  Before the problem started, I initially had Adobe Captivate 5 (No 7) and worked fine until I installed Microsoft Office 2013. As I tried to start Captivate 5, it gets stuck on the loading page, the Welcome screen never appears. After I checked this blog on the forum, which is to blame 3^rd party fonts that can cause this problem to occur, I have never installed the fonts part 3^rd - I knew not if Office 2013 come with additional fonts that are not compatible with Captivate 5. So, I removed 5 Captivate and installed version Captivate 7 track (32-bit) thinking that Captivate 7 will agree with all of the additional fonts provided with Microsoft Office 2013.   According to another blog on the forum, I also tried delete/rename the folder located in C:\Users\MYUSERID\AppData\Local\Adobe Captivate, but that did not help either. Now, I completely removed Captivate® 5, record of the directly, as I have installed 7 Captivate - still stuck with the same problem.

  I am running Window 7 Professional (32 bit), have the latest version of Java SE 7 update 25 updated AIR downloaded and of course each time removed any software, I restart the computer to update the registration keys before installing a newer version of a software.

  Please try the following steps

  1. copy and paste all of the c: Windows fonts / Fonts to another folder on the desktop

  2. try to remove as much as possible c: Windows fonts / Fonts (system fonts will not be deleted).

  3. then try to launch Captivate 7, if it starts successfully while there could be a police related issue again.

  4. close the Captivate 7 and then try to stick a lot of fonts from the folder on the desktop back to the c: Windows / Fonts and there still check if Captivate works very well.

  Make sure that your router is set to a fixed channel wireless as the 1, 6 or 11, never 'auto '.  Try each of the channels one at a time.  Make sure they are spaced at least 5 feet.

  However, if you have a gateway device (modem + router), all gateway devices are terrible for connectivity and wireless performance.   If this does not work, suggest you put this bridge in full bridge mode device and install your own router of high quality that YOU have full control over.

  I would like to try the steps in this guide, "offline" Status Message printer (Windows 10).

  If the problem persists, you may encounter an IP address conflict. It's a good idea to assign the printer a static IP address outside your DHCP range. For example, some routers default DHCP is located between 192.168.0.100 to 192.168.0.200. So, I would use 192.168.0.232.

  • Print a Page of Network Configuration menu of the printer front panel. Note: the IPV4 IP.
  • Type the IP address in the browser to bring up the SAP.
  • Choose the network tab, then wireless on the left side, and then select the IPv4 tab.
  • Select Manual IP.
  • Enter your IP address manual (192.168.0.232)
  • Enter 255.255.255.0 for the subnet mask, except if it is different.
  • Enter the IP address of your router that sits on the Network Configuration Page) for the default gateway.
  • Please, click on manual DNS server. For the preferred DNS Server Manual please enter 8.8.8.8 and the Alternate DNS Server Manual, please enter 8.8.4.4.
  • Click on apply.

  Please restart the router, the printer and the computer in this sequence.

  If you're still having problems, please download and run the print and Scan doctor, it will be probably diagnose and fix the problem you are experiencing.

  Check if you have set your printer as default printer.

  Right click on the start icon

  Click on Panel and then devices and printers

  Select the printer 6500 OJ and click set as default.

  Close and reopen Word and control...

  I too had d same problem but I solved it later on myself.
  Here's how to: -.
  1-make sure you have intel network driver I installed your windows it pc. Download (on any other pc and transfer and install in it) and install it in your pc respective windows 8.   My C4280 works very well using the OS X Snow Leopard operating system. After that I installed Lion, the scan utility scans, but does not respond when I command to print, save or send. The screen showing the scanned document/photo remains open on the screen cocmputer. I am unable to get out of this window or the screen. I cannot get the HP application scan the computer force quit. Anyone know what I should do (1) get out of this 'frozen' HP scanning application and (2) cause the C428-works all the time?

  The HP scanning application is not compatible with Lion.

  Make sure to install any update HP available by clicking the Apple icon, then software update, then you can scan using any method of scan provided by Apple as shown below:

  If you still have problems, completely remove any HP software installed:

  * Please note that the following steps will delete all HP software installed.

  1. click on menu go (click the desktop, then watch the menu in the bar at the top of the page)
  2. Select Applications
  3 select the Hewlett-Packard folder
  4. double-click on uninstall HP application
  5 follow the uninstall to prompt to select a device to uninstall
  6. press and hold Ctrl + Alt + Cmd keys on the keyboard at the same time as you click on uninstall
  7 approve any prompt to uninstall all HP software.

• Unable to set printing from firefox preferences after installed update

  Firefox on my Dell PC under Windows 7 (64-bit), just install the latest update (version 3.6.13). Immediately after that product, I can't set printing preferences when you print from Firefox. It will print, but you can not set preferences like the print quality or gray scale. It worked fine just before the update and I am also able to access and control preferences when printing from other programs such as Word and Windows Explorer.

  FYI, my printer is a Canon MX310 with the latest software and drivers installed. As I said, everything worked perfectly prior to update installation. It definitely seems to be associated with this new update. Everyone knows this? Any suggestions? I guess it's a bug in the new update and hoping that Firefox will fix it. I love Firefox and hate having to print through Windows Explorer for this reason.

  Try the following and let us know the results.
  Clean boot your PC and then test.

  If you can not access the internet, then check your updates installed and see if KB980182 has been installed.  If so, uninstall and then test.

  So that the results answer with what anti-virus\firewall programs you're running.

  c. Select devices.

  d. Select the printerand select the icon to remove the printer.

  f. Select Add a device to reinstall the printer.

  Method 2:
  If the problem persists, I suggest you to download and install the latest printer driver on the manufacturer's Web site. Check if it helps.
