CMOS Date/time not Set__CMOS Settings Wrong

Hello

I use Windows XP and Vista.

When I turn on my computer, it displays the error message:

CMOS Date/time not set

Fault of CMOS settings

How could I solve this problem without changing the motherboard?

Replace the CMOS battery. It's cheap (~ $5.00) and easy. After replacing the battery, you will need to go into the BIOS to set the date and time.

    Hi, sorry for my bad English, I'm Italian!

    I have a problem with my new L40-17 s. yesterday I took off the battery becase now I use Notepad only at home;
    Today I turned on (with AC adaptor..) and the bios tell me this time is not correct.
    In my view, because there is not a battery of the bios? What should I do?

    Thanks in advance, Matteo

    Well, looks like the RTC battery is empty.
    You must recharge the battery of RTC (BIOS). In this case, you should read your user manual because you will find the right explanation.

    Usually, you must insert the battery and connect the AC adapter to the laptop. The battery RTC the laptop must be connected and running for about 14 to 20 hours. But all the details are in the manual of the user as on my laptop.

  • HP DV7-4050ea: Date & only time not updated DV7-4050ea

    I have a HP Pavillion DV7-4050ea. Whenever I restart the computer, the date time not not to date. I changed the battery (CR2032) without result. Is this what can I do to make sure of the correct date and time of updates every time I restart the computer.

    Hello

    Try to manually set the date/time of the bios again.

    You should see that the first field highlighted is the time value - set this to the correct time by using f5 and f6 (f5 will reduce the number & f6 it will increase).  When it is correct, press ENTER to highlight the Minute field and again, use f5 & f6 to set the correct minutes.

    When finished, press the arrow down to select the first Date field.  This should be for the month, so using f5 & f6 to enter the correct value.

    Press Enter to highlight the field day and this, and then press ENTER to highlight the year field and then set this.

    If you are happy with the settings of Date and time, press f10 and press ENTER to save the settings and exit the bios.

    Let windows load completely.  If the Date and time correct does not appear, go to the control panel and set the Date and time correct here.

    Restart computer and check if this has fixed the problem.

  • Date/time format not work server

    Hello

    I guess there is a lot of excitement with the recent release of Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 and I like many others have chosen this way to upgrade

    My problem - I don't seem to be able to use dynamic data successfully selectable formatting in CS3 (not fully) some of the formats as currency and number work very well formatted...

    Function DoDateTime (str, nNamedFormat, nLCID) function code is not transferred on the web page, with that I work or is the dynamic element encapsulated when I select a Date/time format.

    After having spent the last 6 months, build a planning (ASP VBScript Application) I came across many issues locale date, date of shaped and calculations etc. but for the life of me, I can't give a sense questions that I now have.

    I realized this problem on my two desktop Vista and XP - new own websites (for testing)
    I might add CS2 not presented no problems in this area - which indicates the problem persists with cs3 (Bug?)

    I would be very grateful for any input or advice help...

    Well Yes...

    ASPvb script

    Thanks for the control of Mr Adobe - it seems that someone in the development of the production misnamed the file source DateTime in the Formats.xml file.

    The formats.xml file is a reference to the source file as DateTime Date/time NOT

    Remove the slash in the file reference name and everything works fine...

    See the path of file-
    C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Dreamweaver CS3\configuration\ServerFormats\ASP_Vbs\Formats.xml

    Now to return to developing countries... What Date/time/Frustration!

  • Count down to a specific time (not midnight)

    Hello all;

    I quickly do a countdown to a Web site that account down to a specific date & time (not midnight). I need like may 4, 2011, at 09:10.

    I used a tutorial to create a timer that counts down to midnight, but necessary change to the countdown at a time accurate as midnight.

    Here's the code. Can someone help me change the code below. Thank you.

    Tim

    var today: Date = new Date();
    Those of var = today.getFullYear ();
    currentTime var = today.getTime ();

    var targetDate:Date = new Date (currentYear, 1, 12);
    var Date_cible = targetDate.getTime ();
    If (Date_cible < = 0) {}
    gotoAndStop (3);
    }

    var Date_cible = timeLeft - currentTime;
    var s = Math.floor (timeLeft/1000);
    var min = Math.floor (sec/60);
    var h = Math.floor (minutes/60);
    var days = Math.floor (hrs/24);
    sec = String (s % 60);
    If (sec.length < 2) {}
    s = '0' + seconds;
    }
    min = String (min % 60);
    If (min.length < 2) {}
    min = "0" + min;
    }
    h = String (24 hrs %);
    If (hrs.length < 2) {}
    h = "0" + hrs;
    }
    days = String (days);
    var counter: String = days + ":" + h + ":" + min + ":" + seconds;
    time_txt. Text = counter;

    I have not watched the rest of the code, but if you say it works, then all you really need to do is to settle the arguments of Date_cible.

    The constructor for a Date object is...

    Date (year, month, date, hour, minutes, seconds, milliseconds)

    So just fill out the data you need instead of what you have...

  • dc7600 PC CMOS not remember settings after battery failure

    Re: dc7600 Convertible Minitowers, 3 GB of RAM, an 80 GB HARD drive and what looks like a power supply 365 w.

