• Double-click issue when it should only click 1 time

  I'm having a problem when I click my mouse 1 time, he thinks that I double clicked it.  It must be the new computer with Windows 8 as my old computer has never had a problem.  I use the computer to place their orders online for a particular company and now when I single click it's duplicate each order I place.  I had someone access to their computer and enter an order for me and that they have no problem.  I thought that maybe it was my computer then I used my laptop which also has Windows 8 and it's the same thing.

  I looked at my settings/click of mouse and it shows a small folder icon and you click to select the speed of the double click you want; However, I thought that maybe it would show that the folder open when I click 1 time.  There can be no.  I certainly had to double-click it to open it.  Shouldn't this mean then when I use my mouse to click 1 time it has clicked 1 times.

  Then I thought that maybe there are some types of viruses on my computer, but I scanned and nothing shows.  Could it be something with my internet provide?

  I will try to help you with this question.

  The speed of the double click you speak is to check how it behaves when you double-click on a folder. In addition, the mouse clicks are the same for Windows 8 as well.

  Have you tried to install a different mouse of the computer and the laptop to check the status of the question?

  This problem can occur for the following reasons:

  • Are you inadvertently double-click instead of single-click.
  • The mouse settings have been changed, either manually or by another program, to send a command of multiple clicks when you perform a single physical click.
  • Mouse drivers are corrupt.
  • The material of the mouse is defective.

  You can try the following steps and check.

  Method 1: Verify your clicking method.

  Make sure that you do a true single physical click. A single click occurs when you press and release the mouse button once.

  Method 2: Test the mouse in multiple programs

  Close all programs and test for the problem on the desktop and in other components of Microsoft Windows, such as control panel or Microsoft Windows Explorer.

  If the problem only occurs in a particular program, solve this program. The program can use the custom mouse controls.

• Videos recorded in Captivate will not play when publishing

  Hi all!  I'm looking for more help, here.  I have been troubleshooting for a while and can't seem to find a solution to the problem I am facing.

  I recorded a few training video systems using Captivate 7 who don't play, once the projects are published.  I retouched it and they work fine in the preview, but once I publish to SWF format, they do not play.  At least not properly.  The screen image is not, nor is audio playback.  Some sporadic animations, I put in place appear and seem to follow the chronology of the original video, however.

  It seems not important to know if I publish these files in a ZIP file or not.  I test these on a Sharepoint site, but they will be eventually displayed at the LMS of my company.

  Someone has experienced this before?  Anyone has any advice that can help me to go beyond this technical problem? 

  Post your content SCORM cloud LMS online and test it there.  If the video works of SCORM Cloud nothing change, then your problem is with the way that Sharepoint is implemented.  If the video does not work in SCORM Cloud, there is something wrong with the way your project is set up.  Maybe the link to the video file always shows a path to the video file that is valid on your own machine, which means that the link will break when the content is placed anywhere else.

  I have a project with about 100 slides, about 30 video, basically the rest of the audio. When I publish, when users are clicking around, they sometimes lose sound. A friend said when he updated the problem disappeared. Any suggestions on what to try?

  You can try to synchronize the video to the timeline of captivate.  You do this by selecting you video on each slide and in the properties panel, select checkbox to synchronize with the project .

  

• Windows Movie Maker crashes when publishing in any form.

  I was using Windows Movie Maker to make a photo slideshow. I tried to post it on my computer, but it will crash. With active DEP, Windows prompted me that DEP has closed the program. When I disabled DEP, it does not work too.

  I don't have a lot of software on my computer. I reinstalled windows and it works. I try to upgrade to windows vista service pack 2 and see if it still works.

  If you copy a bookmark in a list of smart folder and paste in another folder, then you create a copy, and you have the bookmark in two folders.

• How to publish Captivate 8 in Flash with HTML5 projects aid only when no flash browser support?

  I am in a multiscreen/reagents project, and I can't find an option to publish the project to Flash with fallback to HTML5. The goal is to have a nice animation of my PowerPoint presentation (which I imported), but only if the browser is not flash support to static sliding HTML5. I noticed that when the project is multi-screen, it does not allow exporting Flash?

  How can I solve this? Or should I recreate the project without the multiscreen support?

  Sorry to tell you, but that is totally contradictory: sensitive to publish Flash project. A sensitive project is a source to be consulted on all types of devices. The only devices that support Flash at the moment are desktop computers / laptops. This is the reason why you will never be able to publish a Flash-sensitive project.

  You can create a normal project, publish both SWF and HTML5 and tick the option to scale. Captivate supports to detect which device is used and will offer the SWF (always the most reliable and standardized solution) or HTML5. PowerPoint is a bad starting point, it is quite sensitive. You can capture a video of this animation if it's so important (would only myself but use an animation application dedicated to HTML5 as Edge animate) and insert the video into a sensitive project.

Play video it works only in a new window. The problem is the customer's requested integrated video and it shows as an option in Captivate 8. In addition, the video screen is not at the same place on the screen, the image moves to the top of the browser window in Internet Explorer. Graphics problems appear ONLY in IE and Chrome for PC. We have updated browsers, installed all updates to Captivate 8 etc.

  The issue seems to be with internet explore. The url is *.mp4, if IE browser opens Media player in a new window to read the files.

  Workaround solution:

  Instead of using the interaction of the Web object, you can use a Web object (objects-> Web) site in the menu object.

  After insertion, select the code incorporated in the style of the real property section. (Screenshot below)

  

  Encapsulate the url in an HTML video tag and use it as input.

• Scroll box TLF Flash inserted in captivate producing bad fonts to publish?

  I hope that someone has encountered this and has a solution!  I use Captivate 5.5 and 5.5 Flash.  I've created boxes of scrolling in flash to incorporate in captivate project as an animation.  These scroll boxes need to be formatted more that allows classic text in Flash, so I'm usin gle TLF text option so that I can change the color and font in the same text.  I create and when I test the movie in flash, chrome or even using the playback feature when I right click on the animation imported into captivate everthing looks great... All Arial fonts all right fromatted.  When I publish it however, it turns into times new roman (or a font very similar looking) and the only formatting (font differences) as eraf rest color changes, all placing in italics or bold disappears.

  Also during the publication of flash I incorporate all glyphs for each font that I use thinking that maybe my problem is the only embedded fonts (no supplements don't like times new roman)

  I really need to use a certain boxes of scrolling in my creation and not be able to format text diffently will present a major challenge.

  Any ideas or things to try?

  I found my answer after more research and here is what I found.  I'm not sure flash guru, and when using TLF in Flash by default creates a .swz file that seems to be instructions on the way flash needs to format your text.

  In any case, long and short of it is that this problem is corrected in file--> Script of Action settings - in the Middle click the library path tab, and then change unrolling the DEFAULT binding: box to merged into code in Flash

  Basically, I think that this does is takes the preloader data and incorporates in the SWF, the result is the text that is formatted in the way you intended! Woohoo!

  Hope this helps someone in the future with the same problem.

  I have a button with a 'Execute JavaScript' action and event failed to get a simple alert("hello"); to work when published under the title of SWF.  I tried to publish with each different versions of Flash Player.  JavaScript works well when it released as HTML5.

• Flash does not display when published

  When publishing my flash site, the only thing that appears on the screen is a link to a flash update.  I don't know why that is.  I have just updated on my computer.  I think it has to do with the code in the html code generated by the flash.  Please take a look and let me know.  Thank you

  Nevermind, I found the answer...

  For someone else who has the same problem...

  This 15.0.0.0 value by default and must be set to the latest version of flash.

  Something should look at adobe.

  Hope this helps anyone who has had the same problem.

  I use Windows Movie Maker to create a photo slideshow set to music. In addition, each photo has a caption.

  Here's my problem:

  Some photo captions are messy when I publish the movie. For example, "TCS 1999" shows as "SDC 199" in the published version, even if "SDC 2000" remains the same in the published version. " Not every picture is affected, but it is irritating.

  I would appreciate anyone's insight into this matter.

  A few ideas.

  It may be worth trying to go to... Tools / Options / Compatibility tab and
  Uncheck all filters / OK.

  Maybe some of your video clips are not fully compatible with the film
  Maker. Even if they can play when on the timeline... compatibility
  question arises when the project is published in a final movie WMV file.

  FWIW... Several formats are apparently compatible with Movie Maker but
  the most reliable choices are:

  Photos - bmp

  Video - wmv or dv - avi

  Audio - wav, wma, wmv

  And sometimes make a project as large and complex can cause problems.

  Automatic video option might be worth a try:
