clock and date

Hello. Whenever I stop my lap top for the date and time to stop also. So whenever I turn on my computer, I have to go into the control panel to reset the date and time. Not sure why this is happening? It's every time.

Hi Anne,.

You are welcome

Try the following.

Shut down the laptop.  Tap away at the esc you key start Notepad to open the Start Menu.  Select the option in the Bios ( f10 ).

You should see that the first field highlighted is the time value - set this to the correct time by using f5 and f6 (f5 will reduce the number & f6 it will increase).  When it is correct, press ENTER to highlight the Minute field and again, use f5 & f6 to set the correct minutes.

When finished, press the arrow down to select the first Date field.  This should be for the month, so using f5 & f6 to enter the correct value.

Press Enter to highlight the field day and this, and then press ENTER to highlight the year field and then set this.

If you are happy with the settings of Date and time, press f10 and press ENTER to save the settings and exit the bios.

Let windows load completely.  If the Date and time correct does not appear, go to the control panel and set the Date and time correct here.

Try to restart the computer and verify if this has fixed the problem.

Kind regards

    Thanks in advance

    Howdy Karthik SJ,

    It seems that the date and time that you would normally see on your lock screen not displayed once you upgrade to iOS 9.2. I would start by quitting the application settings:

    Force an app to close the iOS

    1. press the Home button twice quickly. You will see small glimpses of your applications recently used.
    2. slide to the left to find the application you want to close.
    3. push upward on the overview of the application to close.

  • My PC clock and date always change when I turn on the PC. How can I get the time to stay the same / correct?

    Hello. Not sure if I have come to the right place with my question. I have Windows XP Home Edition.  My PC clock and date change every time I turn on my PC.  I set the time and date when I turn it on, but then when the PC was interrupted and I next turn to the, (after a period of time) the time and date will be incorrect - a few months and hours.  I have looked for ways to solve this problem, but couldn't find anything.  Any suggestion would be appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi Anti-A,

    -Remember to make changes to your computer before this problem started to happen?
    -You are using a laptop or a desktop computer?

    Determine if the loss of time is the result of a weak computer battery. Follow these steps to do the same thing:

    a. click Start, point to programsand then click MS-DOS prompt.

    b. at the command prompt, type time and then press ENTER.

    c. compare this time with the time shown by the clock in the taskbar.

    d. Type exit and press ENTER.

    If the computer's time and the time on the clock are different, the computer's battery may be too low for accurate time, and it must be replaced. For more information on how to replace the battery, refer to the documentation that came with your computer.

  • Clock and battery indicator went

    Hey, I've finally updated to OS X El Capitan last night. Everything goes a lot overall, I love the new features and the whole system runs a lot faster. The only problem I have is that since I've updated the clock and battery indicator are no longer visible in the status bar at the top of my screen. • Clock and hw external trigger with USB-6210 on Linux with NOR-DAQmx Base?

    I have two devices USB-6210 I need to synchronize so that they both collect data exactly at the same time. I was told by support OR I can send the clock off Dev1/PFI4 and have the two USB-6210 s read the clock in through their own PFI0. I also want to trigger data collected for each device by sending a trigger off Dev1/PFI6 and have two devices to receive the signal on PFI2.

    All my attempts to try this are filled with error messages and my research online seem to say that's not possible with USB devices on NOR-DAQmx Base 3.4.0f2 on Linux.

    I "ve tried using example AI programs and those who do not seem to work either for external clocks. Here is the code I tried:

    #include "NIDAQmxBase.h"#include

    #define DAQmxErrChk(functionCall) { if( DAQmxFailed(error=(functionCall)) ) { goto Error; } }

    int main(void){    // Task parameters    int32       error = 0;    TaskHandle  taskHandle = 0;    char        errBuff[2048]={'\0'};    int32       i;

        // Channel parameters    char        chan[] = "Dev1/ai0";    float64     min = -10.0;    float64     max = 10.0;

        // Timing parameters    char        clockSource[] = "/Dev1/PFI7";    uInt64      samplesPerChan = 1000;    float64     sampleRate = 10000.0;

        // Data read parameters    #define     bufferSize (uInt32)1000    float64     data[bufferSize];    int32       pointsToRead = bufferSize;    int32       pointsRead;    float64     timeout = 10.0;

    printf("Calling CreateTask...\n");    DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxBaseCreateTask("",&taskHandle));printf("Calling CreateAIVoltageChan...\n");    DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxBaseCreateAIVoltageChan(taskHandle,chan,"",DAQmx_Val_Cfg_Default,min,max,DAQmx_Val_Volts,NULL));printf("Calling CfgSampleClkTiming...\n");    DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxBaseCfgSampClkTiming(taskHandle,clockSource,sampleRate,DAQmx_Val_Rising,DAQmx_Val_FiniteSamps,samplesPerChan));printf("Calling StartTask...\n");    DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxBaseStartTask(taskHandle));printf("Calling ReadAnalogF64\n");    DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxBaseReadAnalogF64(taskHandle,pointsToRead,timeout,DAQmx_Val_GroupByChannel,data,bufferSize,&pointsRead,NULL));

        printf ("Acquired %d samples\n", pointsRead);

