citing a file Explorer, or something close to that!

Hi all

In my quest to remotely control a blackberry device, I don't want to download a file from the device as well. This involces the following steps.

(1) the remote application sends an I - want - to - make - a - file - to - your - order for blackberry

(2) blackberry should then open a queue explore this sort of thing (as when you click on "save under" on a pc)

(3) the user can then remotely or in the contrary case, navigate to the file you want then press ok (or some other accpet) and the download would be launched.

The remote control and download of parts are not the problem at the moment. My main problem is:

(a) how you call a file browser in blackberry?

(b) is there any application on the Blackberry, which is similar to a file Explorer

(c) if so, it will end when you press on enter (or someother action key).

(d) returns to the exit, the complete nom_chemin of the file that has been highlighted at the time of the key 'enter' or accept button has been clicked?

Any help is always appreciated!

Thanks in advance.

Dan

Hello

As far as I know, it is not possible to open the file Explorer.  There is a built-in to OS 5.0 file selector.

If you do not use OS 5.0 this link can help you:

I am running XP SP3 and I'm trying to recover from multiple virus & malware removed by AVG Free, MBAM, SAS & Spybot. I also used Advanced System Care and AVG PC TuneUp and both of them seem to help.

I have read other discussions here and tried to run the System File Checker - all that happens is a black window opens for a millisecond and closed.

I have a lot of questions, but these are my point I suppose to jump.  Thanks in advance :)

Your system is currently or has been infected by malware.

I suggest read you this procedure and do the 2 scans of malware down first, then start at the beginning.

I read you already ran MBAM and SAS, but make sure that you have run the MBAM and SAS with updated definitions.

The System File Checker will not help you.  If you want the run later for smile and a good feeling, we can work on that later.

It is easy to get rid of the error message by doing something like disable the startup item in msconfig (if you can still find), but I suggest you fix the problem and difficulty not only the symptom of the problem simply remove the startup message.
I would recommend also you start to search in the register, unless you have a backup because there is no 'Cancel' or 'quit without saving changes' option in regedit.  If you make a mistake, that's all.
These ideas relieve 'rapid' and sometimes risky of the symptom, but may not actually solve the problem.  Also, I'd be suspicious of ideas that begin with the words "try."  You don't need to try things, you need to fix things.
Here are the detailed instructions that protect you and solve your problem in the 'right' way.
There is very little. DLL files that should be loaded from the C:\WINDOWS folder and is not one of them.
Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira
!, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, MSE, Comodo, etc..
A "Cannot find...". ', ' Failed to start..., "Could not load..." ». "Might not work... "" Cannot run ""error loading... ". "or"specific module could not be found"message at startup is usually related to the malware that has been configured to run at startup, but the referenced file has been removed after a malware scan, leaving behind him a startup item or the registry entry pointing to a file that does not exist.
It might be a removal of malicious software or an application not installed.  The entry may have a curious looking name since it was probably generated at random when the malware was installed. If you search your system for the referenced file, you may not find.
Windows attempts to load this file but cannot locate because the file has been deleted for most probably during an analysis of the malware. However, an orphaned associate of remainders of startup parameter or registry entry and tells Windows to load the file when you start or connection.
So you should delete the referenced entry Windows stop trying to load or run the file. It may or may not be included in the registry, but you can find it.  Autoruns (see below) you get the elements no matter where it is.
If you just locate and uncheck the item in msconfig, which disables the element but does not remove the reference to the element of false starting your computer.   The msconfig program is not a Startup Manager, that's a troubleshooting tool.  Disabling things in msconfig to put an end to the messages and think that your problem is solved is short-sighted and leave behind him a sloppy XP configuration.  Just disable the display of a start-up error message should not count as a 'solution' to the problem.
If you are comfortable editing the registry, you can find and remove the reference directly from there or remove it using a popular third-party tool called Autoruns.  The problem can always be found in the registry well.
Before making any changes to your registry by hand or with third-party tools, don't forget to first make a backup of the registry. There is no cancellation or exit without saving the option in regedit.
Here is a link to a popular registry backup tool:
You can use Autoruns to find the element of start remains little matter where he's hiding.  Autoruns does not install anything on your computer.  It will display all startup locations where the reference may be then you can turn it off or remove it completely.  Here is the download link for Autoruns:
Run Autoruns.exe and wait that he at the end of the filling of the list of entries.
When the Autoruns is finished scanning your system, it will say "Ready" in the lower left corner.  Autoruns can be a little intimidating to first if you have never seen it before because it displays a lot of information.  You are really interested only a few sections.
The problem is usually to start the system or the user startup entries, then click the connection tab and see if the startup item is there.
Scroll through the list and look for a boot entry associated files in the error message.
If you can't find on the connection tab, look in any tab.
Right-click on the offending entry and choose Remove.  If you are not sure what it is, you can simply disable, restart and if the problem is resolved and then remove the offending entry
.  If you don't see it in Autoruns, you may edit the registry and remove the item from your startup folder it.  Autoruns shall display the same information however.
Given that you had or have an infection, followed with this:
Perform scans for malware, and then fix any problems:
Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
They can be uninstalled later if you wish.
Restart your computer and solve the outstanding issues.

