  Please forgive me, because I know little about computers. I am wanting to buy my first chromebook as I am tired of the problems with my laptop Windows 7 Basic. Tried to upgrade to Windows 10 and it fried my system.   I moved your post because it is different from the issue discussed in the other thread. I hope that gives you more visibility.

  First of all, I would like to address the issue of recovery media that you had with Sony, not that I want you to return back, but because that they affect both the Acer and I would rather you have the best information information vs which is best for us to give you. Windows based PC does not come with recovery media. Acer systems have a recovery partition that allows to restore Windows directly from the hard drive. You can perform backups at any time (as long as the system works).

  Passage to Chromebooks, the Google Chrome team has done a fantastic job in making sure the ChromeOS is accessible from many different paths. I'll link you a their below, but it is so quick and simple the ChromeOS is very light and I hear by is that there is not much to it. All the customization and improvements are linked to your Google account. It takes minutes to reinstall the ChromeOS if you encounter a problem where it can take nearly an hour to reinstall Windows.

  Insofar as a recommendation, we have several in our shop. If I had to buy a new Chromebook today, no doubt (in addition to my obvious bias to Acer ) would be the CB3-431. It is 14 "vs the 15" you, but it as a better screen (1080 vs 768) with more storage space and storage.   Background, my wife click on everything and in the past I have depended on by performing the steps to RESET the computer, settings, advanced, Reset, reset the settings.  It has always worked.  However, this time she got into something unexpected, the popup of malware is immediate and covers the home screen, I can't go to the home screen. The popup covers it and shades out and are not accessible.  There is an X on the screen of malware, but it returns immediately. The screen has a phone number to call and a voice message indicating that he has been infected and to call the number.   According to the document on your Support page, you can run a Powerwash by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Shift + R keys at the login screen. Directions at the bottom of the page:

  Hi, I have about 20 emails that I have sent from my account on my desk to my Chromebook.  However, instead of waiting for each other to convey, I forwarded these all at the same time which, of course, I had 20 files .eml should be 'extracted' (for lack of a better job) and there is nothing for me to read, which means I have to go back to my office and send each one email at a time so I can read them.

  Is there an app or extension available that I missed or maybe in the making that will handle this problem?  When they are out there, I would like to know could not find the name of it, so I can find it - look under the forwarded e-mail messages or .eml extensions or apps.

  If not, would you consider either a creation so that when we have these issues, we should not monkey with 1 email at a time.  I have this happen a lot and I can't leave my email on the server to do it when I get on my Chromebook, because I can not connect to the server with my email on this subject with my Chromebook - it specific hardware.

  Hi @Dojers. I understand that you want to display on your Chromebook *.eml files. I don't know of a specific tool that you can use to do this on a Chromebook, but this site allows you to view them. I don't know if it will work on ChromeOS: Welcome to from Encryptomatic free Email Viewer online. I've never used, so I don't know if it's safe, or even that it will work for you.
  
  In addition, you will probably find a site online that lets you display the *.eml files. I think that there is webmail sites that can do as well. You will need to research further if that link above does not help.

In August 2014, it had to be returned to HP to have the feminine side of the power supply replaced. 02/22/15 the same part has not yet. • HP Deskjet 3056A: can I scan documents using the Deskjet 3056 A with an Acer Chromebook?

  I want to document scanning with a Deskjet 3056 A to an Acer Chromebook.  The printer is set up wireless, and documents printed successfully.  E - print works well also.

  The question is the digitization.   Reads the error message on the printer, "computer not found.  Make sure that the HP software has been installed on the computer. "Since a Chromebook does not download and app lies... that means I won't be able to scan?   Please help!  Thank you.

• Chromebook: Sent someone at - it a laptop for repair because the keys were not working?

  Several keys on my keyboard do not work.  As suggested on this forum, I have powerwashed the Chromebook twice with no change in the problem.  I contacted HP and I received the box to return it for repair under warranty.  My question is this: does anyone know if I should including the adapter?  The person of tech for the repair, I talked said I shouldn't include it but said that the documents sent by the repair center to register.  I called back several times to try to get what I thought, it was a simple answer or not available.  I want not to return the adapter so I won't get it but I don't want to prevent the repair center to be able to fix the keyboard.  Thank you!

  The only time that you must include the AC adapter is when it is supposed to be a problem with this component.

  HP has all the cards for all computers, laptops, tablets and desktop computers.

  Not immediately.

  From this moment, the only other operating system that can be installed on the Acer C710 is ChrUbuntu, a modified version of Ubuntu. This makes the usable Chromebook and does not rely on the cloud for all services.
  In my view, that an installation of Windows will soon be possible, as I and many others have tried to unlock the material of this great little machine. This would require a BIOS flash, which is not going to be possible at this time on this Chromebook, but is possible on others such as the CR-48.

• C740 Chromebook 11 display distortion

  I'm having a problem with this particular model and replacement screens. I was able to check the number on about 40 machines Acer C740. As part of a school program, students were issued this model Chromebook and often break views. I ordered several different 'compatible' replacement screens. I found the screen that was shipped with this machine originally (Rev.C1 N116BGE-ai2) works without a problem. However, none of the "compatible" screens do not work. I tried N116BGE-ai2 Rev.C2 and C3, N116BGE-E32 Rev.C1 what work. Unfortunately, I'm unable to locate the screen accurate moose more and I can only find compatible replacements.

  As a test, I noticed if I pull the m2 reader and try to start it, I do not get any video distortion. I installed a blank disc of m2, and restore point (fromUSB) video distortion ChromeOS appears (does not appear before the step of checking the installation of the OS). This leads me to think the problem is actually in the software, not hardware, as the question shows that when boot one ChromeOS installed for this model. Everyone knows about this problem, and is at - he recommended a fix? The only solution I have found so far is to source model displays N116BGE-ai2 Rev.C1 (but I can't not find this model).

  I am used to full size keyboards like the ind on laptops 15.6 in., so a big question for me because I'm considering buying a chromebook is or not the keyboard will be comfortable enough for me if I plan on writing tests, emailing, and programming.

  I compared the Chromebook 13 keyboard against several of our portable 15.6-inch and find the very similar size. The main difference seems to be the lack of a keyboard on the chromebook 10. The key size and spacing on the Chromebook 13 makes it easy and comfortable to type on. Chromebook keyboard feels cramped like some users describe on netbooks.
