Therefore, to better understand:

You have malware on your system (c :) drive), you want a system that works? Right? But you first want to sure some of your data?

OK, it would be preferable to seize your hard drive, go to the following electronic market and then buy a USB - HDD enclosure. But first check if the pins did (which was the idea of taking your car to the market to verify THIS).

Connect the USB - HDD to your system to another, copy your files, and then delete the ENTIRE disk. It would be best to try this CD to format and repartition your drive:
    www.UBCD4Win.com

Then after you completely remove all partitions, you can drive your recovery and recover a system that works.

    Welcome them

  • Cannot get my Satellite A305-s6857 to start

I have a laptop Toshiba Satellite A305-s6857. When I push the power button the power light turns on, then I hear a click may not know the fan and cdrom light is lit in orange, no display on the screen; nothing else happens. And then the power turns off.

I suspect there is something wrong with the BIOS, but I'm not sure. Please someone knows how can I do to fix this?

    Hello

To me, it looks like a serious hardware problem
I think that as a first step, the RAM should be checked
You should try to switch on the laptop using that one module in different locations

If this will not help, then another part may be affected. CPU, motherboard, etc.
In most cases it of not possible to say what role could be faulty

Generally, a hardware diagnostic test must be done to get the details on the problem
In m opinion that a technician should be contacted if your warranty is valid, then everything should be done free fro

    Greetings and good luck

  • Cannot get my Satellite C50-A-157 at startup

Hi people I have a Toshiba satellite A-C50-157, just three weeks. It wouldn't connect to the internet last night, kept saying that it was unable to display the page. Then the cursor froze and the touchpad would not answer. I have attached the mouse and finally, he responded to that. Still wouldn't let me online so decided, I would like to do a system restore. He passed for centuries, and nothing seemed to be going, I had to go out so had to turn it off. Tried to get back in there today, but everything is the screen flashes between black and gray.

Toshiba offices is closed, so I was wondering if someone can help out me? My knowledge is pretty basic, so any help would be appreciated!