        // Just print out the first 10 points    for (i = 0; i < 10; ++i)        printf ("data[%d] = %f\n", i, data[i]);

    Error:    if( DAQmxFailed(error) )        DAQmxBaseGetExtendedErrorInfo(errBuff,2048);    if(taskHandle != 0) {        DAQmxBaseStopTask (taskHandle);        DAQmxBaseClearTask (taskHandle);    }    if( DAQmxFailed(error) )       printf ("DAQmxBase Error %d: %s\n", error, errBuff);    return 0;}

    When I run the resulting program, I see this:

    $. / acquireNScans-ExtClk
    The CreateTask call...
    Call for CreateAIVoltageChan...
    Call for CfgSampleClkTiming...
    Error-89136 DAQmxBase: route specified cannot be satisfied, because the hardware does not support it.

    For example, a clock and a trigger can be imported via one of the PFI lines by using a USB-6210 on Linux with NOR-DAQmx Base? A clock and a trigger exportable via one of the PFI lines?

    If so, does anyone have the code example illustrating how to do this, or can you at least tell me the names of the lines ("PFI0/Dev1" or other) so I can try again?

    Clues or suggestions would be helpful.

    Thank you

    -Tom

    The clockSource in the example specifies an output rather than an input channel channel. Change source "/ Dev1 / PFI0" solved the problem.

  • Card FPGA and data acquisition synchronization

    Hi, we are control and data acquisition of several hardware devices (including Photodetectors and translational stages). Until last week, we used all the controls and acquisition using a PCIe-7852R FPGA board. However, we decided to move the acquisition part to a PCIe 6363 DAQ card to improve the sharpness of the tension. During the test, I found that the internal clocks in the FPGA and the DAQ cards are slightly inconsistent (not just a phase delay, but a difference in the period).

    I know because I have generated a square wave (period = 20) using the FPGA and gains using the data acquisition card (at a rate of 200 kHz, that is, 1 taste every 5). I have observed acquired place shifts 5 every 5 seconds approximately. Such a change does not occur if the production and acquisition is done using the same Board. Therefore, the only explanation is that the data acquisition and FPGA cards clock frequencies are different. According to my calculations, the percentage difference between their time clock must be 5/5 s = 0.0001%.

    Therefore, I wonder if there is anyway to synchronize clocks between them. Or, is it possible that I can drive the FPGA clock-based DAQ hardware, or vice versa? Also, please let me know if there is something trivial as I fix.

    Thank you very much.

    Kind regards

    Varun

    Hi Varun,

    my post was only one solution...

    Your data acquisition card may take an entry to control sampling of trigger. In this mode, samples draw on a rising edge of the external clock signal. As long as you stay within the limits of the DAQ (100 MHz for your card) material sampling works perfectly. There are even examples coming with LabVIEW explaining how to program your data acquisition card...

    This mode use you your FPGA as clock source sampling for data acquisition. Both will run on the FPGA clock in sync. When the FPGA is a bit out of 40 MHz, so it won't matter because both devices are triggered on the same clock signal...

    Hello: it started a few days ago. Booted up and couldn't get online. I noticed that the clock was distant time. back to zero time and still wouldn't preform. Then found out that the calendar had dates back to 2006. reset the calendar and everything has worked until I stopped and restarted then computer. The clock and the computer had
    flopped back at the wrong time and the year 2006. Now, every time I restart the computer I have to reset the time/calendar window before I can get online. Thank you for your time and help patten gerald * address email is removed from the privacy *.

    Hello

    This problem could be the BIOS battery.

    I suggest you to replace the BIOS battery and check how it works.

    You can replace the BIOS battery by contacting your manufacturer or shops local tech.

    Note: Change (CMOS) BIOS/complementary metal oxide semiconductor settings can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/CMOS settings can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

  • can anyone help me find an app for the Zeen which has just the time and date? Don't want to google.

    I don't know how to use the apps since all I found is on android, but apparently the Zeen is not compatible with the android apps.  I have google calendar, but it doesn't work and want to only the time and date is displayed.  I followed all the directions for adding applications, but they do not work or I can't understand them.

    Salvation of theeagles,

    The Zeen is unable to access the Android Market, but it's an Android device.  There is a market for this called SlideME, and you should have the icon for it in your apps section.  I have a station also, and I'm just a normal clock on mine.

    Here is a link to SlideME, if you want to see what applications are available: http://slideme.org/
