  Update: no luck with that.  Finally, it is a speedstepping (cannot be the correct name?) and another SEIA (maybe not corret name?) feature in the bios that causes errors when installing Win7.  Who would have thought!  I think that it is associated with the CPU and consumption power settings.
  The question seems to be a video card problem as well.  (drivers have not detected)   Various file system appears to be damaged or having problems.

That did not work. I tried to install it manually, which did not work. I have Windows 7 64 bit on a Dell laptop. I have McAfee Security Center. I tried to disable it, still get not to install the update.
