  • Y410P cover with Do Nothing Option close, computer laptop Goes CRAZY (opens programs randomly)

Just got my phone today. I play with her, but I found a problem obvious and unpleasant. If I can not ge this fix I must return.

I have the opportunity to "do nothing" when the lid is closed. However, I discovered that the laptop opens just randomly files/programs/applications. I have the laptop sitting on my table. It's not squealing or repositioning. Is it due to poor planning on this laptop? The laptop isn't even a touchscreen when what happens?

    Hi anon09,.

    Welcome to the Forums.

There is unusual activity on your computer. You can try to:

    1. press Fn + F6 to disable the touch pad and try to re-create the problem (if it works, the touchpad is probably the one that opens apps - try to set the sensitivity by going to control panel > mouse.) There should be a tab device settings or MOMENTUM to set the sensitivity.

    2. if same problem, try to re - create the problem in Safe Mode. If everything works well, perform a clean boot and test (this action temporarily disables startup programs which is most likely causing the problem).

    Let me know your findings,

  • External USB HDD PX1269E - 1 50 cannot be recognized on computer

    Hello

I recently bought an external hard drive, Toshiba 500 GB external USB Hard Drive PX1269E - 1 50 I want to use it on my Pentium 4 3.6 ghz memory 1 GB 400 GB internal hard drive and motherboard ASUS P4P800.
I installed Windows XP Profesional SP2 on this PC.

We have 4 pc at home and he answered on any of this.
The next problem is that after I pluged in the USB 2.0 conector, nothing happens? In the close computer store, I asked the seller to try it on one of their computers and the seller pluged it in one of the laptops and my external hard drive has responded immediately!

After the test to the computer store, we have purchased a pci usb 2.0 card because we thought it was the problem of usb, but after installation of the usb hard drive adapter has failed, either.

    What could be the problem?

    Hello

The dealer has tested the HARD drive and it worked.
It seems the exterior works of HARD drive and can be recognized on the computer.

In my opinion it s is not a HARD drive problem. For the most part this external HARD drive needs more power that can provide a USB port. My brother uses external USB HDD and it was delivered with a cable from USB 2. His HARD drive must be connected to the 2 USB ports on the laptop.

I think that if you have a single USB plug cable, so you should use an external power supply for the HARD drive or try to connect it to the USB hub with external power supply.

    Maybe it will work

  • HP Envy 15 Notebook PC: HP Envy 15 laptop hinges

I am extremely disappointed by HP; I bought my computer just long enough so that the warranty expires before that one of the attching the display hinges to the broken keyboard, something that has been difficult to close computer and, in general, to use. It is a problem that other users have had on other models of ENVY, but when I tried to reach out to a HP representative by phone, informed me that I would be charged $229.99 for a repair. It's discouraging and mind-boggling that a mechanical problem, most likely the one who comes to me sent a defective product because it was not the result of the computer never dumped, would cost me about 20% of the price of the computer to fix.

  • HP Pavilion Elite HPE-180 t CTO: multimedia card reader does not work

The provided HP 6-in-1 multimedia card on the upper drive before the computer has stopped working. This computer is running the Microsoft 64 - bit Windows 7 home premium, I can't find any information on the card or drive driver on HP or sites in the HP user guides. I had to buy a support external USB, card reader to import photos from the cards. Do you have an idea where to find a driver or how to re - turn on the card reader? He simply stopped communicating. What can be done to make it work again?

Go back to a restore point is not a viable solution. There are too many updates on this computer because the problem occurred. In addition, returning to a previous restore point does not solve the problem. I continued my research and found the solution on the Microsoft support forum.

Step 1, uninstall the 'readers' listed under MOBILE DEVICES.

They all have an error "this device cannot start Code 10".

    Restart the computer.

Plug a carf Compact Flash and Device Manager reports:

"WPD filesystem Volume driver does not (code 10)".

With a card in the reader:
    Select START > > > right click COMPUTER > > > select Manage
    Under STORAGE select DISK MANAGEMENT
Flash cards will appear in the middle like a FAT Partition window in good health
    Right-click next to the icon
Select the paths AND the CHANGE of DRIVE LETTER access
    Select Add
Select the radio button OK (assign a new drive letter or path)

Windows will automatically assign a new drive letter
    Click OK
    Close computer management

The computer will recognize the Compact Flash, SD, etc and you can select what you want to do (such as open in the file manager).

    Restart the computer.

Connect a Compact Flash or SD card.

The system will recognize the card.

If it is not the case, repeat the procedure for this type of card management.

    This solution really works.

  • Backup error 0 x 80070003-Windows

Win7 Home Premium 64 ceased to make backups and the only message I get is "Windows backup - Windows cannot disable the task of automatic backup for the following reason:

The system does not have the specified path. (0 x 80070003)

    Try again.

Would be really nice if you could cut and paste from these error windows.

    Hi Grunt65,

I understand you are trying to backup file in a local drive or a USB external drive. Please follow these steps:

    Option 1

Create an additional administrator account to test and try backup when you are logged in using the new administrator account. If it works then you old profile could be damaged.

To create a local administrator account:
    > Click Start, right click computer and select manage.
    > Expand users and groups local and right click on users and select new user.
    > Enter a user name, name, name, and password.
    > Deselect the option user must change password at next logon and select password never expires.
    > Click on create, and then click Close.
    > Right click on the name of the user account and choose Properties.
    > On the Member tab, click Add.
    > Administrators and click OK.
    > Click OK and then close computer management.
    Option 2

  • C: drive enlarge or extend the Win 7 problem

Hi, I use windows 7 x64bit, recently I installed this OS but somehow during the partition I've entered by mistake a small amount in my C: Drvice (approximately 30 GB) only. Now, after the installation of all programs that I'm going to be necessary, my space memory disk c is declining and I need to extend my c drive volume to avoid another problem whenever I installed another program. Based on some forums and blogs to technical support, all I have to do is go to disk management and click with the right button on c drive and click on Extend Volume, but it is not clickable. Someone please help...: D thanks!

Victory built in partititionneur has its limits, it can only develop if not used are right next to the C: partition.

You must use a third-party partition manager, for example http://www.partition-tool.com/personal.htm

    Resolution

On RT click the desktop > screen resolution > make text and other items... etc.

Is that what you're looking for

I'll help you with this problem. I suggest you follow these steps to extend the primary partition:

    (a) right click on the partition (C:------) you want to extend in the now unallocated partition and click Extend Volume.

    (b) click on Next, welcome to the Volume Wizard window extend.

    (c) select the amount of space in MB to use of the unallocated partition to use to extend this partition.

    (d) If you want to redo a partition, select all of the space available for this disc. If there is other disks with unallocated disk space, they would have shown during the selection available.

Note: It is recommended that you do not extend a volume on a disk with another disk free space. If one of the disks has a hardware failure, all data on that partition (volume) will be deleted.

    (e) click Next. Click Finish in the window end extend. You will now see the disk management console with the new extended partition volume ready to be used.

    (f) close computer management.

    (g) click computer in the Start Menu and see your new scope of partition volume.
