  • No extproc for Oracle 64-bit 11.1.0.7 on Win 2003 64 - bit 32-bit DLL load?

    Hello

    Background:

We have Oracle 11.1.0.7.0 EE 32-bit on Windows 2003 32-bit EA and now migrated to 64-bit (OS and DB) and everything worked brilliantly ok except...

    Problem:

We used to connect to an external application (zip code more than AFD) via extproc to search postal codes / addresses etc. However, after migration, the error:

ORA-06520: PL/SQL: error loading of external library
ORA-06522: could not load the DLL

Configuring listener.ora and tnsnames.ora as exactly the same as what we had on 32-bit machine (with the exception of the host name).

    Issues related to the:
    1 does extproc for Oracle 64-bit 11.1.0.7 on Win 2003 64 - bit 32-bit DLL load?
2 when searched got a quite a lot of link on extproc32 (for all versions of UNIX), but not for Windows and found this link Extproc32 installation - what want to say it is not possible to load the 32-bit on Windows 64-bit installation DLL?

  • nianlys.dll could not be found on Windows 7

I'm having trouble installing my application on a particular computer. I sent this request several times on a number of computers, but in this particular case, I get an error when you run the program-

"System.DllNotFoundException: unable to load DLL 'nianlys.dll': the specified module could not be found." (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80070007E)

    • I made sure that nianlys.dll is present in C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\Shared\Analysis.
    • I made sure that libiomp5md.dll and LV110000_BLASLAPACK.dll, mkl.msm files, are present. nianlys.dll also has a dependency on nimetautils.msm, but I do not know what DLLs are included in this.
    • I made this program is installed by running setup.exe as administrator (as opposed to run the .msi file that is generated, see here).
    • I assured that the computer in question is aware of updates of .net framework via windows update.
    • I tried to reinstall the program several times, sometimes with a newly recompiled Installer.
    • I tried to add in the 64-bit nianlys.msm in the Setup manually - project this generates an error because the project's TargetPlatform property Installer is set to x 86. The 32-bit version is, of course, already present in the detected dependencies.
    • Interestingly, taking a copy of nianlys.dll to C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\Shared\Analysis and insertion in the directory that the program is installed in throws up a different error - in this case, the error is "an attempt was made to load a program with an incorrect format. (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007000B) ».
    • Take a copy of the 64-bit version of nianlys.dll from another computer (default location C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\Shared\Analysis) and by inserting in the directory that the program is installed in throws a third type of error - ' System.DllNotFoundException: unable to load DLL 'nianlys.dll': a dynamic link library (DLL) initialization routine failed. " (Exception from HRESULT: 0x8007045A) ». It is worth noting that this .dll was present before installing the program on the machines that the program works, but is not * present on the target computer, throwing problems.
    • Taking the same 64-bit nianlys.dll and insert it in the location that it was found on another computer, C:\Program NIUninstaller Instruments\Shared\Analysis, do not resolve the original error.
    • Interstingly even more, I have tried to reproduce the error on a computer on which the program is running - remove the x 64 version of nianlys.dll get the original HRESULT: 0x80070007E error, while remove the x 86 version is a Windows Installer appear when you run the program.
    • On a computer on which the program works without any problem, windows Task Manager does not appear to indicate that the program is 32-bit (with the * suffix 32 on the name of the program), despite the platform target to x 86 value.

It seems all that there is a problem with the nianlys.dll used in both the x 64 and x 86, despite the target platform versions only being x 86. I'm really running out of ideas on this sort of thing I could try to fix this problem, any help would be most appreciated.

Okay, problem has been resolved - see the solution to the overflow of stack here. Basically, the program was running 64-bit instead of 32-bit, and as a result of the x 64 nianlys.dll and Associates x 64 dependencies were absent.

  • NOR-IMAQ library for the 64 bit version does exist?

NOR-IMAQ library for the 64 bit version does exist?

    Wooddoll,

    In general, 64-bit import libraries are installed in C:\Program Files (x 86) \National Instruments\Shared\ExternalCompilerSupport\C\Lib64\MSVC\imaq.lib for 64-bit variants.

The 64 bits real DLL is usually installed in C:\windows\system32\imaq.dll.

  • Kernel32.dll is included in the support folder

    Hello

I had to provide a multilingual support in my application (English and Russian) and I chose Unicode functions for the end of this Web page:
    https://decibel.NI.com/content/docs/doc-10153

Calls made to kernel32.dll for the string conversion between ASCII and Unicode and forcing the manufacturer asked to include kernel32.dll in the support folder. I seem unable to exclude the addition of kernel32.dll. Then, the application installation program will pick up the kernel32.dll file. If I try to delete it before creating the installer, it will detect the missing file and will not build. So, let the installer to copy the file kernel32.dll on a target computer seems odd, but works if LabVIEW development PC and the target computer have the same flavors of Windows and both 32-bit. The real trouble begins when 32-bit kernel32.dll is copied on Windows 7 64 bit. Then application will crash before loading. The solution, of course, is to manually remove the 32-bit kernel32.dll file that was placed there by the installer.

Is there a way to tweak the application Builder so that it won't automatically include a copy of the kernel32.dll file and let my request to use one Windows on the target machine?
Is there another library that I could use for Unicode in LabVIEW which is not married to kernel32.dll?

    I work with LabVIEW 2011 on Windows7 32-bit SP1

    Thank you

    Serge

Ensure that any node library call which accesses a function from kernel32.dll, contains only the name of the DLL without any path information. The "name or library path" being a name tells that the application builder to process the DLL as a pre-installed system and not copy as a DLL in the generation of the application. It is in fact also documented in the online help on the library node call.

    I'm just a new computer windows 7 64 bit (): 1 PC for short.

I compile my programs with CVI 9.0.

When I compile a program with PC 1:

-l'installation works on PC 1 and PC 2

-the installed prog works on PC 1

-the installed prog does not work on PC 2: lack of export... from "KERNEL32. DLL'

    Someone has an idea?

In the window edit, tab files, "Installation of the files and directories" section, in the list box on the right you see all the files included in the distribution kit.

The second item in this list, after the executable (if I'm right because I had to remove it for all of the projects I developed), there is an item called "your 32-bit executable DLL dependencies. Right click and select 'delete files '. Then rebuild the distribution kit.

  • Problem Win7: Device driver (* .inf) within the distribution is not installed in setup.exe. Why?

    Hi people,

We have a device driver (* .inf) to our application that is added to our distribution , we create in CVI. In the past we did copy the *.inf in the /dossier inf directly (using the distribution Installer "files"-Tab "").

Recently, we have followed the guidelines described in "Using LabWindows/CVI to install your device .inf files.

So we have now chosen a significant subdirectory of our application as the destination folder for the file *.inf instead of directly copy in the system directory.

Everything works well (besides the fact that our driver has no signature and needs user interaction), while using Windows XP.

DIFxApp (run MsiProcessDrivers) recognizes the *.inf file and installs the device driver.

After completing successfully the setup.exe, the specified *.inf has been duplicated as oem*.inf/pnf under /INF.

But under Windows 7 the *.inf is not installed. I ran "setup.exe/l * v" for the information of the installation log file.

    And I found this article:

MSI (s) (8:9 C) [13:56:41:043]: jumping action: MsiProcessDrivers (the condition is false)
Of course the step of installing the drivers is ignored.

Choose the /INF in the folder target to the *.inf (which does not work on Windows XP) everything works fine.

Does anyone know why MsiProcessDrives is ignored in Windows 7? It is always ignored or I do something wrong?

    Help is appreciated!

    Thank you!

    Philipp

PS. : The device driver *.inf was written for several OS (XP, Vista, Win7) target according to Microsoft guidelines for this. So it of a universal *.inf file and can be used in each operating system from XP to Win7.

    Good,

    I solved the problem myself.

The problem is related to the DIFxApp.dll , which is available as 32-bit and 64-bit version.

In my case, I created the distribution as the 32-bit version. That's why 32-Bit DIFxApp.dll is merged into the MSI file that is not compatible with Windows 7 (64-bit).

This is why NOR added to this CustomAction Condition (NOT VersionNT64) for MsiProcessDrivers, which is perfectly adapted to the species but of by not having is not the *.inf file

installed in Win7. I guess the distribution building like Release64 it will use the 64-bit Version of DIFxApp.dll. I'm not able to verify that (still works on XP).

But then it will probably crash on XP.

But anyway. We have a distribution for the two BONES.

Quick & dirty solution I figured out:

-Edit-> files distribution: Add the *.inf file to C:\window\inf

-Manually add VersionNt64 condition in the resulting MSI file under component -> (you can use the ORCA editor for this)

So now, in the case of XP, the *.inf file gets installed by DIFxApp.dll.

Windows 7 using the *.inf is copied directly in the windows/inf folder and installs automatically the first time that the device is connected.

I guess you can merge DIFxApp.dll (32 bit) and DIFxApp.dll (64-bit) to the MSI and manage things together, create conditions. But it is not quickly implemented. At least for me is not...

    Regards Philipp

    Hello Vic_007,

If this started after updating Nvidia drivers, you can reinstall the previous drivers series that you were using for the moment, keep an eye on new Nvidia drivers in the meantime.

Also, can you zip the contents of the C:\windows\minidumps folder and post it in a public folder on http://skydrive.live.com?

After that, post the link on this thread so that we can look at landfills.

    Best regards

I just loaded Vista Ultimate 64-bit. Records only show thumbnails for jpg files and no PDF files. In the past, when I had Vista 32-bit, vignettes appeared for PDF files. Show all settings are correct. Hidden files, boxes of file extensions, etc. Box to always display thumbnails and icons.
I disabled users and the security of all accounts, but is what I get for a PDF icon Adobe Reader 9.2. It will not display a thumbnail. In the same folder, all jpg files appear. I really miss this feature working in XP and Vista 32 bit. What is going on??

    Hi Ben9000,

Welcome to the Microsoft answers site!

This symptom occur because a 64-bit process that is running on a computer that is running an x 64 version of Windows cannot load the 32 bit files .dll required by some features of the program.

    Try the following work around:

You must use the 32-bit version of Windows Explorer. The 32-bit version of Windows Explorer is located in the folder %windir%\Syswow64 on the computer that is running an x 64 version of Windows.

To use the 32-bit version of Windows Explorer, follow these steps:

Click Start, click run, type the following in the Open box, and then click OK:

    DriveLetter : \windows\syswow64\explorer.exe/separate

Note The drive letter placeholder represents the drive where the x 64 version of Windows is installed.

    For more information:

Some Windows Explorer extensions and some control panel items are not displayed on computers that are running an x 64 version of Windows

Now, check if the problem is resolved.

You can try the following steps:
Thumbnail view of PDF via Acrobat reader:
    1. run Acrobat Reader. In the player, click file > Open and navigate to one or several folders containing your PDF files. If necessary, move the cursor to display all your PDF files.
    2. leave Open and exit the player.
    3. open Windows Explorer and navigate to your PDF files (s) records.
    4. click on displays and move the slider until you see miniature.

Thank you, and in what concerns:

  • "Adobe Photoshop has stopped working".

Problem #1: Yesterday, out of the blue, when I tried to open Photoshop CS5.1, I got a pop up insisting I install Photoshop Extended. I have never possessed enlarged so the pop up makes no sense. I could leave the installation license agreement / expanded, but whenever I clicked on the icon Photoshop Extended installation would open again. In other words, there is no way that I could get into my version of Photoshop.

Problem #2: Adobe Support told me to uninstall Photoshop, use the clean tool Adobe and reinstall my original Photoshop, I did. However, now when I try to enter in Photoshop, I always have the same mistake during startup: "Adobe Photoshop CS5.1 has stopped working". I tried to reset the preferences outside of photoshop, but nothing works.

I'm on Windows 10. There were no changes to my system recently. My graphics card drivers are up to date.

    UPDATE:

I checked my event viewer and all accidents indicate that the fault is caused by "adobe_caps.dll. How to solve this? I installed clean twice already.

  • NA. Kerberos5: An authentication Handshake failure

Hi, when connecting to the server Oracle 11 g via the customer oracle 12 c presse3 of .net application, "The handshake Kerberos5 authentication failure" error could not load 'Oracle.ManagedDataAccessIOP '. Application has functioned well when used unmanaged client 11 g (authentication mode: Kerberos). but when upgraded to Managed 12 c drivers, the problem occurs. Help, please!

It is not a fully managed Kerberos implementation. Unmanaged ODP.NET uses the MIT Kerberos libraries that are part of the Oracle Client. With ODP.NET managed, these Kerberos libraries must be installed. You can install MIT Kerberos yourself or install client Oracle DB 12 c, which includes MIT Kerberos. Managed ODP.NET includes a second DLL, Oracle.ManagedDataAccessIOP.dll, who works the Kerberos libraries. There is a 32-bit IOP DLL and 64-bit, depending on whether you are using 32-bit libraries or 64 bits of Kerberos.

There is more info in the doc:
