  • vCenter install fails when you try to install the vcenter Server to the node of the PSC in HA mode

    Hi all

We have two controllers on duty platform build in HA mode. We are trying to install the vCenter server and we get the error message below.

VCSCAValidateRemoteSSO: Unable to retrieve the remote SSO version: 12029

Check if the Server Single Sign-On remote vCenter is accessible and is version 6.0.0 or later. »

Has anyone in the community runs vcenter server 6 HA with PSC inspectors sitting behind the f5 load balancer? Please share your thoughts if you have seen a similar problem.

    Thank you.

    Hi all

We are able to go beyond the question of the installation. We did the capture of packets on both ends and discover that the reset was issued the installer by the licensing vCenter service running on the PSC.

We have also created firewall rules more 18 altogether since the server vcenter for our f5 load balancing program, then 6 VIP of the F5 on the two controllers on duty Platform.

I hope this helps other people who sought to install PSC in HA mode.

  • Cannot install VMware vCenter Server on a virtual machine

    Hello world

I'm new to the forum. I try to install the vcenter server in a virtual machine.

Configuration of the VM: 10G VMDK, used 7G... 2G memory... guest operating system is win XP Pro.

When I run the Setup it says:

This installation package could not be opened!

I have attached a JPG of the error. Can someone please!

    Kind regards.

64 bit is not supported as a host to vCenter operating system, see the compatibility guide posted above.  I would try to mount the ISO using the client machine instead of starting from the ESX host, it could be that your DVD image is not good.

  • Cannot install the Vcenter for Esxi 5.5. Windows 7

    Hi Experts,

When I run the simple setup, it stops when tried to install the SSO, the message "cannot install the single sign on, this package is not compatible with your processor,..." I'm running a Lenovo T430, the processor in an INTELCore I5 vPro.

I installed the client vsphere without problems. And I know that in the other lenovo T430 people install the VCenter correctly. I am running Windows 7 Professional.

    Any idea or solution?

    Thank you very much friends!

Center Server is supported only on 64-bit Windows server in operating systems (see VMware Compatibility Guide: search guest conductor /)

  • Cannot install the vCenter agent service. Cannot download agent.

I have a little trouble with three of my ESX servers. I'm in vCenter Server 4.0.0 162856. I have three clusters that I am currently using. One is my cluster of blade test environment on our old equipment on our internal network (running ESX 3.5). One is our new cluster of blade on our internal network. The final (and) I have a problem) are the pole of blade on our external network. The new run ESX 4.0.

When I tried to add new hosts to our new cluster of blade on the internal network, everything went relatively well. I am trying to simply add hosts to the cluster on the external network, but every time, I get the "cannot install the agent vCenter. service '. Error failed to download agent. I read on the web that this can happen sporadically and try to remove/put on your ESX servers. I tried with all three, and no download. I first thought that the hard drives of my hosts were too small because I am booting from SAN and dug 25 GB drives strictly to the operating system. So, I tried 50 GB hard drives, and that did not help.

My guess is that it may be some sort of firewall issue and asked our network guys to unblock the ports 902, 905 and 8443. Still, this does not seem to help. I checked the file/etc/hosts and three servers, the vCenter server, and the server for the backup is defined in there. I also tried removing and time of the cluster. The only thing that does not work I don't know a ping servers that are defined in the hosts file works (but not other local servers) is vmkping, which gives a * not configured vmkernel stack * error.

Someone at - it ideas? Do you think it's firewall or vmkernel associated? My understanding is that the vmkernel would begin after it is attached to a host, but I could be wrong on this matter.

    Thanks to all who help!

    There are also port 443

  • Cannot install the vCenter 4.1 on Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition 64-bit

I have a brand new installation of Windows Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition 64 bit, but when I try to install vCenter Server 4.1, I get a window with the message following (screenshot attached):

This product can only be installed on operating systems for 64-bit at the following address:

    Windows XP SP2 or higher

    Windows 2003

    Windows 2008

I checked the compatibility matrix before I started and he says vCenter 4.1 is compatible with Windows Server 2008 R2. I checked the community boards and the knowledge base but have not met anyone else having this problem. Am I missing something, perhaps a Windows role or service before installing vCenter necessary?

Is it a controller AD? You can not install vCenter Server on an AD DC.

    I get:

vCenter Server is not supported on this platform. Refer to the installation guide for the supported platforms list. Make sure that Windows is running not as a domain controller.

I can confirm that is not running on a domain controller.

If you are running Windows 2003, it should be possible that your machine does not meet the req min for vCenter5 and could be less than 3 GB of vRAM and 2 vCPU as what Andre said.

  • Cannot install the TP-Link tp-wn722n on windows 7, which has worked on XP

I can't go on the internet on my Dell Inspiron 530, and I use a TP-Link, TP-WN722N wireless network card.  He had originally Vista, then I installed XP, now I have installed windows 7, and it won't work. I have all the latest drivers (for the adapter). I called customer service, they could not help. When I connect, and then type my password (I did go to the website of my router and check a second time I got the right password), it says "Windows cannot connect to {SSiD]. I tried tons of solutions, including the verification of the registry, reinstall the drivers, remove or add profiles network, encryption security change, all that stuff. On my other computer, I also installed windows 7, it worked fine. I have no antivirus, or anything at all really, because I literally installed operating system (32-bit, incidentally) there are ten minutes and it's a clean install. Data sheet:

    Dell Inspiron 530

    Intel Core Duo @2.33 GHz

    3.0 GB RAM

    Intel G33/G31 express chipset

    TP-WN722N TP-Link network adapter

    Buffalo WHR-HP-G300N router

That's all I know off the top of my head. Any ideas?

From your description, it seems that the wireless card has been properly installed.  To be sure, open the control panel and check the Device Manager for any indicator of error, generally regarded as a triangle with an exclamation point on it.  If the card was not a pilot, I think you would see another type of error.  Because the computer complains that it does not encumber the given SSID, map obviously sees the Wi - Fi point.

I know that you are certain you have the correct passkey, but your description looks a lot like an error in the key entry.  This key is case-sensitive; exactly as the key has been entered in the wireless access point or you are unable to connect, you must have upper and lower case and spaces.  Check for things such as the uppercase function selected or converted to characters.

For help I suggest that you post on the forum Networking, wireless Internet .
