My HP Officejet-6413 - is unable to fax a Document from the PC

My PC is Windows 7 64 bit.

I had to remove and re-install "HP Officejet J6413".

The HP device is connected through Ethernet LAN House and work correctly for printing and scanning tasks.

However, entering "Devices and printers", I can see only 'Officeject HP J6400 Series' but not 'HP Officeject J6400 FAX Series', as it was before. (I also have the options of PDF or PCX methoeds)

In this case, I can't send a fax of a file in my PC.

How can I 'Add' the 6400 Fax in the list of printers?

I see that you are having a problem when trying to fax from the computer.

I suggest that we start by running the HP print and Scan Doctor.  If any software is not present, the doctor will let us know what it is.

  • HP Officejet want 5740: HP Envy does not print from the photo tray

    All of a sudden the printer refuses to print from the print bed.  I sat down today and photos of 4 x 6 successfully printed iPhoto.  When I went the second impression, it would only print from the paper tray.  All the settings are correct.  The window of the printer poster paper in all trays of correct size.  The printer settings are correct. I tried to restart the computer to reset, but in vain.

    I understand that you are having problems to print from the photo tray. I can help you with this.

    I would like to do a hard reset to see if that will solve the problem.
    Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
    Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector.
    This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

    Here are the steps to print the photos. HP ENVY 5540, 5570 Deskjet and Officejet 5740 - print photo printers.

    If you're still having problems, it may be a damaged printer driver, try the following:

    Fix permissions of the drive on the Mac:

    Close all applications.

    In the Apple menu, click OK, click Applications, and then click utilities.

    Double-click disk utility.

    Highlight your hard drive / partition on the left.

    Click on check and then repair disk permissions.

    Restart the computer...

    Reset the printing system:

    Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer deleted can be re-added later by clicking the sign plus (+) symbol.

    Click on the Apple icon and then click on System Preferences.

    Click on Printers & Scanners.

    Make a right click (or Ctrl + click) in the left white side panel, and then click Reset printing system.

    Click OK to confirm the reset.

    Type the name and the correct password.

    Click OK to reset the printing system.

    Then click on the sign to add the driver, highlight the printer +. (you may need to click the drop down menu to select the name of the printer) Then click the Add button.

    Try another application to see if you have the same results.

    How is the printer connected? (USB, Ethernet, WiFi)

    Currently, I have 2 all in printers connected to my wifi.  Is it possible to open a document on the desktop on my iMac and fax using the built in fax modem or another of my all in printers?

    If the producer of the printer is a driver for OS X that allows faxing then I don't see why not

    Any printer PCL3 as the Officejet Pro 8710, 8720 support only Photos of pritning from a USB (JPEG and BMP), it cannot print the document files such as ir PDF DOCX to a thumbdriver, but only to a computer...

    The HP Envy 5660 only support printing Photos from a device memory too, but only from SD card, there are not any USB port for a USB.

    None of the models above can only print from a computer or a mobile device...

    8730 Officejet Pro which is a postscript printer to print PDF, Word and Powerepoint support files directly from a USB (Latin characters), however it is a commercial product and cost more as such:

    My officejet j4580 all-in-one printer does not print all that I try to print from the internet, or in microsoft word.  I tried to reinstall, but it gets stuck at 94%, and it took almost 3 hours to get to this point.  What can I do?  My operating system is vista from microsoft.

    Here are a couple of things to try.  I would first start by download and run the Diagnostic Print utility.  IF this isn't clear, then try the document on the internet printing problems.

    I see that you are able to print from your iPhone, but impression of your Windows computer 8.1 gives you problems. There could be a problem with the driver of printing or the application you are printing from.

    To check if you are using the correct printer driver, please download and run the print and Scan doctor, it will be probably diagnose and fix the problem you are experiencing. What were the results when you ran the Print and Scan Doctor? (she print or scan, error messages)

    • Please try printing from another application to help isolate the problem.
    • Do you use a local web or e-mail client application-based e-mail account?

    There could be a problem with the Web browser you are using.

    Until all our client machines are XP. However, as XP is no longer available for sale, some newer machines have Windows 7

    The question now is is that when I try to offer assistance remotely (from a xp machine) to a Windows 7 client, I get the following message:
