Change library iCloud account

For historical reasons (ex mobile me user) I used to use 2 apple ID:

  1. @gmail I use to buy music, applications etc.
  2. @me I use iCloud, mail, synchronize photos, synchronize the notes, etc.

Last month I started my trial BLAH music Apple by subscribing to myself using the @gmail account, that the iCloud as music library is saved in this apple ID. I want to do the opposite, because the @me has 50 GB plan tariff.

Is it possible to do? How can I change the account?

THX,

Andrea

Apple has the recent tendency to use a single word for different things.  It has been "app" meant something to a mobile device and 'application' was for a computer. Now, it's just for the two, but there are significant differences. It goes the same for iCloud. There are several different online services, apple offers, but he calls all iCloud.  Your Apple's music service is not connected to your iCloud of 50 GB of disk storage, except to the extent where the user of your account on your computer uses an Apple ID to identify themselves.  It is not really expected you use several AppleIDs and when you're doing things start to get messy.  I don't think you can change the subscription music from Apple to a different AppleID as you can't transfer purchases from one to another.  I'm not too sure that you really need.  Outside the limit of the number of games played (they did that of 100 k?) and other restrictions on type and size I don't think that there is a music to iCloud storage limit.

Have you and your husbands contacts mixed up at some point in all of this? If Yes, what you could do to iCloud.com login to your Mac with the original account and go to settings. In the lower left corner, click the option restore contacts. You can restore the State of the iCloud contacts on this account to the archived dates, as you see in this area. When you do this, it creates a backup of the contacts in their current state, if you find that you need to return the contacts to be what he had here before you went here. If you restore the contacts on a date that seems to recover your contacts as well, (you want to be logged on your iPhone with this account then what is happening and contacts switched on the account) then after the contacts seem to have stopped catering to go forward and turn in iCloud on your iPhone contacts and choose to keep on the iPhone when the ability to delete them from your iPhone. After having done that, open a session on this account, sign in with your account and merge contacts when you are prompted to. That will push your contacts in your own iCloud.

Don't forget to go to the backup on iCloud.com after all this is done and go to settings to restore the Contacts in their archives when they were just appearing as contacts of husbands.

  • Change the iCloud account

I have an iPad with iOS 3 9, my problem is that iPad have the former owner iCloud account and can't get in touch with him and I don't know the password to remove his account, of course, I want to use my icloud account.

Well, unfortunately, you can not. The phone you bought is locked with a lock Activation and only the person who put the lock on or someone who knows that people Apple ID and password can remove it. Return it for a refund if you can. You will never be able to sign with your iCloud ID, and if you ever restore the device, you won't be able to use it.

  • iCloud Photo Library Download stuck after changing icloud account

This is FYI if someone of another encounter the same problem, I've had.

My daughter Mac and iphone used a common icloud account that has been set up for the family some time ago.   She had a lot of photos stored in icloud, through Photos.  We decided to create account it with his own icloud and itunes recently.

The first question icloud was in its disconnection from the old account.  The message that you will lose pictures and videos that are not fully downloaded to the Mac we fear for a few days because there is no easy way that we could find to determine in advance what photos and videos were not fully downloaded.  So, we tried for these days download all photos and videos but did not seem to make any progress.  After a few days, we have bet that we could continue with disconnection and risk losing the photos and videos they would be still in icloud under the old account.  Then we saw on the screen depending on who told us that we will lose only 3 photos and 1 video - too bad that the screen has not come earlier.  So we disconnected.

