  I have a brother MFCJ870DW multifunction fax scanner printer.  I want to fax a document directly from my iMAC using the Brother multifunction device.  It is connected to my iMAC in WiFi in my house.  I know its IP address, but I can't get the fax selection to appear anywhere in the preferences of the computer, nor in the PDF button on the print screen.  How can I get the Fax option is available?  Thanks for any help.

  That cannot be avoided.

  Any original page will be faxed a duplex job, the Board of the unit detects only the pages, not their content.

• HP J3680 Fax Windows 8.1

  I can't Fax directly from Windows 8.1 to the fax of a J3680.  I have download and install driver 8.1.

  (1) I can print correctly

  (2) I can copy correctly

  (3) I can Fax manually correctly

  When you try to fax directly... The pop-up window for the distination of come up... I filled information... but fax will not shut down.

  Of course I can print and fax manually... but it is a temporary workaround...

  Any idea on where to find the next?

  Does anyone know if you can scan multiple pages in 1Documents on the D110 HP.   When I have a 2 origianal face, it ends by as two separate jpeg files.  I don't see an option or a way to change the settings to scan multiple pages and have all come out like a doc.

  In the HP Solution Center, select scan a Document.

  Select PDF from the scan shortcuts, ensure the Scan Reaolution is 300 dpi or lower and the option "Preview Scan" is checked.

  Click Scan and use the button Add Pages to scan pages addiotional.

  Once you have finished scanning, click Finish to complete the analytical work.

  Probably the best way to achieve your goal would be to make a photocopy on one side, then analyze the two pages to your computer using the ADF Document (CAD).  The two pages will then be saved in the same file.  When you open the print dialog box select 2 sided.  The output should be a printed page front and back.

  I have an OfficeJet 6700. I need to scan documents of several large double-sided pages and want to use the automatic charger. I see nothing in the software to be able to analyze one side of a pile of pages, return them manually, then analyze the other side, and have the pages in a single document. It seems to me that this would be a fairly routine business need and also an easy enough task for software realize (just put each page second in order - basically the opposite of manually printing on both sides) so it makes me think that I must be missing something. Can anyone help please?

  The 6700 Officejet does not a duplex ADF to allow you to scan a two-sided document. Copy/scanning duplex is supported only in the glass on the model.
  
  I suggest that you are looking to buy a printer Officejet Pro (for example, the Officejet Pro 8600 N911g) If you are looking for the digitization of documents front / back, through the ADF. You can also look for third-party software that supports what you're looking for.

• My HP Officejet-6413 - is unable to fax a Document from the PC

  My PC is Windows 7 64 bit.

  I had to remove and re-install "HP Officejet J6413".

  The HP device is connected through Ethernet LAN House and work correctly for printing and scanning tasks.

  However, entering "Devices and printers", I can see only 'Officeject HP J6400 Series' but not 'HP Officeject J6400 FAX Series', as it was before. (I also have the options of PDF or PCX methoeds)

  In this case, I can't send a fax of a file in my PC.

  How can I 'Add' the 6400 Fax in the list of printers?

  I see that you are having a problem when trying to fax from the computer.

  I suggest that we start by running the HP print and Scan Doctor.  If any software is not present, the doctor will let us know what it is.

  If you sent a fax to the server HPFaxMe and received a response, then the fax system works correctly with the 8600.  Most likely, the problem is with the individual location you are trying to fax.  It could be due to the condition of the line, line, etc. I would advise so try this number to fax again at a later date and try to contact the receiver to make sure that nothing happens to their end.

  As for the speed of descent on an 8600 fax:

  • From the home screen, press the right arrow key
  • Select the Setup menu
  • Select the submenu of Fax
  • Scroll and select advanced fax setup
  • Scroll down to fax speed and set the speed to Slow (9600)
