  Just to restate what Bob says...

  The time-out period is as your source of synchronization.  So, if no message has been received within the given time (negative expectations are infinite wait), then the queue returns the default value for the type of data (e.g. empty string to a string data type) and the release of "Timedout?" is set to TRUE.  You can detect this and perform any action you want your intervaled rate.

  The beauty of this Setup is that if something happened to you can handle immediately.

• Blocking message queue mechanism

  We are in the configuration MP with masters on AIX and slaves on HP or Windows.

  On the slaves, in the ulog, sometimes we have the error message "CMDTUX_CAT:1380: ERROR: the Message Queue blocking warned childbirth, Qaddr = xxxxxx".

  She seems to happens because the BRIDGE process received a message from the network and could not place the message in the queue expected CPI (serverbacked to the top or parameters of resource system IPC too weak or too overload the machine...).

  What happens in this case?

  the request message is ignored by Smoking and Tuxedo sends an error message to the sender of the request?

  or Tuxedo place the message on another queue of the CPI of the same type?

  Hi Max,.

  The message is discarded and the sender may or may not get an error message which is the sender.  If it is a request then the request timeout message and the caller you will get an error.  However if there is a response message then the message will simply be abandoned because there is no way to tell the server that sent the response that the message has not been delivered.  Usually, this is caused by the IPC resources being set too low, even if it could be because a server is severely backed up.

• Removal of documents in the print queue - error message

  I'm unable to remove a document from the print queue - the status of a document is "deleting - error - printing".  Subsequent print jobs do not print due to this error.  If I select 'cancel all documents' all other jobs are deleted, but it is still there.  I chose this & tried to cancel it, but I get a message "Error processing command" at the bottom.

• printer does not print. the connections are fine. onw document in the print queue will not be deleted. Need help, please no error messages given

  I checked the print queue.  I tried to delete the document does not have several times without success.  There is no error message given.  The printer is just the print requests in the queue with answer oout.  Nothing will get the printer to answer.  Help, please.

  Try this procedure (Note: you must be an administrator to do so):

  1. click on the Start button.

  2. right click "My computer" on the left side, then select 'manage '.

  3. click on "Continue" to popup security message that appears.

  4. in the middle pane of the window that opens, double click on "Services and Applications".

  5. double-click on 'Services '.

  6 scroll to find "print spooler".

  7. right click and select 'Restart' (Note: make sure that you have not opened during this operation the printer print queue window).

  You should now be able to delete the print job (or it may have been deleted automatically).

• I recently started getting the message "error - blocked site" on some sites that use to work. Can anyone suggest why this might be, please?

  I don't have the same problem if you are using Opera as a browser, however, I am aware that ISPS have blocked some sites in the United Kingdom due to a decision of the Court and wonder if it is the cause. The message only started to appear since I read about this decision. Is there a list somewhere that shows which sites are legally blocked in the United Kingdom? I can then excluded of this in or out as the cause.

  Hi Deb,

  You get the error message indicates that the server is dead before it has finished initializing. There should be a core file (although depending on your system, you may need to set some parameters for producing base files). You can then use dbx on the base file. Alternatively you can manually start your server in dbx that you already have the command line Tuxedo uses to start the server, i.e.,.

  In addition, it is generally a very bad idea to have thanks to the value 0 because it will allow your server to be restarted an unlimited number of times.   Hello

  Basically the error message tells you that Tuxedo tried to commit the transaction and had an error XAER_RMFAIL from the database. Smoking would have then tried to xa_open() again to re-establish the connection to the database on your behalf and retried the xa_commit(), that is why the message is just a warning. Even if you do not post the entire message ULOG (which is useful to do), my guess is that you got a TMS process in the group. Tuxedo is the xa_commit() in the TMS process, so that they have a separate database connection that the application server. The application server has probably got a XAER_RMFAIL as well when he tried to run the xa_start(), but silently made a xa_open() followed by the xa_start().

  For servers associated with a resource manager, Tuxedo will manage the connection to the resource and re-establish the connection in case of failure.

  So in your case, there is nothing to 'fix '. :-)

  I have a C++ on Tuxedo 8.1 application (patch level 343). Recently, I found that the application is suspended for a particular object and crashed after a while. After reviewing the log ULOG folder, I found the following exception message:
