Cannot open e-mail links

I use Firefox 29 on Win7x64. This is my default browser. Sometimes, when I try to open a web link from Outlook email or Yahoo email, the link does not. On the contrary, Firefox opens a process every time that I click, but does not open the link or even a page. If I try to open another instance of Firefox by clicking on the shortcut, but another process starts, but a page does not open. Safe mode does not help. The only resolution to this day is to close each process or restart, then re - install Firefox. This problem started v29 or just before. I also tried the suggestions posted on the forum. Thank you!

Note that Firefox 30 will be published officially on Tuesday, so it is best to install this version to avoid updating to Firefox 31 because installing a beta version, you're on the Beta update channel.

  • Have a virus/malware and cannot open windows mail and how export/copy the measages

I should have gotten a virus/malware/trojan, which affects the connection and does not allow me to open the control panel, or windows mail.

I need to know how to copy/backup/export the e-mail messages that are still there. Of course, I can't use the export function since I can't open windows mail.

    Hello

    • You receive an error message when opening Control Panel or Windows mail?
    • What were the changes made before the issue occur?

    You can view these methods:

    Method 1:

I suggest you make a system full scan just to be sure and check.
    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx

    Note:
The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.
    Method 2:
    NOTE:
Change the settings of the REGISTRY can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the REGISTRY settings configuration can be solved. Changes to these settings are at your own risk.
You might try the following and see if it helps to get Windows Mail open.
You can delete all entries in the registry for Windows Mail. The junk e-mail filter information have been corrupted.

    a. Click Start, in the search box, type regedit. Then choose continue to leave and then read the help file.

    b. then highlight this registry key:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows Mail
right-click and choose export to back it up. You can save it to your desktop. It will save the key as a measure of protection.

    c. make sure that Windows Mail is closed and right click on the key again, and then choose Remove.
    d. then try to start Windows Mail and see if it is now open.
  • Cannot open Windows Mail

When you send a windows mail message I am including a document from microsoft works. The message of the receiving person says... Works cannot open... File may be in use with another application or file format is not supported by any of the installed converters, or file is possibly corrupted.

Check out the following thread: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/addworks/thread/1da004d1-92ad-487f-b140-f6e48fbb3053/.  I want to emphasize a response I read: that article pretty much covers this topic, and I don't know what else to add to what has already been said, here and here.

The feature to directly open the Microsoft Works document is not available via webmail.
You will need to save the document attached to the computer, and then open the works document.

    Hope this information is useful.

  • Cannot open Windows Mail except via the broadband provider - and the Inbox has disappeared

I opened the mail Windows, given that my Inbox, but took the option to open junk e-mail. Each action after which resulted in the sound of 'ping '. The cross at the top right was not red annd I couldn't close it - I had to use the Task Manager to close. Since then, I can't open Windows Mail via the shortcut or the Start button. I opened through my provider of broadband (Greenbee) - but my Inbox was empty and sent no later than June 24 items were gone too. I contacted Greenbee. They sent a test email - it happened. They concluded that my softwear was defective ("missing wappy" was the term used). What can I do now?

Try to compact and repair the Windows Mail database (see www.oehelp.com/WMUtil/).  Then see if it opens.  See also here to exclude interference antivirus: www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 and see FYI point 15.

  • Cannot open e-mail messages using Windows mail

    Mail OT:Windows
Hi, since start up my computer after a period of 10 days, non-use, my e-mail system has begun to download emails and send them a file into a new file corrected directed sub e-mail, this opening contains nothing and can be deleted but not the header of the recovered e-mail, also the emails in my subfolders have different headings but during their opening they show only the same email even if they are all different It means that I have no access to what is in the emails in subfolders. Does anyone have any ideas as it starts to get boring.

  • When to open e-mail links, get no application found

Hello all, recently installed windows 7 since vista. on the attempt to open pc links e-mail said me NO APPLICATION FOUND. be gratefull for assistance good thank you morris 116

  • Cannot open e-mail messages. MSG, it's that there is no program associated with this file and define and association. Have no clue as to how or what program choose. Thank you jp__

    problem is email

I assume you are talking about email attachments.  Each attachment has a three-character extension that associates the file with a program (in the start menu / default of programs / associate a file or Protocol with a program and then scroll through the list for the three-character extension).  Many are well known (.doc for Word Documents) and .pdf for Adobe Reader documents, but some are not so well known.  Some are also used by several different programs is sometimes important to know what program created the file in order to know what program to associate with her.  Your best bet since it is emails is to ask the sender to you say the name and version of the program so that you can install a program that can at least find out if is not working with the file if you do not recognize the extension.  Some attachments to e-mail are not intended to be read and there are programmatic reasons and must not be opened (but I can't give you a list of all of them - barely know they exist).

Sometimes you can google the extension (for example, google .avi http://www.afterdawn.com/glossary/terms/avi.cfm) and a link arises which will tell you what programs can do the file type and which programs can read or work with the file type (or you may need to go to other links to get this reversal - in this case a lot of programs can open the file because it is a very common file for which many different programs have been developed - program that it becomes irrelelevant).  If it's a single program, so you know what you need.  If more than one program, you must the sender to tell what program you used to create the file unless the .avi file that can be read by the host (or you can guess or try different options until you find one that works but this can take a long time, can damage the open file with wrong program and can be expensive if you buy one of the programs that you are testing).

In fact you do not define an association.  When you install the program, the extensions it can handle are identified by the Setup program and included in the listing file associations.  In fact, there is no way to add an extension to the registration of the association - you can change the programs that are used by the extensions in the list by default.  Some extensions are added automatically by Vista when installed and work a little differently than others (for example, .lnk or .exe), but we don't need to go into that, unless the extension you are having problems with is one of those (you don't mention the extension so I can't give you advice).

    I hope this helps.

  • Cannot open the exernal links in Firefox after installing KB3124200

After updating Windows Pro 64 - bit version 1511 10 (OS Build 10586.36), I can't open HTML links in Firefox when I click on them from a program external (Evernote, text Sublime, 7 Sticky Notes, etc.). I went through all the steps to configure Firefox as default, but nothing helped. I lost this ability after the installation of KB3124200.

The problem has been resolved by reinstalling Firefox in place.
