CD and DVD cannot format or save

Windows XP - sp3 teacher with NEC DVD +-RW and CD-R/RW Samsung.

After update 09/06/10, lost all data interfaces account limted to restore them, were still available.

But... I can read CD and DVD discs, but cannot 'format', it is not high informed in the disk management window.  I reloaded Sonic and he tries to 'format' but it runs and runs some, but formats not.  I must kill the pgm and logoff to get the cd to stop and eject.  Now removed Sonic and Itunes.

Properties removed drive had several times, "record" to display, I ran 'fix it' 'filter limits', set the IMAPI to Auto check for DMA Direct a TI, circulates in all the success. "' help ' notes and to the given list.  Fix - it keeps saying CD and DVD are not a recordable device, and they have installed and CD/DVD burner.

I uninstalled them, powered out and upward. When I copy data to run the CD as it is formatted and changes color of the CD as it was formatted, but the Wuzzerd comes back and say I must write the files on the CD.

If I could get help in "tags that define the recordable CD/DVD somewhere in the registry, would be nice.

Oh I even rolled back the system registry from before the update of 06/09/10.

Articles: 811151, 982116, 316529, 322756,306084,318011, difficulty of a corrupt profile, others not related but noted "Fix - it".

I was in the wrong forum (Vista), but have now restored systen 07/06/10 (no changes noted).

ITunes/Iphone says "I have to reload it write CD/DVD registry objects were missing."  I did and always comes back with the same msg.

I work on the plan to offload all personal hard drive files (new) Flash memory or removable (new), most all delete and start with Windows 7.  This old sow (OS) works well for 9 years and is running out of gas, window 7 says my hardware will operate at 3.3 Ghz and 1 G of RAM.

Thank you

Jerry

The problem is with chipset of DELL.  Ignored by Dell and went to Intel and downloaded the updates for my chip set and it solves the problem.

  • Error setting in the form of CD - RW problem: Windows cannot format this type of disc. Insert another disk and try again.

Original title: problem formatting CD - RW

I want to copy some files (word documents) on a CD - RW. I just bought a new box of these discs: Memorex high speed 12 X 800 MB 80 min

When I put a disc in my d drive, I get the following error message:Windows cannot format this type of disc.  Insert another disk and try again.

However, I went in the d drive and clicked on delete, just to see if it would work.  It recognizes the disc as a CD - RW, and erased, and said I could now burn files to it.  I tried to copy the files to and and again got the error message.

If anyone can help me with this problem, I would be very happy!

    Thank you!

    Hi mariec59,

1 does happen with all disks?
    2. what program you use to burn the disc?

    b. click Microsoft hotfix and run the tool successfully.
    c. restart the computer and check if the problem persists.

    Hello

The "power calibration error" message is a problem that occurs with the more recent writers as older. These means of error message that the CD/DVD writer cannot write in the blank CD/DVD because it can t match the output power of the laser power to write CD/DVD.

  • Add/Remove components error and DVD driver error: Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Original title: Add/Remove components error and DVD driver error

Yesterday, I removed several components of windows to attempt to clean my cpu. After the reboot, I noticed that my DVD drive disappeared. I tried to update the driver but told me I have the most updated version, I uninstalled and reinstalled the drive, but I still get the same error. Under Driver Details, it shows that I have a lot of drivers for my Phillips DVD player. However, the status of the device is the following: Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device. I've done the troubleshooting, and the two options has not fixed the problem.

Then I tried to add windows components that I removed, thinking maybe that was the problem. However, when I try to add them, I get an error message that says: 'Setup cannot copy the file zClientm.ex_' it shows the location of this file as being in windows/i386, and of course, the file is located in this folder. So when I go to browse to locate the file, I find and click on it to open it, but I keep getting the same error message that the file is not found and Setup cannot continue.

I realize that this problem seems very rare and weird, but any help at all would be appreciated. Thank you.

  • Windows media player cannot read CDs and DVDs

MS supports says my Player DVD is dead and needs a new drive. So, I just install a new ROM DVD and still have the same problem - cannot read CDs and DVDs.

When I play the CD, I always get the error meessage--(lecteur Windows media a rencontré une erreur lors de la lecture de lecteur de CD en mode numérique...). 'Digital' is selected under the tool-> properties-> device.

When I play DVD, it is frozen my laptop or keep spinning and froze the Windows Explorer and the reader.

I was able to read DVDs and CDs once after a few restart. During playback of CD the WMP abruptly stopped with error message and since that time cannot play CD DVD & more.

So far, I did a few fixs that I found online and nothing wroks:

    * No upperfilter or UpperFilter registry

    * Uninstall and let the laptop automatically reinstall the driver

    * Ms. Fix it gives different results every time I run the fix-(1) detects no problem and therefore no patches have been applied (2) the main media in the CD drive is not readable (same CD has played correctly when using external USB DVD rom)

Can someone help and let me know what that could be the problem and how to fix it! Thank you!

    Hi Amy,

You can read the following article to clear the Windows Media Player database and check if it helps.

You cannot view, add, or delete items in the library of Windows Media Player 11

If you have any third-party media player installed on the system, then check if the DVD player works with it.
