Cleaning of the radiator on my dv6700

I had my laptop for nearly 1.5 years. Unfortunately, my warranty missed and so I can't ship for repairs.

Recently my laptop started overheating (82 c) and cause various problems. The problem I encounter now however is that I can't access the radiator / fan that easily, because I have to take the whole cover from the bottom, and I don't know how to do this (I have without it, but coverage would not move, make me believe theres something to open it).

So I ask for help on how to open my laptop safe and clean the radiator.

Thanks in advance.

  • Satellite L505-10J - cleaning of the radiator system

    Hello!

My L505-10J system heat sink seems to be sprinkled at the same time, that the fan is more comparative work initially and to the exhaust air flow is barely perceptible.

My old laptop manufacturing another hat cover to access the RAM slots and fan/radiator as well... remove dust was easy enough.

L505-10 days don't have that easy access to the fan, looks like I have to open it completely.

Am I losing the warranty if I opened the laptop for the cleaning of the questions? Is there an easier way to clean?

    Thank you and best regards,

    daFlox

    Hi daFlox,

I use Toshiba laptops for years but I never opened it to clean the radiator system. This is not necessary because you need only spray compressed air to do this. Just blow air through the BACE h of the cases where the fan is. This can blow off the dust. You can get the jet of compressed air from each dealer computer I think.

By the way: even I found this article in the section fair questions:
    [http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/ann.jspa?annID=40 | http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/forum.jspa?forumID=105]

And if you open the case, you will lose your warranty, that's right, but as I wrote it to clean your system it s is not necessary.

  • How to clean the radiator Satellite A210 - 11 p?

I've had this laptop for quite some time now and I noticed that the fan becomes strong enough. I'm sure that there is dust pilling room in there, even if I tried to vacuum the dust through the hole. Is there a guide to I disassemble the laptop and actually clean the radiator and the fan? Or is it possible to clean without taking it apart? Please guide. Thanks in advance for the help!

You must not open or should not disassemble the laptop because first of all, this procedure is very delicate and not easy, and second, you will lose the warranty!
In my opinion it s not worth losing the warranty and to laptops risk of damage.
Such procedure should be made by a certified maker Toshiba.

But if you don t want to send the laptop to the ASP in your country, then you can try to clean the cooling modules with a professional air spray. These sprays are designed to clean the portable fans and can be purchased at the other computer and laptop dealers. I bought a set of cleaning of an online store and it s very useful

I recommend you research a little in the internet for good deals.

The tutorials to open it, or how to access the fan and the heat sink?

    Hello!

It of not necessary to disassemble the laptop. This should be done by a technician for laptop.

To clean the radiator and fan, you can use compressed air jet or something else and could blow the dust from the fan.

You will get no tutorials or manual how to take apart Toshiba notebooks only FSA (authorized service provider) have some guides.

  • Satellite A30 still crashes after the cleaning of the fans

    Dear all,

I cleaned the radiator and fans as suggested by many positions included the "filter felt' and removed. Since then, my A30 runs a lot cooler and fans light up less often. But, I still have these random crashes and restarts. I checked the event log and found the following STARTING or SYSTEM STARTUP DRIVER (S) FOLLOWING failed to LOAD message:
d_kmd. Can someone give me some tips on solving this problem?

    Hello

For me, this looks like a software malfunction. In my opinion the best way is to retrieve the entire operating system. All drivers and registry entries should return load correctly.
Of course, you should make a backup of your important and necessary and data files.

  • Cannot clean up the queue and print the new document

All of a sudden in trouble with my C6180 all-in-One. It didn't print a document remaining queues. Tried everything to clean up the queue. But nope. Document is in the list. Document status information: deletion. And never remove the ends. Right now my printer is not a printer. Can anyone help?

    Hello

In Control Panel, open administrative tools and select abuse.  Scroll down to the print spooler service, right click and select Properties, then click the Stop button.  Now search for C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS, then delete the tasks within this folder - you may need to click a command prompt to get the authority to open the PRINTERS folder.

Restart the computer and you should find that the documents have been deleted.

  • You can remove the CPU of a heatsink fan without removing the radiator?

Well, I play games on my laptop and I think I have exhausted my fan. It's about does not and I get an error when I start my laptop (error 90 b). I want to replace it with the right fan but I would also save time and money by removing just the radiator cooling fan. Is it also possible to prevent overheating with the new fan in my laptop? Is another question, possible for the processor to change in this laptop?

Laptop: HP Pavilion G7-2269wm, Windows 8.1

You all rest of the warranty!

screw on the radiator fan & I would like to only by the fan.

Reconstruction will require good thermal paste like artic silver ceramic (good for laptops) also check how all chips in contact with the heat sink as if not under a load or using the soft thermal pads do editing of the slipways (measured correctly) copper will have big gains for cooling & life of the material.

CPU is variable, but upgrade options will be limited, consult the manual of the hp (support download) for possible options of better equipped models of processor...

  • Cleaning of the printheads to 6980 in windows 7?

It's maddening!  I can't believe that there is no work around for the Toolbox missing in windows 7.  I NEED to clean the print heads and can't understand how.  I tried to do it manually according to instructions from HP (keep the button / stop, pressing CV 6 times and letting) but nothing happened.  Can anyone help?  I don't want to have to sell this printer and get a new one in order to be able to clean the print heads; This is ridiculous.   Thank you!

    Hi bookprint.

I'm sorry to hear you're having problems with cleaning of the print head. I found a few troubleshooting steps that are useful to show you how clean the area around the cartridge nozzles.

Maybe we can solve your problem of box to missing tools as well. If you upgraded to Vista, download HP Print Software Patch when upgrading Vista to Windows 7.

This patch will fix the problems with the features and the following features:

    • HP print status
    • Toolbox
    • Ink levels
    • Solution Center
    • HP Scan (all-in-One)
    • Button scan of cover (all-in-One)

    I hope it's useful.

  • Is alcohol the best solution for the cleaning of the product

Sometimes you print quality problems. You cannot print the colors, bad impression or bad imagingin during the scan images.

You go through all the troubleshooting steps away as cartrides, glass, rollers of the printer cleaning and replacement of cartridges.

Ask yourself what you should used during the cleaning of the unit?

WATER and a LINT cloth, would be the best solution for cleaning. You can absorb the water on the cloth and clean the printhead, cartridges, the scanner glass, rolls and any other area that needs to be specific to the unit.

ALCOHOL IS NOT AN OPTION. This can damage the strips and the contacts on the cartridges and the print head. The next time you need to clean your product, water is the best option.

    Hope this helps everyone.

  • Add memory to HP ENVY Phoenix 800 - 070st - free space for the locations of memory behind the radiator.

    Hello

I ordered a HP ENVY Phoenix 800 - 070st with 16 GB of memory and is to be delivered Friday. My question is how much clearance is here to the sticks of memory in the slots behind the radiator and the radiator has to be removed for adding memory to these two locations. Will it take low memory footprint, or is there room for mem sticks with heat sinks. It won't be here until next week, if just trying to plan ahead.

    Thank you

    Bryan

    Gateb, welcome to the forum.

I can't find any warnings about any of your concerns in the specs of HP.  However, having said that, I suggest wait you receive the computer to make purchases.  HP isn't necessarily embracing third-party updates.  Memory performance with heat sinks can be very important, as you know, or you have asked the question.  Better safe than sorry.  Just my $. 02.

Moreover, it is a great computer.

  • Cleaning of the display screen

What is recommended for the cleaning of the display screen?

    Steve,

You can use Microfiber cleaning chiffonette and can clear the LCD screen of the camera. This will remove dust, dirt and fingerprints on the LCD without scratches or scratches and without the use of harmful chemicals. Don't use solvents or liquid-based cleaners.

NOTE: A cleaning cloth can be purchased at any specialty camera store or order directly from the Web site of Sony parts and accessories sales or by calling (800) 488-7669.

  • System cleaned after the attack of virus/malware using 6 recommended tools - 90% of the system is back to normal, but most of the options in the custom of open Control Panel!

The system was attacked by a virus/spyware. Microsoft Security Essentials has been installed after that - it found nothing after a comprehensive analysis. Malwarebytes Anti-Malware has been installed, it is the largest part of it and removed. Norton 360 has found rest. SuperANTISpyware has also been installed and this has also nothing after a system scan. Then ATF Cleaner and CCleaner were used to finish with what anyone else remaining areas may be temporary.

So right now the system is more or less fine - programs running, the internet works etc. However when I open the control panel and click on a bunch of things for example Security Center, Sound, customization etc - they open habit. You see that the cursor turns into the blue circle for a fraction of a second and then more nothing. No window opens and closes or whatever it is. Now, I assume that the pieces of the virus/spyware are still active but with all tools using the latest definitions not being not able to find anything like that, I wonder if it's just a case of something having disabled those elements and not them reactivated after cleaning. The reason why I don't think it's something malicious is also because some options such as the Windows Firewall, the Manager of devices and programs and features open and work properly. Any other malicious software would certainly avoid these access as they could help shorten.

    Please help, thanks!
