  I use LV2010 and NOR-DAQmx 9.2.2. I have a NOR cDAQ-9174 with a NEITHER-9215 4 channel 100 k simultaneous ADC and NOR-9402 4 channel DIO module trigger and reset.

  We run WinXP sp3 on a Dell M4400 core 2 duo @2. 26 Ghz.

  I used the code example NI DAQmx for acquisition of tension with trigger HW. My goal is to try all 4 channels on the 9215 simultaneously when a trigger is received on channel 0 of the 9402, after data is read, I use channel 1 on the 9402 to reset the trigger of the target material.  I have a version of this work, however the maximum event rate is ~ 16/second. I have the Setup 9215 for finite samples / 10 samples per channel which is ~ 400uSec of conversion time and I realize he is above in the appeal of vi, but ~ 50mSeconds worth?

  The target detector can put out up to 1 k / event triggers / seconds.  Only, I received a rate of 8 per second and I added the NOR-DAQmx control vi driver and chose "commit" this did double the rate.

  My question is what is the maximum rate of loop for these devices (trigger/conversion/reading device / reset) and start over? I noticed that just let free the 9215, carried out using the 'Acq & chart internal strain Clk' raised only the rate of events up to 20 Hz.

  Hi normbo663,

  You can get this works far better assuming you have an available counter (there are 4 on the backplane of the 9174).

  DAQ Compact supports the tasks of meter output "redeclenchables" that can be used to generate a finite pulse train.  You can set a task of finished meter redeclenchables output to be used as sample for your task of analog clock.  The task of the meter output will be re-Army (less than 12, 5-25 ns) as soon as it's finished out the last pulse.  The task of analog input would be configured to run continuously, but it would only sample based on the output of the meter triggered.  For an example, see here.

  You can reference the internal counters on the cDAQ without signals through a routing module using: cDAQ1/_ctr0 (right click on the chain counter control, then select i/o name of filtering and check channels internal to add these options to the drop down).

  Thus, with the tips above, you should be able to immediately re - arming your analog acquisition on the 9215 using one background basket counters.  It seems that the second half of the application is to use a second channel on the 9402 to reset the trigger of your DUT.  You can deterministically generate this signal so by configuring a 2nd redeclenchables meter out task (single pulse, but this time).  All you need to do is the initial delay on the appropriate value for your analog acquisition.  Trigger this counter on the same PFI line that trigger you your analog task from.

  Using counters to generate the signals you need in a deterministic way, the loop becomes is no longer a problem (as long as your input buffer does not overflow).  You may need to re-read several triggers at the same time for the loop to keep (for example to read 1000 samples each, which would correspond to 100 triggers 10 samples).

• Problem of discovery of the cDAQ-9191 in MAX

  I have a new cDAQ-9191 with 9208 module that I have connected to my PC with an Ethernet cable.  I use DAQmx 15.1.1 in Windows 7 Pro SP1 64 bit and MAX 15.0.0f0.  The cDAQ-9191 appears under devices and Interfaces > network devices.  There is no IP address and its status is "disconnected".  There is no found network card.  There is no Firmware button, and add device only returns an error message.  See the two photos attached for details of 9191 properties.  I have tried to reset MAX configuration, restart the 9191, exchanging several cables, restart the PC, turn off all the other networks of PC, turning the firewall, but without success.  I searched the forum, but no one else has reported a solution to a similar problem.  The port LAN PC has a static address, and I've used the port to connect to other devices.  As this is obviously not a normal state for this 9191 I'm totally stuck with no idea how to proceed.  Is it a hardware failure?

  In addition, on my main PC (MAX 15.0.0f0, DAQmx 15.1.1, 15.0 IMAQdx, win 10 Pro 64-bit), MAX cannot find network devices.  I tried with an Axis Network camera and the 9191, which both appear on the other PC.  I can't find a solution to either but it's a real pain that MAX is not working properly when necessary.

  If your LAN port has a static IP address, it must run a DHCP server, which can affect the 9191 an address on the same subnet.  If no DHCP server is found, the 9191 a local IP address of the default link.  Very likely, you met the latter, and the static IP address that you have assigned to your LAN port does not link local beach.  This means that your computer and your cDAQ are on different subnets, so MAX can communicate with the 9191.

  You can change the IP address of your LAN port to one in the local area connection (169.254.x.x, subnet mask 255.255.0.0), or you can configure your LAN port to automatically obtain an IP address.

  Once you access the 9191 in MAX, you can adjust the parameters IP back at your convenience, as long as the chassis and the computer you end up on the same subnet.

• Difference between the cDAQ-9174 and cDAQ-9178

  I have several cRIO-9081.  Each cRIO-9081 running NOR-DAQmx 15.5.  On four of the cRIO-9018 we show you cDAQ - 9178 with 8 modules.  Everything just worked.  On the fifth cRIO-9018, we tried to connect a cDAQ-9174.  The aircraft appeared in the Windows Device Manager and MAX, but MAX has indicated that the aircraft was missing (error-88705) and that Windows can't find a driver for the instrument.