The second question icloud came after connected to the new icloud account and tried to get his Mac photos to sync up to pictures of icloud.  We spent 2 or 3 days waiting for them to update and 2 separate calls with Apple support but no resolution.  There were two additional things, I noticed: 1) the iCloud library update bar (under preferences/Photos/account) remained empty (i.e., no green progress bar) for 2 or 3 days indicating no progress has been made and 2) next to the heading 'ICloud photo library' was the message in red that I had 29 (then 28 then 27) days to download my photos to icloud prior to their removal.  It made me suspicious that it was a reference to the photos under the old account and I was connected to the new account.  So, today, I bet and disconnected the new icloud account and once again had the same 3 photos and 1 video message would be deleted, that I accepted.  Then I signed in to the new account icloud, got informed that I had too little space on the new account to all the pictures and videos to download, I opted for more space (paying), end connection, then pictures/properties/account and viola, iCloud library update bar now give me 1) a number of pictures to download and green 2) in the progress bar.

    So, to summarize:

    1. If you're worried about losing your photos (or other files) If you disconnect your icloud account, note 1) you should be able to recover if you reconnect to the account and 2) that there is a window that will tell you how much you will lose (even if have never heard you those who), and
    2. If the synchronization ends up with no apparent progress made (especially no count of how many must be synchronized or no visible 'green' progress) then a possible solution is to disconnect, and then reconnect to your icloud account.

  • Cannot change the iCloud on iPhone because of old deleted email accounts

    Hello.

The problem is that I made my account iCloud with an old email, which has now been deleted. I have an iCloud account (where I am writing), but I can't log out from my iPhone, because I don't remember the password. The password cannot be retrieved because of the old account of electronic mail ([email protected]) being deleted.

Is it possible to show an employee of Apple, a photo of my identity papers to prove that I am indeed the owner of the old account and get powered email accounts?

I hope I have made myself clear and that there is someone who can provide assistance.

If you have simply changed the e-mail address for your user name (rather than create a new Apple account), you can use your Apple ID/iCloud password to sign the old ID in iCloud.

    See you soon,.

  • How can I change the name that is displayed for my iCloud account?

When I connect to my iCloud account or view it in settings on my iPad, my husband name, rather than mine, is displayed next to my e-mail address.  I checked my address book to make sure that my iCloud email address is not listed under his name.  Probably we sometimes a place I use his name in conjunction with my e-mail, because there is no to all computers.  I connected thinking iCloud I would find a way to change the display name on my account and could not thin anything.  Is there a way?  It has not always done.  I noticed only recently.

You should be able to change the name on your ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com/Apple. Sign in to your ID in the first section (account), click on the "Edit" button, and the name on the account should be included among the information that you can change.

  • Someone stole my phone and when I came back, their iCloud account was on him and the password has been changed. What can I do?

My phone was stolen recently while I was at Walmart. Sprint located the phone 4 hours later (after saying earlier that they could not do it at all) and sent a message to inform him that had the phone that he had been located. The phone was found at Walmart soon after. When I got the phone back, I noticed that the phone has been restored to the factory settings and the password has been changed. I restored the phone myself using iTunes, but now I'm stuck on the activation screen because they put their iCloud account in my phone (I never put one up myself, not knowing that this would cause this kind of problems) and I do not know the password. I've lost all the photos of my son (he was two weeks previously and I had not copied to my computer yet) and voice messages, I have saved my father who died last year. And now I have a rental phone that costs me $60 / month, that I can't use. Sprint said there is nothing they can do. I called Apple and received no help from their part is there something I can do?

It requires the Apple ID and password of the thief. If you don't have it and can't get it, then the device is useless to you.

  • Someone logged into my icloud account also I changed my password else to do I do?

Someone logged into my icloud account also I changed my password else to do I do? What other steps should I take? Should cancel my credit card?

You probably don't need to cancel the cards, but you should keep a very close eye on them for unauthorized purchases that must be reported immediately to the issuing company. However if you have reason to believe that the person really knows the details of your card then you should discuss the cancellation of the card with their transmitters.

Change the password to a strong should keep the offender out, but you should consider the creation of a two-step verification. With this, anyone (including you) your account needs both the password and a code sent by SMS to your mobile phone. This puts an end dead to anyone else is even if they guess the password.

  • How to prevent file sharing automatic connection with the commune iCloud account?

