• Crackling Audio Sigmatel and Broadcom Wireless

  I have a Dell Inspiron e1505 laptop with 2 gig ram and 1.6 GB Intel T2050 processor and a new installation of Vista. I find during playback of music played or from the hard drive is there an intermittent Crackle in the audio when my wireless is enabled.

  I have the latest ATI driver for the video, Broadcom wireless driver and driver Sigmatel HD Auio from Dell. I tried to uninstall everything audio and then having Windows find a compatible driver. The audio is always crackling in Vista. I reinstalled everything again with the same result.
   
  I bought a Creative X - FI USB sound card but this cracked too well on the USB bus.

  So I am at a loss to explain this, since the same material worked flawlessly under WinXP Sp3.

  I found a solution to my problem which cost me thirty dollars. I bought a program called DriverCure Pareto Logic which is a DELL Wireless n pilot recently that fixed audio crackling for good. If anyone has this problem so this is a way to solve the problem of cracking.

  Exactly the same thing happened to me. I upgraded my computer dell laptop of Vista (32) Windows 7 (32) on 24 December.  My codec high definition audio sigmatel could not be found since then.  This morning, I got fed up and found the free codec download sigmatel high definition audio...  Downloaded and my sound is working again...  We think just too hard I guess.  Hope it will be useful to you.  Good luck.

  Hello. Sorry for the delay in responding.

  If it doesn't work under Linux then it is not a hardware failure. You can try to install a driver audio Sigmatel (Vista version).

  Download the driver and extract the files (unzip or decompress and take note of the name of the folder created) but cancel the installation process. Go to the folder on the hard disk to which you have unpacked the driver files
  c:\Dell\Drivers\Rxxxxxx

  Find the setup.exe file and right-click on it. Select Properties. Find the Compatibility tab and select Vista.

  Note that there are some audio software Creative Labs available on Inspiron 6400 support page. If you never tried and cannot install this software before you install a driver Sigmatel audio no longer works in Windows because of the failure of a service. (Correct me if I'm wrong) So I clicked on the volume icon to see if it would correct the problem and he sent me to the site to download the "updated".  I went to the Dell website and I downloaded the audio driver for my laptop but I have all the drivers apparently. I've checked everything and he says that he has no drivers last updated for my laptop model. I tried to uninstall Windows 7, but I think you must have the disk. And I tried to install Windows XP once more, but once more I need the disk. But I don't have it. AND what makes things is worse I'm a stranger so I do not have access.