Do not guess what the problem might be - understand and resolve it. I need YOUR voice and the points for helpful answers and propose responses. I'm saving for a pony!

  • Envy 17-j020us, cannot cut/copy and paste in the file Explorer

I can cut/copy and paste the url and the text to speech, etc, but I am unable to cut/copy and paste files in Windows File Explorer. I tried malwarebytes and virus programs running. HP support has tried to access remotely to identify the problem without success. Y at - it another option in addition to a factory reset or restore point? Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi jdavis33811,

Have you tried the three methods of cutting and pasting? Using the keyboard shortcuts CTRL-X CTRL-V, right click on the file and selecting cut, then using the tape from the file Explorer / File menu.

If you have tried all three, the next thing to try is a boot minimum to see if something is in the background to block the order. A clean boot loads Windows with the drivers and the minimal software. This link of Support technique Microsoft will show you how do it.

Once you have made the clean boot try three methods of cutting and pasting. If it works the next step is to go back to msconfig (see Microsoft link above) and enable half the services you shut-off valve to the clean boot. Then try to cut and paste again. Keep half of the remaining services that allows until you cannot cut and paste, then disable half of the services that you just active. This, until what specify you what service has problem.

If after all that you still have a problem then the next step would be to backup your files on an external hard drive or a USB flash drive and then doing a complete System Recovery.

  • FILE EXPLORER Windows 10 does not work

I upgraded from windows 7 Home Windows 10. Everything worked for three months. Now my file manager does not work. If I double click on a shortcut, nothing happens. No message or errors, no feedback at all. If I select file from the menu 10 windows Explorer it lists recent locations, but if I click on anything that it is once more the window closes and no feedback of any kind. To access my files, I have to go well as the search for application files. Is no more, I can add folders or improve my organization of files. Of course he used to work so I guess it has become corrupt. What do we do to fix this problem, I see, it is a common problem in looking at the forums for microsoft, but no one said a suggested fix worked.

    Hello

Here what's new on the win10 File Explorer:http://windows.microsoft.com/en-in/windows-10/getstarted-whats-changed-in-file-explorer

    And here is the solution:

The service is called Windows search and disabled once it provided functionality in the file Explorer. The search function in the file Explorer works but isn't looking in the taskbar.

    Step by step guide:
    1. hold Win + r to open the run
    2. type msconfig and click ok or enter
    3. click on Services
    4. go to Windows search (you can sort the list in descending alphabetical order)
    5. clear the check box
    6. click apply then ok
    7. Select restart now

I hope it works for you.

  • Access files from the file Explorer ftp

    Hello

I'm writing an application in LabVIEW where I have to access the files on the ftp server. I added the ftp under 'Computer' folder using add network location. The ftp folder is now displayed on the computer and I can access it as a local folder in windows Explorer.

However, if I try to select a file in the LabVIEW ftp folder, it won't let me do. In control of path, I can navigate to the location of the file in the ftp folder, but when I hit OK after selecting the file, the dialog box closes.

Is it possible to access the file in the folder ftp LabVIEW?

    Thank you

    Ritesh

I'm reasonably sure that Windows has built the "wrappers" appropriate around the FTP protocol to allow a "drag-and-drop' and network 'folder '.  If you want to do an FTP transfer, there is a series of FTP functions (look in Communications data under protocols, FTP).  You will need to do part of the substance low level yourself (Windows"does it for you", but LabVIEW "" allows you to do it by yourself).

  • File Explorer

I noticed that when I open a file, the file Explorer window remains open.

Is there a setting that can close this window after you have launched a file?  I have always go back and close the window. I want that it closes when I open the file. He added the time close it every time.

    Hello

The option automatically close a file Explorer after clicking on a file is currently not available in Windows 7 or other versions of Windows.

We suggest you to submit feedback on this. You can do this by typing Windows feedback in Cortana, windows search box on the taskbar, and sign in with your Microsoft account.

For more information, feel free to post back.

    Kind regards.

  • FavIcons not showing correctly in the file Explorer, but display correctly in Internet Explorer.

Please note: this is the opposite of what people usually describe their problem in.

    I have Windows 7 Pro 64 bit.

My favicon display correctly in the Explorer of files (file mode) but display correctly in Internet Explorer. This intrigues me. When I open the Internet Explorer, icons for Favorites OK show to the left of the name of the shortcut file in the Favorites bar and the Favorites bar. However, when I open Windows File Explorer and check out my favorites and folders, the FavIcons are the generic icons globe, not specific icons to websites that shortcuts point to. The links work well. It's just that the FavIcons are generic globes. (Not all, but many). I want the correct FavIcons to show in the view of Windows File Explorer.

I tried to revisit web sites and dragging the URL (and favicon) of the bar of address of IE in the "Favorites" folder again. Who has not solved the problem. I tried to go to the page of the site and to type the favicon.ico extension and save it, but windows won't let me save it. (Where can they be saved? And how would be attributed to the shortcut in the file Explorer file? Or is it not the way to solve the problem?)

Is there a way to fix this without having to download an app/program? Is there a way to solve this problem without changing the registry? Or is the simple registry change?

I want the correct Favicons to display in the file Explorer, and Internet Explorer.

Please answer in plain English, not in words irritable. If you propose a procedure, please explain where everything is (how to find things click on what you recommend.)

Thanks in advance for the help.

IT IS THE ANSWER. A MODERATOR WOULD MARK IT AS THE ANSWER, OR REPLY TO IT, SO I CAN MARK THE ANSWER. IT SEEMS ABSURD THAT WE ARE UNABLE TO POST AN ANSWER TO OUR QUESTION AND POWER OF THE BRAND AS THE ANSWER. Thank you.

I searched and found the answer. Also, I realized I had encountered this problem about two years ago and had saved the info of the solution in a Notepad file. On the site, the answer given by Chris H is the solution. It is to delete the icon cache of .db database and allowing windows to create a new. My problem was that the favicons for several favorite shortcuts of IE showed the purple globe (ugly) credits. After that I deleted the icon cache database file, a new file has been created and my favicons are correct for each shortcut.

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows/Forum/Windows_7-desktop/some-desktop-icons-appear-as-broken-icons/05abcead-adb1-43ba-9BB7-e308d0cc83a4

(Both methods are given in the he.) I list the instructions for the first method, which worked for me. You can click on this page for more information).

There are a few things you can try:

    First: (icon Cache regeneration)

    1. open Folder Options to select (round) display the hidden files and folders.
    2. open a Windows Explorer window.
    3. go to C:\Users\(User Name) \AppData\Local
    4. right click on IconCache.db and click on delete.
    5. click on Yes to confirm the deletion.
NOTE: This deletes the file to the trash. It is safe to empty the trash when you are done.
    6. close the window.
    7 empty the trash.
    8 restart the computer.
    9. When you return, you'll notice the size of the file IconCache.db is reduced, and the update is now the current date.
NOTE: If for some reason any IconCache.db isn't there or the size has not changed much, then just restart the computer again. You may need to restart a few times in some cases.
    10. the icon cache has been rebuilt.
    11. Open Folder Options to select (round) do not show the hidden files and folders.

  • Windows Explorer 7 always close,

Windows Explorer 7 always close, dozens of automatic reports sent to Microsoft, no answers don't need help to fix it please

    Hi Ken,

Thank you very much to keep us updated on this issue.

We are pleased to know that you were able to understand the demand that seems to be the cause of this problem. I really appreciate your efforts you have taken on this issue.

To be on the safer side, you can also run a full scan of security on the computer since the mode without using the Microsoft Safety Scanner failure and make sure that the computer is completely clean of viruses and other malicious software. Please follow these steps:

Start the computer using safe mode with networking and analysis complete security

Step 1: Start the computer in Mode safe mode with networking

In Windows, we can start the computer in different modes to find and fix problems on the PC for advanced troubleshooting. Such a troubleshooting mode is a Safe Mode with network. Here we start Windows with a minimal set of drivers and services, including the network drivers. Please refer to the procedure described in this article to start the computer in safe mode with networking:

    Startup options (including safe mode)

After you start the computer in Mode safe mode with networking, let us download the Microsoft Safety Scanner and perform a full scan of the computer security.

Step 2: Run Microsoft Safety Scanner and check if there are infections on the computer.

You can download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner from this link:

    Download Microsoft Safety Scanner

Important: When you run a scan with an anti-virus program, data files that are infected can be cleaned by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

Hope this solves the problem. Please get back to us with updates.

  • File Explorer has stopped working properly from the taskbar

File Explorer has stopped working properly from the taskbar. Currently, I get only 3 windows on taskbar & opening No. 1 opens no.2 & vice versa, but no. 3 opens on its own. Can someone explain this & find a cure?

I would like to highlight the file Explorer icon and pin it again.  To do this.

    (1) close all running programs, including records from the file Explorer

    (2) right click on the icon on the task bar Explorer and "Unpin from Taskbar" to remove

    3) press Windows + R to display the race. Type C: and press OK. This will open your C: drive.

    (4) make a right click on the taskbar that appears, the file Explorer icon, and then click "Code Pin to Taskbar" to pin it.

  • Can someone tell me how to expand the columns of names of files in file Explorer?

In each program, I've never used, all the user has to do to make a column more wide is to click on the divider bar at the top (or the side of the column) and drag the wider column. Instantly. Easily. Nearly second nature without looking.

Now, clunky Windows 8 coming, and it's so frustrating!  I went on line and saw hundreds of people griping about the same and some of the answers are right-click on the column heading and click on the size, or to choose the longest title in your file and right click and choose the size of the car, but I don't have any of these options.  I right click on the longer title and don't get choices such as car size or size.  There is not a definable column header.  Above the list of files is a bunch of stuff in the Ribbon, none of this centered above the list of files.  Above, there are a few possibilities for right click produce the word "size" in the box that opens, but is not an active link, and I can't click on it.

I'm amazed that I bought this "top of the new version of line everyone will go to" and it does not with ease.  It is not calculate how wide to make the column... computers are great to calculate.  Why not Windows 8?   When a program allows you to work harder, take four or five steps to do one thing, that is not good design. He should do it for us, we should not be on the right side of the mouse, click on the left side, etc.

My main question is how to do widen the column, and my secondary question is how can we get Microsoft to listen to us?  I read the comment after comment on dozens of complaints, which is one of the most common.  Thus, besides wishing they would listen to us... I'll call their hotline tomorrow and complain... what someone knows in the meantime what can I do to see all the title of my files?  Right now they are all cut in half way through.  I want to enter this bar on the right and drag it to the right to reveal the name of file in the way of how work most computer programs.

It almost seems as if Microsoft tried to make it more difficult for their base of users and new users.   It boggles the mind.

Of course, I'd appreciate it if someone can tell me if it is still possible to make the column wider, and I would love it if there was a response that is easy without going through a lot of steps.  Thanks in advance to anyone out there who has thought about it!