I have access to my Mac remotely and always assumed that if I did not check the box pw to remember when asking username/pw I would always need to enter pw to access a remote volume.  This, of course, is the case usually except that I noticed that I have three computers (home, office, mobile) with the same user name and I can connect to the remote volume by simply entering the IP address of the target computer. I receive no request for pw.  This occurs despite the Macs with different user pw. I went to keychain in public services and did ' t see the pw of file sharing, so I guess they are in iCloud keychain.  All 3 Macs have the same username and the same iCloud account, and I have iCloud Keychain selected on all 3 Macs.  Potential problems would be if someone stole my cell phone when I signed to or if someone at work was playing with my computer after hours - they can then access my home computer (or vice versa). If it is stored in iCloud Keychain, so I don't see an obvious way to change.  So I disabled the option of trousseau in iCloud in system preferences on my laptop, not saved in keychain to my Mac and restarted; When I tried to access my home Mac, it helped to connect without my pw but I have noticed that at the top of the window, text says 'connected as [email protected]'- real username omitted here.  Is anyway to avoid this short of having each Mac journal on an account different iCloud (then would lose Sync calendars etc.). Thank you

What tool do you use to access other Macs?

  • Impossible to be re - connect my iMac to my iCloud account

Hello. My iMac has been connected to my iCloud account, but apparently there is a bug somewhere I so disconnected icloud and agreed that all data belonging to my iCloud data (e-mail, calendar, contacts, etc.) could be wiped clean from the iMac. After the reboot of the iMac, I checked Mail forgot the associated e-mail account, he had, I checked that FileVault was still 'OFF' on this iMac, it was. I tried to re - login to my iCloud account. Preferences > iCloud. I have indicated my account iCloud and password, authentication double (which I activated there) sent a request for consent to my iPhone and iPad, I approved the connection of the iMac. Then I got on the iPhone and the iPad a 6 digit iMac asked me to enter code. I entered the 6-digit code, then the iMac again asked my password to iCloud. I entered my password iCloud on the iMac. Then, and this is where I do not understand. A splash screen for iCloud opened on the iMac "your iCloud, data are protected by your iCloud security code. To access your iCloud data, enter your iCloud security code", followed by a request to enter a four-digit code.

I have no this 4 digit code. FireVault is always "off" on this iMac, I checked. As far as I know, I have four numbers on the iPhone and iPad security codes and here only, not on the iMac, where I use a [plu] password to access my account. It is an iMac Mac OS 10.11.6, not an iPad or an iPhone.

I send you this question through Safari on my MacBook Pro (OS10.11.6) which is my first mac, that is still connected to my iCloud account and there's no bug.

What should I enter? What should I do? TIA

First of all, please make sure that you do not confuse the password to unlock your iPhone and the security code that you use to iCloud Keychain. It is the latter that controls your synchronization of e-mail account on all your Apple devices. To change your security code on an iOS device, tap Settings > iCloud > Keyring > advanced > change security code. The following Apple's Support document may explain what is happening with your iMac: If you register your iCloud Security Code wrong too many times - Apple Support.

FileVault and his password is something unrelated, because this material is so the password allows you to connect an and use the user account of your iMac.

I know that the proliferation of codes and passwords is a subject of confusion. Until a better method comes, it may seem that its only purpose is to conspire against you and prevents you from using your Apple devices. If you don't get anywhere, start here: http://appleid.apple.com. Sign in with your Apple ID credentials, check under Security and featuresinformation and verify that all information is correct.

If everything on these pages seems correct, I suggest that you continue with this site: Apple ID - official Apple Support. Scroll to the bottom of the page, where you will find a button called "get Support" under the heading "help me with Apple ID". Until it clicks. That will load a page with the title "what is happening with your Apple ID".

The most applicable to your concern is "Other Apple ID Topics" that will lead to more options. One of them will allow to contact Apple directly. Let them make things right. Be patient with them, since your ID Apple is literally the key to security of your account and they will have to establish positively that your identity before attaching everything is false.
