Cannot read a full buffer on keithley 6485

Hello

I'm taking steps using a Keithley 6485. The vi configures the instrument to take 2500 points and store them in the internal buffer. The configuration is ok and it records as requested but when I try to retrieve the data from the internal buffer a big Chuck of it is missing. This seems to be a problem when I put the size of the buffer is greater than 1000 points.
I also get an error from the event handler timeout (expect RQS) when the buffer size is greater than 1000 points. Error code ~ 1073807339.

I tried to increase the timeout and byte count nothing helps.

Suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
~ Mariano

Hi Dennis,

Thanks for the suggestion. I found that I had some minor problems on the code of the SCPI by using the maximum NIvisaic I've also added a node property timeout of vi, rather than directly on the QR vi Manager.

Now, I know that it is a very common problem, but so far, I found nothing like that that I have a problem with. First of all:

    • Acer Aspire Z5600
    • Windows 7 home x 64
    • Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5400 2.70 GHz
    • 3.00 GB Ram
    • 500 GB internal Hardrive, 1 TB external hard drive
    • Intel G45/G43 Express Chipset
    • Native resolution 1920 x 1080

Good at little about 3 months ago I had no problem with mode full screen and each game worked perfectly. Now, there are no games that I have who will play full screen without the screen goes funky on me. By funky I mean it becomes black, white, gray, (segments of quarter blue/red/green/yellow) then black again and go through this program permanently. I uninstalled the chipset and reinstalled with new drivers. I changed and tried all resolutions in all games with always the same effect, and this also happens when I try to change the native resolution. Nothing works but 1920 x 1080.

If anyone can help me would be great. My chance is just something simple, but I've exhausted my brain on this issue for some time and I would like to help.

(It is written for someone who does not know too well with Windows 7. Windows Vista must be the same fix. If there are any Windows XP delivers like this, post and I'll do what I can)

OK I'm back after a busy holiday season and I solved the problem (of course, it was so easy). I did enter my menu START, click DEVICES AND PRINTERS. According to this device, your video card is under (mine is in my computer, all in a single image) you want to double-click on that one. Go to the HARDWARE tab and scroll down until you see your video card, you have installed (you can see a lot of options related to the card as well. It is fine). You're going to go into the PROPERTIES of all the topics containing your card and ROLL BACK THE DRIVER on the DRIVERS tab. This will remove updates that Microsoft has put on your card finally allowing you to play fullscreen (resize your resolution).

I checked all Microsoft sites, Articles, affiliates, or even any help sites and the sad thing was, there was no help on this. However, I find a certain blip little info that triggered my mind to this fix. Microsoft had indicated there was a lot of problems with the updates that came out recently. That's all they said. Nothing to try and help and any info on how they will solve this problem with a new updated. As far as I know, there will be no update for this problem for ACER Z5600 all in One Touch screen PC Media.

If restore all your drivers causing problems for any other software you have (no problem for me), then I suggest to update all your drivers again and do trial and error with restore and update until you have all the programs happy. If all cannot coincide, then I propose to replace one of you're games/programs (any software is to give the question) to a more reputable.

Well, I really hope that this hotfix helps everyone with this problem. My life just that became much easier and not more mind frying time, lol. If this does work for you, then please click on "Mark as answer" if others can also enjoy their time again. : D

  • Satellite U300 - CD/DVD drive cannot read disks

My CD/DVD drive does not work.

It can be heard at work (or maybe working), but it cannot read the discs - music films or niether. The 'properties', says the disk is full, but can not read the contents. Neither is it give details of the content.

If I run iTunes or Real Player, suffice to say it is a blank disc in the drive and told me to get ready to burn to a disc. But in his own info says that the disc is full! Windows XP sees the drive in 'Properties' and said that it is complete, but does not display the contents of the disc. Devices, said the drive (type HL-DT-STDVDRAM GSA-U10N) "working properly".

I have turned off the HDD (software protection movement) protection because he stirs a warning whenever the unit darn picked. I tried to use the drive with it on and outside. My computer is 18 months old (I think), but this problem has existed for a year and gets more and more frustrating.

  • Keithley 6485 error 800, "not consistent with active storage."

    Hello

I use a Keithley 6485 to acquire a buffer of 40 measures, triggered via triggerlink.

The VI works well, but of course, what happens if no trigger is to send to the device?

So, after a timeout, the unit is configured again (reset and configuration commands).

This is then the error produced responses from the instrument: '800, 'noncompliant with active storage' '.

The source is that there is always an active storage (visible on the screen) and I try to reconfigure the buffer.

    Here: http://torque.oncloud8.com/archives/cat_keithley_6430.html

I found a way to leave the mode of storage of the façade:

When debugging of labview for the 6430 programs, you could get stuck with a "noncompliant with active storage" error This occurs when the aircraft is expected store data, but you try to give orders that change, for example, the size of the buffer. I have to admit, when I first stumbled across this, I am frustrated and rebooted the machine. The "Asterix" in the upper right corner indicates use it is in storage mode, where the error. Out of this, you must not turn off the machine. Simply tap LOCAL (to get out of the remote control) and then the STORE and then LEAVE. Phew.

