Cannot save documents after scanning

I have Acrobat Pro DC, working on a Surface Pro 4.  I use my printer/scanner/copier Brother to analyze.  Lately when I scan a document and go to save, the Save as appears, but the box is empty/Virgin and there is nowhere where to click to save the document.  It was happening on each others time and when he did, if I liquidated everything and tried again, it would work.  Now, it seems that I have to do 5 - 6 times before it will appear.  It's annoying and I need to fix it.  Suggestions?

Hi andyc97079175,

Please provide the exact point of the software & OS installed on your system. Also check if it is there any update available for the software after crossing "" help > check updates "»

If you found empty "Save as" window, then try this: -.

Acrobat > edit > Preferences > General > under basic tools, please uncheck the option "Online storage see saving files", then OK & restart the application.

If you are facing a sweep of issues, please refer to this article:- of the troubleshooting tips for scanning questions when using Acrobat

  • DeskJet 2540: Cannot SAVE document after scanning it (SAVE grey button)

I recently bought a new Macbook Pro and migrated all data, software, etc. during my old MacBook Air. Everything went successfully.

A problem, I just noticed that I have, however, is with saving a document scanned to a file. The "SAVE" button is grayed out.

So, wireless, I can scan the document (s) - no problem. Only, I can't save it. This applies to all formats - pdf, tiff, jpeg, etc.

This was never a problem on my MacBook Air.

Please let me know if you have encountered a similar problem and how I could go about solving.

    Thank you very much.

Had the same issue, in anticipation of a software update for OS Sierra HP, you can press on print and then save them in PDF format. It worked for me until HP updates its software I guess.

  • Cannot save document

    I am using GoLive CS2 v 8.0.1

Mac OS x 10.6.7 on a Mac Pro w / two quadricoeurs Xeon Quad-core processors

I opened my site, made a small change, and when I tried to save the site, I received this error message: cannot save the document, OS Error (-36).

When I try to open the same site again, I am told that cannot read the site. When I opened the backup site, change, I had done is visible but I can't save this backup site either.

Opening of the previous copies of the site from another disk gives the same results; I can open the site, the brand changes, but could not be saved successfully the site without it corrupts.

I use the same version of GoLive with success for several years, changing from the same site, and now it suddenly impossible to save the site.

I've updated to OSX 10.6 in December and have used GoLive successfully since then.  I don't remember when the system did the 10.6.7 update and am not sure if I've used GoLive since it happened.

This sounds like a corruption of the application?  If so, is my best course of action just reload the software?

There is a compatibility problem between GoLive 8.0.1 and OS x 10.6.7?

    What should do?

Did you check and fix permissions? Reloading the software is not necessary. Removal of preferences could be.

  • How to save document after extraction of pages?  Cannot do in conventional save as.

After successfully extracted from the pages of a document, I tried to save the modified document, but was unable to do so by the classical method of "save under".  He just showed a blank screen instead of a list of folder to save to.  Same thing happened when I combined the files.  Any help?

    Hi alansilverberg,

Please choose the option "Pages extracted as separate files", once you check out the pages, you will be asked to select the location where you want Acrobat to save the extracted pages. Give it a try.

Also you option "save under" should work. Please open Acrobat, go to the Help menu and repair the installation. Check if this solves your conventional method of "save under".

    Hi @GTR3,

Welcome to the Forum from HP Support.

I see that you are unable to print the PDF scanned documents with your HP Officejet Pro 8610 e-all-in-one printer. I would like to help.

You are able to print any other format PDF on the Mac, or the question is just limited to your scanned PDF files? Whether the soft friendly PDF work with - Adobe Reader or Foxit Reader?

In the meantime, I recommend you try the following steps:

    • Uninstall your printer - click here for instructions.
    • Fix permissions of the disc on your Mac - click here for instructions.
    • Once you have finished running the utility above, restart your computer.
    • Finally, click here to reinstall your printer.

Please let me know the result of your troubleshooting by responding to this post. If I helped you to solve the problem, feel free to give me a virtual h.o.t. by clicking the "Thumbs Up" icon below and by clicking to accept this solution.

Thanks for posting in the Forum from HP Support. Have a great day!

  • Pavilion P6310yPC: I can't open documents after scanning

Recent changes. The PC has opened a day with a blue full screen with messages of auto repair of floating, but would not meet one

attempt to enter. I took the machine to Office Depot, where they have a Tech Department with trained professionalpersonnel. I have regretably had upgraded to w7 w10. They could not solve the problem of the blue screen, while they

progressed out W7 platform f the W10. I n ' think any W7 is W10, so there were a lot of problems and after 4or 5 visits, I thought I could live with what I had. However, this problem with scanned documents is intolerable!    Help!

    Hello ralaf,

Your question would be more by our computer forum, it seems that you have a problem with opening PDF or JPEG files. Most likely what happened was when they installed Windows 10, then installed Windows 7, your PDF/JPEG basic application has not been reinstalled or well positioned.

I'll ask a moderator to move your post on the forum of the computer for assistance.

  • Cannot save pdf after deleting or adding pages? (any changes to the folder)

    Hi all

I just joined this forum community.

(I use Windows 7 Pro 64 - bit os and Adobe Acrobat Pro XI with all updates).

I have constant problems when I try to save my file. I do nothing else than the combination of multiple pages into a single pdf file or I'm a page (s) remove the file. When it comes time to save the file, I get a dialog box saying that be the file "cannot be saved because it is protected either right or it is used by another user." It's happening with older files and created files.

The only work around I have found is, after making all my changes, I then shut all my windows folders then the quick save will work. Any other suggestions to reolve this or an explanation would be greatly appreciated.

    I thank you,

  • LaserJet pro 200 M276nw: cannot fax document after upgrade to Windows 10 with LJ Pro 200 M276nw

After the upgrade to Windows 10, I am not able with a facsimile of a document (e.g. Word). I am able to fax directly from the printer. I get the message: unable to communicate with the device.  When I got to the printer at the beginning of last year, this same question occurred when in Windows 7, when my browser has been updated to IE 11. The solution was to go back to IE 10 because of an IE fix the origin of the problem.  I would have thought that things would have been developed for Windows 10.  How I set up so that I can fax a document and from the desktop?

I found the patch 'Question Fax with 11 fix IE - HPLJ_M276_Fax utility' that solved the problem.

I create packages of large agenda and have often enter and modify. When I try to save the edited version he invites me with this file already exists you want to save it, I say Yes and then I get this message "the file may be read-only or another user can open. Please save the document under a different name or in a different folder. I'm the only person in the office, working on these documents, so I know this isn't the issue. My work around is to save with the same name_1 and then go back later, delete the original, and change the name on the edited version. Any ideas?

  • Cannot open documents after you have uninstalled the Office publisher trial version

Two days ago, I uninstalled a trial of desktop publisher that has happened, that it is the trial period.
Now when I open a doc ask me to insert the Office xp professional CD but I have Office Home edition factory installed.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you

It was a trial version, so you couldn't use unlimited number.
Also if you want to use this application you need to buy this software.

However, you said that you are an owner of office home edition. Then why you n t install this software and use it instead of Office xp professional.
