Colors when printing on printer Epson for Indesign

I'm new to Indesign. I am a photographer that I try to print a brochure for a book in his hand.

My question is about the preparation of photographic images for use in Indesign.

I have JPEGs, RGB files at 300 dpi. I print on an Epson R2000 using a custom paper and a custom ICC profile. In my color management dialog box, I let Indesign handles colors and the profile of the correct printer selected. Output color is RGB Composite. The colors are really off so obviously that I'm doing something wrong. I'm not an expert so much appreciated advice!

You may need to experiment with different settings.  InDesign is not a photographic application itself; as Photoshop is.  InDesign is an application that prints CMYK, RGB No.  Try turning off "Let InDesign choose color" or similar and let the printer determine according to your profiles and color paper choice.

Apart from the mentioned measures check the dates of warranty on the cartridges as shown here.  If they are years of the warranty period, is it possible the cartridges have failed, even though they were new in the box.  Also gently pat dry the printhead on a damp cloth to ensure that there are stripes of color cyan, magenta and yellow.  If there is not a task of strong color on the fabric the cartridges are probably the cause.

The only black test page confirms that the issue is in the printer or cartridges, not with the computer or the drivers.

I can force it to print in black by setting levels of gray to black and print color to grayscale setting turned off.

    Any help much appreciated.

That's what I've done to print must go in advance set to grayscale to BLACK of INK to print black gray set OFF to print in color. Would be nice if HP put the buttons on the print preference to select room black or color screen.

  • Creating a press ready brochure printer spreads for InDesign

Is it possible to create a custom from InDesign page size when I use the printed booklet > print settings > Setup > PPD: generic PostScript printer? I need to be able to focus a 8.5 x 17 printer spread with cultures and funds lost on a sheet 12 x 18 for my digital print provider. Currently, this option is not available, and I can't find a way to create and preserve a sheet 12 x 18, so that I can select a paper size.

The PPD: Selection depending on the device does not allow for any installation at all, and for the installation of the printer generic Postscript, the largest size of printer paper is limited to A3 (11.7 "x 16.54").

See #5 here. You will need the Adobe PDF 9 PPD with Distiller to create custom page formats:

    Hello

You can use the following text in the event of pre-publication of the subform:

    this.border.fill.presence = "invisible";

    and this, in the postPrint:

    this.border.fill.presence = "visible";

  • Delete form fill color when printing the XI player

So I can't go to print something to the work of our desktop computer. I'm trying to print a PDF Online that I have saved on the drive XI and then filled. When I print the PDF once the form is filled, the fields that are blue on silkscreening filled gray, with black typing, as our printer is black and white. The form is hard to read like this in hand, and told us that it is completely unreadable when fax. We have fill in pen in black ink, but obviously, it would be easier to just be able to type it.

Is it possible to place or remove the form fill box? I've looked around on several sites and have not found a solution.

Here is the site of the PDF for reference.

  • problem with the colors when printing to PDF in FM9

    Hello

We have some problems with printing to PDF with FM9 colors.

FM document files eps (1) with a green box and (2) a rectangle created with the tools chart FM, filled with the same values of color green (91/0/60/44)

In FrameMaker both colors is really different, but too bad, in the PDF color (eps) and the rectangle obtained the same correct green color.

OK, him differed in creation, so they were CMYK and RGB, but your printing coming.

    Now in FM 9:

    (1) if I do a "save as PDF" and turn off "convert to CMYK in RGB" resulting PDF is the same from FM8 (correct)

    (2) if I print to PDF via distiller and set job options for "convert all colors to CMYK" resulting rectangle Green is very different from the greenery of the eps.

I tried different options, the best result was "convert all colors to CMYK", the other options just very more ugly.

Does anyone of you know a solution to your problem? The help is very appreciated. I could send examples of files if necessary.

    Thanks in advance.

But we want to use the option to print using the Distiller.

    PIA,

This sentence needs some explanation, I think. Why you want to use the print option?

Using the print option,-you're always going the same route that FrameMaker Win has always been, that uses the postscript RGB driver only Windows. Now with FM9, you have the possibility to get CMYK directly to PDF, as defined, without any color conversion. And it * is * works, as long as you limit your documents CMYK or spot from the FM library.

So, once again: why do you want to use the print option?