    Happy new year!

    CG

There is no difference in the way you make the columns wider if I understand the question.

I guess you see something like this (without the arrows highlighting red and pointing to the column headings and separators that you hover over, click on + hold and drag to make greater/smaller in the method you describe):

Or are you speaking of something else than the "File Explorer" you mentioned in your question?

Also - if you get the "double-arrow" cursor hover at the same place as you would drag to the size of column wider or narrower and rather - double-click on - it (as it always has) calculates the necessary width to see everything in the column to the left of the separator you are clicking on and re - size accordingly.

I think that the right click of the column header (see section highlighted above) and change the size to fit refers to this menu, you would get when right-clicking on the column headers highlighted in the picture above...

Now there's something for everyone - you have to be in DETAILS view (as always) in order to get these beautiful columns.  "Very large icons', 'Large icons', 'medium-sized icons", "Small icons", "List", "Tiles" or "Content" views will not have columns to sort by...

In addition, if you notice in the last frame, in the "Détails" view, you must, depending on the size of your window, see "All columns to fit the size" as an option in the view menu.

And the "size of all columns to fit" as shown in the two methods I could think casual to show calculations for all columns and adjusts large/more details for all visible columns in the display of the Explorer of files in all areas.

Oh - and in case you want to "Détails" view to be the default view from this moment for your windows 'Windows Explorer '... Change to it (as shown above) and find the 'Options' button in the top Ribbon (usually the one furthest to the right) and click on it (not the arrows on the side of it - click it to select it) and should open a new window called "Folder Options."  Select the 'view' tab and click on "apply to folders" and all other folders that you open from the moment which will 'View' by default (unless you change it.)  * Special note * here - you can be originally 'Computer' or 'My PC' Windows Explorer - display you must have at least one folder of the selected (such as "drive Local (c)") drive and active in order to see the button 'Apply to records' assets to click.

New - this is essentially the same since Windows XP.  Some of the options have changed names (heck, even Windows Explorer is referred to as 'This PC' now instead of 'Computer' and 'My Computer') and there were a few additional views added and deleted - but even advanced stuff are quite similar to the latest methods to infer.

Hope that helps.  Ask if you have any other questions and please come back anyway let everyone know if the response was satisfactory!

  • File Explorer shows on taskbar, but it may never been seen

I noticed that shortly after that I upgraded Windows 8.1 little matter what I do, I can't view the file Explorer.  It appears on the taskbar, but I can never do appear to see.  I can't alt - tab to it.  I can't click on it.  I can't make it appear from the desktop or the start screen.  I can't press Windows-E.  Nothing works.  Nothing.  I'm amazed that I don't see something so fundamental.  I had installed FileLocator Pro after Windows 8.1 upgrade but I uninstalled.  iTunes updated, but it's hard to believe that would prevent work files Explorer.  It's incredibly frustrating.  I even tried old stuff like alt-space-m to move the window but that doesn't work either.

    Nothing works.

You have a taskbar, then explorer.exe should run.  Knowledge of what he can do.  For example Start Menu?  Run... dialogue?  Press Win - R if you can not open using a mouse.  In all cases, try to open a window of the Explorer via the shell: desktop (for example).

You can also do it from a cmd window raised with that as an argument.  Go to a directory where you can find so there is no question about your Path environment variable.  In particular, please note that when you open a cmd window high will probably be positioned to C:\Windows\System32\ where there is no explorer.exe.

To check that you can enter a pipeline command (either as root or %windir%):

    C:\>dir explorer.exe/s/b | find/i/v "winsxs".

Otherwise, given the expected directory you would be either in a high cmd window you can just enter:

    CD...

    and then

    Explorer.exe shell: Desktop

    (to run from C:\Windows\)

The idea of using a cmd window high is to maximize your chances to find a workaround and maximize the possibility of obtaining a usable diagnosis.  If you don't get enough clues to messages in the cmd window you already know in the case of transactions; even better run ProcMon to see what is happening and what is a failure.

Thank you for starting your own thread.  Clearly your symptoms differ significantly from another poster in the other thread.
