cannot open windows defender in windows 7

I'm trying to temporarily disable Windows Defender, but it won't let me open.  He said that the operation has been cancelled due to restrictions on this computer and to contact the administrator of aid, and I'm the administrator of this computer.

Do you have another Antivirus software installed on your PC (McAfee, Norton, Windows Security Essentials)? If so, most will automatically disable Windows Defender. Maybe that's your problem.

Note: Windows Security Essentials is a free antivirus for Microsoft that is installed through Windows Update. Chances are, it is on your machine.

When you send a windows mail message I am including a document from microsoft works. The message of the receiving person says... Works cannot open... File may be in use with another application or file format is not supported by any of the installed converters, or file is possibly corrupted.

Check out the following thread: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/addworks/thread/1da004d1-92ad-487f-b140-f6e48fbb3053/.  I want to emphasize a response I read: that article pretty much covers this topic, and I don't know what else to add to what has already been said, here and here.

The feature to directly open the Microsoft Works document is not available via webmail.
You will need to save the document attached to the computer, and then open the works document.

  • HP Z400: Rest default config, now cannot open windows!

    Hello

I did a reset of my system BIOS by resseting the 'default' Config in the file section of my computer.

When I restarted my PC is really slow to open Windows 7, when prompted I did the Ctrl + Alt + Delete, really takes a lot of time to get password to connect to...

After logging into the PC behaves as if its going to open Windows 7, but does not. Instead, I have the blue wheel type icon that lights up for a long time before the screen turns black. Althouth it is black I can still see the pointer, and it moves on the screen, but can't do anything else.

I then did a restore to an earlier date... same problem.

I can't get into windows in safe mode.

    What can I do now?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Hello

First enter boot hit "safe mode with command prompt.

Once inside the command-line type sfc/scannow and press enter

It will take some time to analyze...  Once the completed scan glance to see if Windows detects any violation in Windows and has corrected all the errors found.  Try and normal restart and see if Windows can start successfully.  If Windows does not start correctly restart in "Safe Mode with command prompt" again...  Next type chkdsk /r and press to enter. You will then need to restart for a disk check run > This will take a while, but can fix all the errors on the disc that may prevent Windows from starting correctly.  Windows once complete will automatically restart and try a startup.
