I tried to install a printer HP Deskjet 3050 a on my computer recently.

After inserting the CD her usually install page appears. When I choose to install the printer through the USB port, the program continues normally until it beginning to insert the USB cable.

Having said the computer software does not meet attaching me the USB cable, just on the same window.

When you try to install the computer over the network, it starts to check the network environment and will then pass the same window as before, indicating that I need to insert the USB cable.

My USB ports work correctly, but the computer address to find the printer.

I have a Dell Inspron 530 with Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit.

    Hi Silvuss,

I would suspect im a defective USB causes such behavior, such as cable used to direct connect also although it is used to establish the wireless connection.

Please make sure that the USB port was not plugged launcing before installation, enter the control panel > printers and ensure there is no Deskjet 3050 a icon exists. If there is such a, delete it by clicking on the icon, and restart the PC, then try following the installation again.

In addition, make sure that the USB port is not longer than 2 - 3 m long, directly plugged on the ports of the PC and not through USB hub or extension that will reduce its power.

I also suggest that you try another cable and see if that can help you.

A last suggestion, make sure that the CD and Printers lists the exact model as it must contain eighter HP Deskjet 3050 has or J611, make sure that there is no difference that its previous model have a similar name (Deskjet 3050 J610).

    Hope that helps,

  • Scanner will not connect to my printer HP deskjet 3050

I recently bought a printer HP Deskjet 3050 all-in-One series, scanner copier J611 a.  My operating system is Vista 64.  I received the error message is "Scanner not connected to the computer."  Everything worked, and then all of a sudden the scanner no longer works (print and copy of the works).  I tried to use the printing HP and Dr. Scan to try to solve the problems, but it did not help.  I also tried other solutions I found on the HP site.  Finally, I just uninstalled and reinstalled.  It did not help.  I can still print and copy but will not scan.  I need the scanner, more than anything I have an another printer/copier HP that I can use.

I tried to analyze using the Wi - Fi connection but couldn't. I have not tried to use MS Paint. I saw in another thread, the proposition that, using a key USB cable might work and I tried it and it worked. It's a little embarrassing, but the key is that I can scan now. Thank you very much.

  • Printer HP Deskjet 3050 a: decrease the size of the font in Deskjet 5030

I'm changing the font size to a smaller size on a printer HP Deskjet 3050 has J611g.  My printer was printing to the appropriate size.  Suddenly, on a project he printed normall until it came to the last page, the date on which the font size became so great that only 1 or 2 letters would take on the page.  The next time I tried, each page was so great that only a few letters were on the page.  I don't know if I accidentally hit something or changed a setting that I should not have done, but I have no idea how to make to make it smaller.

I tried Googling with the search term: how to change the size of the font on the printer HP Deskjet 305 a.  Almost all terms had to do with the increase in the size of the font.  I have quoted me a procedure on the eHow site, but it does not seem to apply to this particular model.

I also tried to search the HP website problems.  Again, it would either mean that no search term

has been found or each question had to do with the increase in font size.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.  I have an important document to print, and I already spent two hours trying to solve this problem.  With my luck, it will prove to be something simple!

Sorry only you know which software you use to print. When you select PRINT, this is the printer control software. You need to know how to find the font size and decrease and make sure that you are not in any type of "zoom" mode.

  • ePrint does not print the deskjet 3050 a spare

I have deskjet 3050 a and unable to print attachments. text is ok but no pdf, excel, photos etc after research I know that the pdf files is not oversized.help please

Hi there, if you try to print from a laptop to the printer you need not send attachments e-mail to the e-mail address of printers, you can simply print via regular HP printer software driver. DJ 3050 has installed on the laptop? If not, here is a link to where you can download Windows 8 driver for your system, simply select the correct option (32 or 64 bit) for your operating system http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&product=5061092&

If you want to be able to print from the laptop to the printer when the devices are not on the same network or if you do not want to install the product software, you have the option to install the software driver ePrint. This will allow you to print files from applications on your laptop (Adobe, MS Office, etc.) to your printer ePrint enabled even when they are on different networks. See this link for more information and a download link

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I hope you enjoy your stay here.

I understand that you have some problems with the printer all-in-one Deskjet 3050 connection to your new router. I can help you with that.