  We then plugged a cDAQ-9178 in the fifth cRIO and everything just worked.

  What is the difference between a cDAQ-9174 and cDAQ-9178 other than the number of the module support?

  It seems it could be a driver problem! What DAQmx version you have installed on two computers? Reinstall the latest version may be worth it because it looks like there may be corruption. You can find the latest version here: http://www.ni.com/download/ni-daqmx-15.5/5901/en/

  Also, sometimes, this can happen if you do not restart your computer after the installation of the NOR-DAQmx driver. Restart your computer after the driver installation will allow you to reserve the device successfully. Here are a few others not to try:

• Problems with NI-VISA 5.0.3 detect a 9474 cDAQ chassis and modules via USB

  Hello friends.

  I'm running Windows 7 x 64, I installed MAX 4.7.4, NI-VISA 5.0.3 and the other software that comes with them.

  I have a 9174 cDAQ chassis and 3 modules.

  My problem: when I connect the hardware to my PC via the USB port, it presents itself to the MAX, but NI-VISA does not detect sub "USB" (or elsewhere).

  Purpose: What I'm trying to do is communicate with the NI 9223 module, using VISA through MATLAB commands.  The MATLAB data acquisition Toolbox supports not the NI 9223, so I would try to acquire help from VISA.  However, I don't find the VISA of the device address.

  I would like to know your opinion on why modules are not displayed in NI-VISA and if my ultimate quest is valid without doing something nasty like writing C++.  I have not found a good source for VISA OR orders either, but I'm sure it exists.

  Unfortunately, you can't talk about a module using VISA or cDAQ chassis. Your options are DAQmx and low level of coding (something nasty like C++). If you do not get DAQmx, you can find excellent examples by accessing:

  I am trying to increase my sampling rate on my nor 9212, that I use with a cdaq 9174 and LV 2015. Apparently, the sampling frequency depends on the time of conversion and can be changed between the high speed, the Best 60 Hz rejection, best 50 Hz rejection, and high resolution. (see http://www.ni.com/pdf/manuals/374358a_02.pdf, page 6). My maximum sampling frequency is 1.8 Hz, which indicates the use of the mode of synchronization of high resolution

• My NOR cDAQ-9191 is over the display of the module installed in MAX.

  I just bought a 9191 cDAQ chassis with the NI 9219 AI module.  MAX initially showed the long-9191 9219 under network devices.  However, after several hours of messing around with the wireless settings and by pressing the reset button several times, MAX no longer displays the 9219.  Nothing dramatic happened to the hardware (that is, it was not dropped or mishandling), so I suspect a problem of self-inflicted free software.  The technician OR I have recommended 'Reset Configuration data' Max, I did, but that didn't fix it.  Has anyone else had this kind of problem?  Any suggestions?

  problem solved... several network services OR were stopped.  The module will appear once I restarted the service.

  I use Ni9215 with ENET-9163 to measure the phase between two sinusoidal incremental signals delay. First signal connected to AI0 and, secondly, to AI4 at 100 k sample rate. I know 9215 simultaneous ADC, but it seems to me that NI 9215 gives additional time between the channels. Is it possible, or l mistaken?

  I'm doing a simple entry that and power: I generate the signal using a Tektronix (30 Hz, 2 V p - p) signal generator and consider it as an analog input of 9215 using DAQ Assistant-1. Multiply by 2, and then send it as an output analog by 9263 using DAQ Assistant-2. Later, I see this singal on an oscilloscpoe. Here are the settings for the acquisition of data Assistants:

  Why are they bad?

  By test error, I found that by the acquisition of data Wizard-1 mode to "N samples", I was no longer getting this error. • My Favorites are gone and I can't make new bookmarks. I tried to restore their by clicking on the backups and downloading Backup and neither will not work.

  This is as far as I know. I followed the instructions to restore and nothing works.

• TAB GROUPS die after closing the window, restoration of session does not apply and neither is history! I do not think that I have been warned!

  On leaving firefox, update, then restart, I lost the ability to restore sessions. I restored the Group of tabs in the past; It's different. My tab groups are lost forever and I don't remember even be warned about losing when the window is closed (as often happens and then I avoid close it.)

  Safe mode disables extensions in Firefox 4 and later versions, and disables hardware acceleration.

  • Tools > Options > advanced > General > Browsing: "use hardware acceleration when available.

  If disable hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

  Beta version 5.0 is not really get updates of security by saying as with point versions minor for 3.6. * for example. The 5.0 Beta recent 5 (which will be soon in Beta 6, may even be a b7) could be even more up-to-date then 3.6.17 and 4.0.1 even in a sense.   Perhaps, it would be useful to know what that is exactly the one you need. Are get you an external speaker output or anything like that. Also, it would be useful to know the operating system you are using.
