• Satellite A135 - new installation of HARD drive "windows cannot be configured.

  I have a portable Satellite A135-S4467 with a hard drive failed (WD 160 GB).
  I bought a new hard drive (WD 320 GB).
  When I try to install windows vista (32 bit) on the new hard drive by using the original factory software installation CD toshiba, I get the following error message:
  "windows cannot be configured to run on this computer hardware.

  After reboot, Windows will start normally or in safe mode.
  I updated the BIOS to version 1.9.
  I tried also to install the updated RAID/AHCI drivers of intel to the windows installation, as recommended by the windows forums - I always get the same error message, even after several attempts to completely reinstall windows.

  Several forums, I searched for recommended to change the settings of the HDD (RAID COSM) in the BIOS.
  I don't know how / if to do this. When I enter the BIOS, I see the hard drive, but I can't select it, so I couldn't try it.

  It seems that I've tried everything, without success. I took care to unplug all external/etc devices during the installation as well. I also did all the drivers are for vista 32 bit.

  Have you tried to install the OS using the Microsoft installation disc?
  There may be a compatibility problem with your new HARD drive.

  Do you get a place another HARD disk capacity not more than 200GB and test it?

• Photosmart HP 5520. First installation cannot start configuration eprint. Could not be updated

  I installed the wireless printer successfully, but unfortunately I can't start installation e-print. After that I agreed to the installation it says impossible to update. The local network uses dhcp THAT SSID is hidden and I use wpa2. Once again the printer works fine but cannot start the configuration of the e-print service.

  I solved by myself the year problem now I can say that

  1. My provider does not have the power of Attorney and do not filter on the connection ports
  2. It was not necessary to update the firmware of the router, as in fact, I always use the version of the firmware of shop
  3. It is not necessary to install the demilitarized zone on the ip address of the printer
  4. It is not necessary to install the virtual server and enable port forwarding incoming and outgoing
  5. It is not necessari choose and configure the ip address of the router
  6. It is not necessary to DΘsactiver mac filtering, choose a special channel, disable security on the AP
  7. It is not necessary to ask the printer to set the static ip address (but you can change it)

  I installed the firmware released on 7 February and the next day, I ran the diagnostic tool installed with the printer who asked me to install a patch for the eprint service.

  After everything has worked, I installed the eprint service and got the e-mail address.

  This means that there is a bug in the firmware for the eprint service.

  I use Flex 4 plugin for eclipse. I tried to create my first application by following the steps in the guide started it.   «In the folder Tablet OS SDK installed, there is a subfolder 'Eclipse', inside, there is a file called "blackberry-tablet - sdk.link".» Copy this file into your Eclipse 3.6.1 "dropins" folder, restart your Eclipse IDE, you should see the PlayBook Tablet OS SDK in your launch configuration. "

  I have never seen anything like it. Can you please give us more information?
  Which laptop model you have?
  What operating system is pre-installed it?
  Can you identify which application are part of this error message?
  Check the list of startup and try disabling unnecessary applications using. Sorry, but reading the description of your problem there is no useful information, and it is not easy to say anything.

• Want 4500 Scan to computer cannot be configured to start automatically

  In the Envy Series 4500 HP printer Assistant under 'Manage the computer analysis' that one is supposed to be able to click on a checkbox so that the feature is enabled on startup (Windows connect).

  However, on my system, this box does not (cannot be verified) and I have to go and click on the button "Activate" on each session when I want to analyze manually. (Windows 7 Home Premium, 64 bit SP1, HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC)

  .. Finally managed to do work, and the solution was simple. I only had to start the wizard by using 'Run as administrator' (right-click with the mouse on the icon), and then the desired option is clickable.

  Support HP BTW began to ask what version of Windows (by e-mail), I was using - just embarrassing. Well, at least they don't recommend uninstalling all other drivers, wait 30 seconds and reformat the drive.

  Hi, I recently changed my ISP. I tried to use the router with the same settings as my previous ISP, but it didn't connect. I have reset the router, ran the installation cd, and before setting the admin password, it detected initially as dhcp internet connection. I put the password, could load google. then it came to a point where there was sure easy installation in which I had to press the button in the router (that I didn't because it was not any signal in the statement to do).

  I refreshed the page and google no longer charge. I opened a new tab, but in vain.

  I have reset the router, followed by the installation and at this point eversince, it detects the connection as an ip address static (step 8). I changed it to dhcp, but the error message saying that the router cannot connect to the internet. I have reset the router all over again, but the same problem occurs.

  My question for everyone is, is there a way so that the router can detect the internet connection as dhcp? Sorry for the long post, but I must detail the problem and air my frustration.

  I called linksys free of charge and the problem was the internet light on the router is not light, so the agent told me that it be replaced.

  This looks like a lightweight access point. In my view, there is no t conf option, because everything is done through the controller.