First of all, we will restore the default values of network on the printer. To do:

Remove the USB cable to the back of the printer.

On the printer, press the wireless icon that looks like a radio tower.

Click on the white button next to settings.
Click on the white button next to default settings.

If there is a screen asking you to confirm, then press the white button next Yes. Blue wireless light should turn off.

Now on your PC we will uninstall all software associated with the printer.

Download and install the latest drivers by clicking on this link.

Once installation is complete, you should have the printer connected to your wireless network.

  • iMac will not print to Deskjet 3050 a

    Hello

I'm running an iMac in early 2008 with the operating system upgraded to OS X 10.7.2.  including all updates.  Just bought a Deskjet 3050 a and downloaded the software HP istall to the address on the HP site.

Spent by the installation procedure except when it came to the question "install that Print" it didn't come with the identifier of the printer only.  so I couldn't continue.  Printing of diagnostic said no problems found congratulations on successful installation, etc.  However, even if the printer is connected it will not print.  What can I do?

AHA!  I also noticed you are using a D-Link Extender, which indicates that you don't have a router.  According to your description of your Internet configuration, the device emitting IP (DHCP server) addresses is likely on a device outside your home.

If this is the case, this device is likey to not allow devices to "talk" to each other on his network.

If replace you your range extender with a router and all devices connected to the system should work perfectly.  Thoughts?

  • HP 7520 - cannot print custom size of the photo tray photo

I am trying to print a photo of small 2.5 cm wide on a 4 x 6 "piece of photo paper. If I choose the "custom" paper size then I can select 4 x 6 on the right and put 4 copies of the photo on the sheet.  But when I click on print it always goes for the main paper tray and then gives me an error (I emptied the main tray because I don't want it to be used). I don't want to use a large sheet of paper.

How can I force to take the paper from the photo bin? I tried every setting I can think. The selection of paper size automatically assumes that it is the size of the photo I want! If I choose 4 x 6 as my paper size it only allows me to print one full page. I need a tiny picture, preferably several times on one page. Without doubt, I should be able to say print the picture of this exact size and paper tray! Can anyone help please?

I use the HP Photosmart 7520 and Windows 7. Thank you.

    SeoulGal,

Thanks for the quick response. You have me a little confused, so I just want to clarify - initially you were trying to print on 4 X 6 paper, you then changed to 10 x 15, because the paper was not shooting from the photo tray? I assume you mean 10x15cm which is always the same size from 4 x 6 paper.

Anyway I understand that he won't shoot the photo tray paper, you place the tray in the photo tray when selecting to print? Have a look here at how change printer settings so it pulls the correct status bar: Print the Photos saved on your computer (Windows)

Please don't forget to take a look at the paper handling section in the printer Specifications as 2.5 photo size you are interested in is not, see here: 7520 Photosmart e-all-in-one printer printer Specifications

I could open my Windows Live Photo Gallery and play with the settings of the picture, when I select option 4 x 6 as you, I only get the option for "picture full page. Now when I select the letter or 8x10inches I am then given more options 2-4x6s, 1-8 x 10, 9-wallets and Board contact etc.. So that leads me to believe this is a limitation of the software.

Have you tried using another photo program to see if this allows you to get you exactly what you want? I open HP Photo Creations on my computer and did the following:

    1. click on the option of high prints

    2. navigate to multiple display prints and select display multiple impressions of grid.

    3. click on customize and print

    4. along the top, you are given the option to choose size, please make sure that the value is 4 x 6. See below

    5. now under the advance printing options, go ahead and select the following settings:

    6. you are also able to change the number of pictures you want per sheet, I've now fixed it 2. If you want to only 1 copy of the photo under Copies change this to 1

    7. now you can go ahead and select print (remember under the parameter to select the right printer tray)

You are now able to print the smaller picture on paper photo 4 x 6 size the correct status bar? I look forward to hearing from you, fingers crossed

I have a printer all-in-HP2540 with free Wi - Fi and use Windows 8.1

My drivers are up to date. My jpeg images print on paper with no problems. A Word document with text prints on paper with no problems. This table will be printed on normal paper with no problems. I can save the chart in pdf format and print it, but I lose the quality of the image.