Can someone help me on how to do that through SCPI commands?

I've tried Keithley support of the Netherlands, but they don't have an idea.

    THX,

    Ben Engelen

Support of the keithley guys gave me a work around the problem: use the controls of the SCPI to push buttons.

so before you send the reset command is send to the following:

    YST:KEY 28;     -store the button
    YST:KEY 32;     -exit button

    : * RST;                  -reset

  • Error "Cannot read disc" after nc4200 replacement hard drive

    Hi all

I read through the postings but did not see an exact match for the issue I'm having.

My 5 year old needed nc4200 finally a replacement hard drive.  I bought a new 120 GB ATA-6 WD Scorpio Blue 40 GB ATA-7 Toshiba plant.  I was able to clean up a few errors on the old disk and the Partition Magic 8.0 successfully used to copy all the data in a single primary partition on the new 120 GB drive using all available space.

I started with success the drive on the Windows desktop using a separate post of full PC.  When I inserted the new, WD drive in my nc4200 however I got an error "cannot read disc" immediately after the MESSAGE.  The BIOS is a short wee on tests of diagnostic and other information on the hard drive, but I ran with success a test drive in the menu of the BIOS with the net results.

I have advanced and updated the BIOS to version F.0F thinking there may be some 1024 cylinders deliver or other incompatibility big disk, but this new version also shows the error of reading.  At this point, I'm stumped.  Why this new boot in my desktop PC drive but fail in my nc4200?  What do I have to use some tools HP blessed to make this readable disk?

    Thanks in advance!

Well, I guess you can call this one resolved.  I sent the WD Scorpio Blue 120 GB drive (model WD1200BEVE) and ordered a WD Scorpio Blue 80 GB (model WD800BEVE) instead.  I cloned my old Toshiba 50 GB 5400 RPM (model MK6026GAX) with Acronis True Image WD Edition.  I installed the new drive in my nc4200 and pulled upward on the first try!

I'm still not sure why the 120 GB didn't work.  The only thing I noticed is that the done 120 GB one noise rattling and the 80 GB is not then maybe the drive was defective.  I'll never know however, if it was the drive or the size of the drive, that was the question, but I hope that this info will be useful to someone else looking to exchange a HD of aging in a nc4200.

  • Bridge cannot read the format from my new camera RAW

I just bought a new Sony SLT - A58 but bridge says that it cannot read the RAW format, so, I can't download my pictures.

I went online and found an Adobe Camera Raw 6.7.1 and DNG Converter 7.4 plugins that supposidely would solve the problem. Nothing helps. Still refuse to recognize the RAW format.

Desperate as it's my job to camera and and need it up and runing as soon as possible. I have had absolutely no problem with my older Sony A100.

What's weird is that... If I pass the photos in the converter, it shows me the .dng pictures version, so something is there. Why the bridge can not see my RAW photos? ... and also, leave tons of caches and weird icons in the file, a real mess.

I'm on Mac OS 10.6.8 platform (Snow Leopard) and using CS5... and Yes, all my programs and software are up-to-date.

    Thank you for your help...

    ... and happy new year

So if the RAW support is specific, why do a plugin for CS5 and for my camera?

Adobe has released versions of Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) immediately to ACR 1.0 (which was compatible with Photoshop 7). However, cameras supported varies according to the version of ACR and the version of the Adobe application.

    You must match:

    • your camera brand and model
    • the version of Camera Raw that takes in charge your camera brand and model
    • the specific version of Adobe software that supports the version of Camera Raw that you need.

In your case, the Sony SLT - A58 was first based ACR 7.4 - which is only supported in CS6 and later versions. CS5 is not compatible with ACR7.4.

Full list of supported devices is here

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/Creative-Suite/KB/camera-raw-plug-supported-cameras.html

Applications of camera Raw compatible Adobe are listed here

    http://helpx.Adobe.com/x-productkb/global/camera-raw-compatible-applications.html

CS5 is certainly not an antique and the A58 Sony isn't a huge technology Hasselblad. I have friends who have a large Nikon and Sony A77 and Canon and import their FIRST in their Bridge CS5.

All that matters is that the specific camera corresponds with what version of ACR - and what applications are Adobe are compatible with this version of ACR.

Can't comment on great Nikon or Canon mentioned above without specific camera model numbers.

However, the Sony A77 is supported by ACR6.5 which is compatible with Bridge CS5 +. Easy to see why this combination works.

Similarly, your Sony A100 was first supported by ACR 3.5, which is compatible with Bridge CS2 +. Easy to see why it works.

Always read the tables linked above Adobe and cross with each other. That should clear up your confusion.