On a sidenote: I do not know if I interpret your username correctly, but if you are able to understand German, you will find some tests deep color manufactured FM9 here: http://www.hilfdirselbst.ch/foren/FM_9_und_Farben_in_PDFs___getestet_P387800.html

  • Colors without the name of Illus for InDesign

I advance barrette files Illustrator and InDesign in CC14 yesterday. The Illustrator files imported into InDesign contained spot colors and RGB in them. Yet, when I chose to add all the colors without name in the InDesign palette colors has no charge. I'm not completely familiar with CC14 - CC is now eliminate the colors which are not actually used in the work? In other words, these colors were present in the palette of Illustrator - but not used in the work - and do not show upward in the InDesign file to import. Otherwise, if the color was actually used in the work he would still appear in the InDesign file if it was present in the Illustrator palette. This no longer seems to be the case. Is this true?  The view of the separation in InDesign and Acrobat showed nothing but the CMYK plates. Please notify. Thank you.

If you put a file WITH one spot color in InDesign it will automatically add the spot colors used in the chart in the INDD file. If no tones are added, none is used.

  • Broken color managed printing?

Color of Adobe Lightroom CC 2015.6 printing management (6.6) are broken and Adobe suggests that this is due to a change of Apple in their operating system.  True or false?

    ml https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/multi/Unexpected-Colors-when-Printing-Mac.HT

Yes, printing from 2015.5 CC Photoshop and Lightroom CC 2015.6 on Mac OS for inkjet printers using custom paper profiles causes weird results.

Fortunately I am using older versions of Photoshop and Lightroom where this issue does not arise.

    Windows users are not affected.

Some Mac users have tried with some success in the slope to an earlier version of CC see this report: install older versions of Cloud Creative applications

It is clearly a problem of Adobe and will not be solved until they update Photoshop and Lightroom.

You are unable to print the 'print quality Page' of the façade or do not know how?

  • I'll put up correctly "Photoshop manages color" when Photo printing?

I have a new printer Epson AND 4500 with which I am trying to print a photo and let Photoshop manage color.

I created a new ICC file for Canon Photo Paper Pro paper I use.

In the dialog box "Print" of Photoshop, I chose "Photoshop manages colors" in the menu "Color Handling.

I chose my ICC profile created for paper and she is clearly identified in the menu 'profile of the printer '.

I chose "Normal printing" and "Relative Colorimetry" for the "rendering intent".

    "Black Point Compensation" is checked.

At the top of the dialog box, I clicked 'Print Settings' and it then opens a dialog specific to my new printer Epson AND 4500.  In this dialog box, I chose:

o Type of paper - Premium, glossy Photo paper

    o high - quality

    o color

There is one menu item "Other Options" and I click on that to open another dialog box.  In this box, under "Color Correction", the choices are "Automatic" and "made to measure".  I choose "Custom" and then click on the button "Advanced".  A new dialog box opens that says 'Color management' at the top and allows you to choose one of four options:

    O color controls

    o Photo fix

    o ICM

    o No. color setting

    I chose "CIM".

    I then print the image.

My problem is that in my view, there is absolutely no difference in the colors of the printed image compared to when I print the same photo, but choose "Printer manages colors" in the dropdown menu of Photoshop for 'handling of color.

I'm doing something wrong?  It just surprised (and disappointed) me that I don't see any difference when I let the printer manage colors and when I have Photoshop manage colors using an ICC file I created specific to my new printer and the paper choice.

    Thank you for your help.

    Len Jacobson

No, you should use no color adjustment (which is supposed to be set automatically when the application handles color). By selecting ICM, you have transformed the image twice and mutilated the color.

ICM should be chosen if you let the printer manage color (in which case Photoshop do anything to your color data).

  • Several printers print color when I choose black and white

Here's a strange. Using a 5520 and a 7520, two printers will only print in color, black and white. I made sure I select black and white, and I've updated my drivers. Any ideas? Others use these printers without this issue, then it might be on my end, but I have no idea what it would be.

    Hello @Alex-Tutorme, greetings!

Thank you for joining the HP support forums, I would like to help

I understand that you are having problems when printing in black and white in two of your printers.

We will try to change the printing preferences:

    • Go to control panel - devices and printers - give a Photosmart 7520 (also on Photosmart 5520) right-click and select Printing Preferences.
    • Go to the tab "paper / quality" and make sure that 'Black and white' is selected.
    • Now, click on the 'Advanced' button - check to the option "print in grayscale". Make sure it is turned on. Apply and save the settings.

Please let me know if that solves the problem, or if you need assistance

    See you soon

    Hello

-Did you change on your computer before the show?
-What operating system is installed on your computer?

It seems that there is a problem with the settings of the printer. I suggest to make a few changes in the settings of the printer or contact Epson support.

Also, make sure that you have the latest printer drivers for your printer.