    This PC is not used for several months and is not plugged into the socket to the wire while it is unused. When

    I recently started it again, it will start automatically, without my press the power button. Rather than running

    normally, before starting in Windows, he had a cursor at the top left of a black screen and counted through which

    I guess is the MB of RAM, because he stopped counting when he got about 3000 MB. Two error messages appeared then,

    the Advisor first of all that the system configuration has changed since the last start of the system, or loss of power for the real time

    battery had occurred, and the battery may does not work properly and may need to be replaced. I had to press F1

    to continue.

    The second message begins with the number 163 and advised that the time and date were not set, perhaps because of the loss

    the on-board battery power and say once again the battery may need to be replaced.  I have once again pressed F1 to accept this,

    and then it started and ran normally, allowing me to reset the date and time.

    To try to solve the above problem, I have:

    -install a new CMOS battery (twice, in the first new was doubtful)
    -reset the BIOS to default factory settings (twice), using the F10 BIOS settings, I don't see a rider pass

    on the main map.

    When I leave the PC plugged into the electric network power, after it was closed (quite rightly), it will be

    Start with happiness and function normally without any problem when you press the power button.  However, if I shut the PC down

    and unplug the electric network, when I try to restart, he always goes into RAM, count, error message and

    Date audit/reset process again. The PC works perfectly after this sequence of events.

    So far, the problem persists.  It is obviously not a HARD drive error or the operating system, so are there other things that can be done

    to address the problem, for example. flashing the BIOS, or I'm looking to replace the motherboard?

    Any help you can give me would be appreciated.

    Concerning

    PS

    I leave the PC plugged into the power supply, due to the fact that the power supply in my area is

    subject to spikes, Browns and thunderstorms outs.

  • Date/time is not set

    My laptop has no battery and when I stop and unplug the unit then it start up, he loses date/time settings, how can I solve this?

    Hi Missey420,

    It is unlikely that the problem has something to do with your 'laptop battery.' However, a battery is involved. When you say that your laptop has no battery am I right to assume that you are referring to the large chunky battery which is used to keep the laptop under tension when you are away electric taken froman? And, for power you the laptop, you use constantly power?

    Depending on how old your laptop is in fact the problem "can be caused by a small battery attached to your laptop computer motherboard." It is circular and environ.5 inches across. It is better known under the name of the CMOS battery which allows to keep the date/time and a few other things on a memory chip on the motherboard. Unfortunately, with laptops being so small compared to desktop computers, replacing the CMOS battery is not an easy task unless you know what you're doing - mainly because you have to remove the bottom cover of the laptop and you should know what you're looking for.

    It can be useful holding a machine repair shop and asking them to check the CMOS battery and, if necessary, change it. In an office the whole procedure takes about 5 minutes and can easily be made by a less technical person. However, laptops are so filled with parts it is easy to disconnect something without knowing that you have done it, which causes more problems.

    If the machine is still under warranty then get the PC manufacturer to watch as I have CMOS batteries last in desktop computers for 4 or 5 years without any problem.

    You are wasting time while the computer is turned off? There is a battery n the motherboard than maintaisns t time (and other things) while the computer is turned off. Almost certainly your battery has failed and must be replaced. The batteries are widely available and very little expensive (less 5 $US). They are also quick and easy to replace, but if you are uncomfortable working with your hands inside the computer case, get a friend with more expeirnce to help you.

Apaparently Hotmail is available only through Windows Live (with an address @live.com) so I went back to the original computer and tried to connect to the new address.

    What happens with Vista / Windows / Microsoft / Hotmail?

    In particular, where you connect with "Hotmail" these days if their old browser (Mozilla) does not connect during their emails?

    I do not use these OS and Hotmail (today) to programs is not on my agenda. Can someone give a glimpse at why "Hotmail" on the Mozilla or Internet Explorer has "certificate Expirey date"?

  • Display of blackBerry Smartphones 'sent' date and time, not "received".

    The problem:

    Lisa,

    A low CMOS battery can sometimes various issues, including slow, locking unexplained performance issues as well as others.

    It is quite rare, but the battery is relatively easy to replace, check the manual of your computer/motherboard for replacement details.

    Generally, the battery is a watch battery "CR2032", about the size of a nickel.

    I have yet to see a laptop whose battery is easy to replace...

    Here is a simple test to check if the battery needs to be replaced:

    1. Start the computer in Mode without failure.
    2. Set the date and time.
    3. Stop the machine.
    4. Remove the battery from bit and disconnect the machine from the sector.
    5. Wait at least 24 hours.
    6. Start the computer in Mode without failure.
    7. Check the date and time.
    If the time is incorrect then you are probably dealing with a flat battery from motherboard. You will probably get the machine to replace unless you have good skills in disassembly of electronic components.

    Hello

    I'm wondering using a date/time field. Given that I made some changes in this field, the date picker (down arrow to the right of the field displays a calendar) is no longer available. Everyone has a nail what could be the problem or how I can bring the date picker to that field.

    Hi Maja,

    the date picker widget is active only if the date and time fields data format is set to date.

    Check the settings of fields in the binding tab.
