HP Zbook Studio G3: error cd/dvd device driver missing
Hello guys,.
When I try to install windows 7 Enterprise 64-bit on Zbook Studio G3, I get the lack cd/dvd device driver. I tried all the possible drivers, but no luck
Any help would be appreciated
Thank you
concerning
Generally, it is an indication that the you use the Windows 7 installation media that is inserted in a USB3.0 port. Windows 7 is not supported with native support for USB3.0 and requires the installed USB 2.0 port or a USB3.0 port emulation USB 2.0. In addition, there may be issues when you try to install Windows 7 on an Intel SkyLake chipset.
The first step would be to go through the BIOS and see if there is an option for the compatible mode or emulation for USB ports.
Alternatively, you can contact HP to see if they have material recovery/restore for Windows 7 to your computer.
If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Device Manager has a yellow ball with an asterisk on the CD & DVD devices. My computer does not display a device. The Device Manager has a message that the driver may be corrupted or missing (Code 39). It happened after uninstalling Norton and McAfee installation. I uninstalled McAfee and tried to install the drivers. I uninstalled and reinstalled the device. Still no CD or DVD displayed in my count. Everybody recognizes the problem?
Original title: CD & DVD devices do not work
Try following the steps under "Windows XP" in the article following the MS KB:
http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/982116
These measures, to remove the UpperFilters and LowerFilters, values if they exist, in the registry key named can help.
Create a System Restore Point beforehand and restart the computer later.

When I try to install window 7 ultimate my Windows vista ultimate, the spectacle of the window the following error message "a required CD/DVD device driver is missing. If you have a driver floppy disk, CD, DVDm and USB flash drive, please insert it now. Roman Si the windows installation media is in the drive, you can remove it for this step. "I have the"TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS - L632H ATA Device"CD/DVD-ROM drive, and and it come preinstalled with no driver disk. So is there a solution to the problem?
You could try to copy the contents of the DVD to a folder on your hard drive. Then start the installation from there.
(I've seen a post or two during the upgrade to Windows 7 64 bit of Vista 32 bit). Could just be a funky DVDROM drive problem. Copy of the files should ignore the issue.
I hope this helps!

I have the same problem as a previous applicant. My hard drive went down and I had to replace it with a new one. Windows Vista is the operating system installed on my HP Pavilion and I try to use reinstall drive.
The message says "A required CD/DVD device driver is missing. If you have a driver disk, CD, DVD, or USB flash drive, please insert it now. »
I don't have a floppy drive on this machine, so I'll have to do the installation from a USB key.
I tried so that it points to the Installation DVD, but it was still impossible to find the required driver.
Thank you

Students cannot "connect/disconnect the virtual machine's CD/DVD devices.
I will start with this context (and apologies for the wall o ' text): I'm a newbie. I took the course VMware local community college offers [VMware ESXI Server Enterprise (CIS197)], but I've not yet certified. And I don't have a real experience, except what I have taught myself so far.
I recently accepted a position of learning associated with the College (think: glorified lab tech). I was tasked to work with stuff from VMware in the laboratory (among other things such as Cisco and Juniper equipment). There is no pass-down information like the previous left the position four months ago.
We have a single host running ESXi 348481 4.1.0. "We have vCenter Server (5.5.0, 1312298), running on Windows Server (2008 R2, Enterprise Edition). Access host and vCenter through two different IP, addresses using the vSphere client (either 5.5 or 4.1, using a single application - depends to know if I connect to the host or vCenter).
At that time, the host is using local storage only (we have plans to change this, but it will take time). The host is not a production on its own server, because it does not have a school systems. He does, however, run a number of virtual machines in the lab, students use (Linux, Microsoft, Web design, etc.). So, right now, I can't take it down.
I was tasked to create a number of virtual machines that students can use to make the basic labs of Microsoft Windows 7. So far, I have:
-Created users, one per student, on the host.
-Creating VMs, deploy one per student, I have a gold model vcenter.
-Creation of roles to limit the access of students to just their VM attributed, which they access via client vSphere.
-Created a Windows Server 2008 R2 domain controller that is also a DHCP server.
-Created a virtual network, which is accessible only by the Windows 7 virtual machines and is not visible outside the vSphere environment (if I said this right - he does not see the Internet or school network). So far, it's all good.
However, I need to be able to allow students the ability to edit the ISO file on which their VM points in order to complete some laboratories. I guess they would use the button "connect/disconnect the virtual machine's CD/DVD devices" on the taskbar (or console window). It does not work.
I searched a lot and found that others have had the same problem. However, all of the solutions I've tried so far have failed. When they click 'Connect to ISO image on the data... store. "they get an error message means nothing to me,"an internal error has occurred in the vSphere Client. Details: Object Reference not set to an instance of an object. Contact VMware support if necessary.
The role that I use for students has these settings:
-Data store > Browse the data store
-Virtual Machine > Configuration > change the settings of the device
-Virtual Machine > Configuration > settings
-A bouquet under the virtual machine > Configuration >
-Configure CD media
-Console interaction
-Connection of the device
-On
-Power off
-(and more, which I don't believe are important to the question)
-State > create the snapshot
-State > go back to the snapshotI tried "Virtual Machine > Configuration > add existing disk", "Virtual Machine > Configuration > add new disk" and "Virtual Machine > Configuration > add or remove an instrument" with no luck.
Either by the way, the root account can do all these things, but no other account can - not even a game as an administrator account.
I've seen mention I have apply the role in the data store. It is perhaps part of the problem. I can't see the data store when I am connected to the host (wellll, I can, if I click on the host name, then on the Summary tab - but roles do not apply at this stage). I see is 'Inventory' (which has virtual machines and Pools of resources), 'Rôles' and 'log files '.
I can see the data store when logged in vCenter. Roles of students, however, are defined on the host computer. If I clone the role of users in vCenter and change this role cloned to have "permissions" that those who are on the host computer and then apply it to the data store, it still does not work.
So, after all this (which I hope I've included all the necessary information), what can I do to allow the students to change ISO to which they are connected?
Of course, if I left something, or if someone has a question, please ask. I want to get this resolved as soon as I can.
It turns out that I finally found the solution to the problem.
What 'fixed', it is sufficient to vSphere Web Client to vCenter, which then allowed us to use Single Sign-On (SSO). This, in turn, allowed us to define users and roles in vCenter (rather than having set them up directly on the host computer) which have then been applied to the VMS of students and also to the data store.
Now, they can (de-) connect their ISOs at will.
I find it interesting that vSphere Client (application) shows the users (and the things that they have access to), but it won't let you set of users.

Portege A600 - Windows 7 installation CD/DVD device driver
Hello.
I am trying to install Windows 7 Professional 64 bit on my Portege A600.
I tried to boot from the DVD, flash. I changed all of the possible settings in the BIOS, I have updated the BIOS to version 3.0, but I still have this bloody error "a required CD/DVD drive device driver is missing". Is there a place where I can download this driver to show the installer without having to download a 100 TB of pron?
Or is there a way to fix my problem?
Hello
First of all there is no special driver CD/DVD. It of a part of Windows 7 and so there are no drivers available.
It would be interesting to know when you get this error exactly.
Maybe your defective CD/DVD drive. You can test another?

Re: Code 10 DVD device is not found
Can someone tell me how to fix the error code #10. There, the laptop will let me play any CD or DVD, what I can do! in the ASP tell me they can do nothing to help me to do!
Hello
First go to the Device Manager and remove the drive from the list of devices CD/DVD.
Then access the registry and delete the Upperfilters and Lowerfilters completely from the following registry key values:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\ {4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}After removing this registry values reboot the laptop.
In my case, this procedure worked fine

Re: Satellite P200: impossible to the release of the video on an external HD-DVD device
I recently bought a Satellite P200 with a HD DVD player but when I try to play a disc I get the message
"Impossible for the release of the video on an external device. Please put your screen by pressing the Fn + F5 keys after the end of the application. »
This happens when I try to run the disc on the laptop with no other attached display device. I am doing something stupid or is there a problem with that?
Hello
I think I have a solution.
It seems that the Realtek audio driver causes this problem.According to this Toshiba document a new soud driver installation will help you solve this problem of HD - DVD.
Check it;

The initial problem was no audio sound on CD. The computer had other system sounds. I uninstalled the Realtek drivers and downloaded from the website computer and reinstalled. Still the same problem. I tried to adjust the volume control and clicked the speaker at the bottom on the right bar. I got a message saying there is no mixer device and the small speaker disappeared and reappeared even after several reboots. There is also an error "no audio device".
After reboot, the computer gives this error message: "Generic Host process for Win32 Services has encountered a problem and needs to close." We are sorry for the inconvenience. »
While trying to find a solution on the web, I discovered that the computer does not recognize the usb key,
It won't restore to an earlier time,
the CD/DVD drive will not run the data disksand Windows Update will not update. The error message said: "the site has encountered a problem and cannot display the page you are trying to show." There is an error number: 0x800706BE I tried to find this error message on the MS knowledge base, but it is not listed.
The last Windows Update was on April 16, 2009 so I tried to restore to April 15, but it says 'system restore is not able to protect your computer. Restart your computer and restart System Restore. " After the reboot, the same thing happens.
Any help is appreciated.
The data is not "hostage." Pull the disk and put it in a box disc or it slave to a working computer and retrieve the data. If you don't have an additional computer you will need to borrow a friend or with the machine at a tech. You can also try the o with a Linux Live CD boot. I like Knoppix, but there are others. This has two advantages: 1) if the system works, you can back up all the data that missed your last backup; and (2) with the machine running Linux allows to determine whether the problems are caused by software or hardware. If the machine is unbearably slow and/or Linux cannot run correctly, you know that the hardware is at fault. If the machine behaves perfectly under Linux, you know that the software (Windows) is at fault.
Whatever you do, do not install Windows without test material. If the hardware is at fault, software solutions like reinstalling Windows will be unnecessary. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!