  I changed the conf file and when I try the link http://localhost: port/server-status I am able to view the status of the server.
  
  However by adding in hypric HQ - configuration properties, I get the error message "the Agent error: could not open Windows Service: Apache2.
  
  Here's the Setup: in
  General properties > chemin_installation > c:\ < path to app\apache
  Configuring properties > < IP address of the machine > hostname
  port < port I provide everything by logging into the application >

  By clicking on OK, I get the error

  I had the similar problem because my windows service named apache2. 2 instead of Apache2. Please go to Panel--> Services and check your windows for Apache service name.

• E535 cannot ram configuration change (downgrade)

  I can't change my ram more. This is a stupid problem.-, -.

  I'm running on 6 gb:

  1 samsung 4 GB @1600 mhz (original stick)

  1kingston 2 GB 1333 MHz

  It works fine except it gets really hot (80 c)

  I tried to remove the slots one by one. but never managed to get into the BIOS once changed.

  also tried to move the joysticks and just 2x2gb, even with just the original it will not get in the bios.

  Sometimes I'm the motherboard beebs and sometimes I just get a black screen.

  but it only starts in the BIOS when I put them back where they were in first place.

  I tried remove the battery of the bios, but who comes also resets the time-, -.

  RESOLVED:

  It was the quick start of windows 8! Somehow it kept me form change the ram!

  I turned it off and was able to change the ram npnp.

  Steps to disable fastboot:

  go to: control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Power Options\System settings > disable the fastboot

  Fastboot is a new feature that speeds up the boot process by creating a file of hibernation which contains the system configuration data is reloaded every time that a PC starts.  In most cases, if Windows 8 detects a change in the configuration of PC, it will ignore the hibernation file and perform a normal boot process which reloads the kernel, services, device drivers, and applications.

  Shutdown of Windows 8 is just a hibernation. In most cases it works when you change the device, but not always. I want more people should know this. It's a really simple solution to a problem I've had trouble with during half a year.

  It's stupid, I couldn't find anything on windows 8 interfering with ram on google. I tried several times even on fastboot interfering with the ram in particular.

  That's why I posted here on the forums of lenovo in the first place, because I thought that if this problem is not associate windows need associated with lenovo.

  There must be more people having this problem!  I spend too much time on this thing.

• Install the new - cannot ping configured gateway or DNS servers

  My old VMWare ESXi 3.5 OS got corrupted I did a fresh install of VMWare ESXi 4. It installed ok and I was able to configure everything successfully, but when I run the network test it is impossible to ping anything whatsoever, but it's own IP address.

  I have another machine on the same subnet with the same exact configuration (except for the hostname and IP static) settings and it works properly without any problem.

  I already checked the cable at the back and the green light is on and the flashing. I tried to restart the machine after having placed in the configuration information and settings remained at what I put in, but I still get the same result. The network test is a failure.

  Does anyone have any suggestions as to what could be the cause of this?

  How do you have installed and configured network adapters?  Have you tried swapping the cables between network cards?

  Also, do you have the trunks VLAN configured on the switch?  It is possible, that you must specify a trunk VLAN for the management network to do the work.  That would probably have already been configured on your host 3.5 but is not automatically detected and added.

• HP Mini 110-1025BR: HP Mini 110 BIOS cannot be configured. Password missed.

  When turn it on, it asks for user password is empty.

  When I try to enter the BIOS to remove this password check, it asks password admin who is unknown.

• Vista cannot properly configure security updates

  From the Windows update site Lexmark driver download, Vista fails to set up new security updates. so they keep download every time I turn on my system and then fail to set up the next time I start up.

  The restore point created when I downloaded the drivers Lexmark has been deleted, so I can't restore my system.

  Vista seems to work ok, but I'm afraid I do not have the latest security.

  I appreciate the thoughts and recommendations.

  Go to the Lexmark device and try to restore the device driver to the version that was functioning before the installation of Windows Update.  Then see if the problem is resolved.

  If this does not work, try to uninstall the update of the Lexmakr driver in the start menu / Control Panel / programs and features / updates installed and then reboot and see if that solves the problem.

  If this does not work, go to Lexmakr and get the latest drivers for your system and the versions of Vista and install instead of what you currently have.  Go to the Device Manager by going to start / find and type Device Manager and enter and then double-click on the program icon that appears.  Check each device to a red x, yellow! or white?  These identify devices with problems probably (drivers, but also of conflict or something else).  Click on each for more details and troubleshooting tips.  If you need to get drivers (and you do it for the Lexmark device), get the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you need to disable the autopilot from Windows Update updates as follows: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/.   I recently installed (on win7 Professional 64 bit)

  for virtual pc/windows xp mode.  I restarted and when I go to setup xp mode and in the menu start, windows virtual pc menu is empty, yet all the updates state that they have successfully installed.

  Any thoughts on what I'm missing?
