Built in access calculator keyboard

I have a keyboard with a calculator on the right side of my HP Pavilion dv7. How to use it please? Using Windows 7.

Hi Janet71,

Welcome to the forums. To add to what actually says Banhein, use the keypad as a calculator, if you open the calculator application on your computer. Here's how:

1. click on the start icon in the lower left corner of the screen.

2. click all programsand then click the Accessories folder.

3. in the list of accessories, click Calculator.

A small window with a calculator appears on your screen. With this selected window, you can now use the keypad as you would with a calculator, or you can click on the screen, numbers and symbols. Calculations appear on the screen in the window of the calculator. I hope this helps!

  • Accessibility by keyboard - multiple responses

    Hi all

I am creating a project with a focus on accessibility - one aspect of what is to be able to drive all of the module using the keyboard.

I all aspects, but a job via the keyboard: several correct quiz questions.

For multiple choice questions you can easily tab the relevant radio button and press 'enter' to select it, however, you can do this for questions where there is more than one correct answer.  I can tab the check boxes, but when I hit "enter" nothing happens.  I can't seem to find a way to add a shortcut to this either.

Does anyone have a solution for this?

    TIA!

    Hannah

You can try the SPACEBAR to enable or disable the check? It works normally in most of the applications; I have not tried in Captivate and are not currently on my PC to test.

  • Iconia W700P - need to access bluetooth keyboard during the boot UEFI or need to boot from a USB

Solved a problem, now face two other:

The W700P will now boot from a DVD recovery Acronis TI, but to select the restore function (then the specific restore backup), it requires an entry for a keyboard. The Bluetooth keyboard supplied with the W700P does not work during the boot sequence. I prefer not to go out and buy a USB keyboard, but it is perhaps the only option.

    Or-

The W700P boot from a USB key can stick? I read that this is impossible, but in looking at the Acer store, that's all they offer as recovery media for the W700P. I made a bootable USB key, when I bought the computer first, but I can't seem to start. All I get is repeated boot Acer screens, maybe he's trying different options in the boot order. I tried to change the order, put a password for boot and secure boot off, but I still have the same question.

    Any ideas?

Solved once and for the moment! I now have a USB hub, USB, USB and DVD USB mouse keyboard (powered externally). Throw all these things on the machine, I was able to boot into the Acronis Recovery DVD, go to the menu and reinstall a previous backup of Windows 8.1.

  • Need help to activate the FLVPlayback CS3 keyboard access

How can I activate the keyboard control on a video displayed in the CS3 FLVPlayback component? I've coded work using the FLVPlaybackCaptioning component and a SMIL file. I've added the fix ActionScript to disable closed captioning from the beginning of film. With the help of a mouse, everything works fine. Now, I need to set the control for keyboard accessibility. I've searched and searched and can not know how to do this soon again and using the third-party tool Captionate and component. How can I add keyboard accessibility with these native components of CS3? Help!

Thank you. Search other forums and listen to others with the same question, I came to the conclusion that the shipped FLAPlayback CS3 component does not expose access to keyboard controls; in other words, using Tab and other keys instead of a mouse. So, I built my own component of video playback by using some of the pre-built components and I built myself. Now I have a video player that is really accessible to Section 508.

Hope that in the next version of Flash, Adobe takes accessibility seriously by all accessible components and provides complete documentation for all developers, from beginner to advanced, easily create accessible applications.

  • The mouse doesn't click, keyboard malfunctions

Any help with this issue? Sometimes the mouse not to slam or slider will allow to highlight items in the overview. CTRL + Alt + Del > Task Manager sometimes helps, but not all. The problem is persistent with touchpad and wireless mouse. Often, when the mouse starts working again, he clicks when you use the left button. Keyboard malfunctions sometimes (bad result when press a button - like Ctrl or Fn is held down, but not consistent). The problem is not persistent when you use a peripheral keyboard compared to the built-in the laptop keyboard. Computer will lag a little rarely. These problems started after some recent Windows updates and I started to use a hub of Toshiba with my laptop. Problems occur when it is connected to the hub and when it is not connected to the hub.

Among the frequent errors in my event viewer:

Problem solving requires to determine the problem first.  This combined with your comments on the registry in your combined OP with your having cccleaner is all things related to my talking register corruption.  If you have run any sort of registry cleaner, or attempt any kind of editing the registry, which could possibly, but not necessarily, be at least part of the problem.

You seem to have a lot of abnormal symptoms, so it is obvious that something in the billions of instructions in the windows of the system is not fair.  If after completing all of the things on my list of things, you have these problems, you're either going to have to find another way to find those needles in the billions of possibilities in a haystack or to restore your computer.  I would recommend you back up any data you don't want to not lose because as you often encounter the symptoms worsen over time.  If using the system restore does not work, you could end up having to restore your computer settings according to the instructions in your user guide (which should appear in your Start menu).

When you got your system back as you, I invite you to buy an external hard drive, and a good backup 3rd party program. You can configure it to automatically do everything in time and frequency of your choice. External hard drives 1 TB are about $80 these days and a very good FREE backup program is the Easeus todo backup free that you can download from
http://www.todo-backup.com/products/home/free-backup-software.htm . Who can make you save a lot of time and frustration, the next time something like this happens. Sooner or later, it happens to all computers for one reason or another.

  • Calculator problem

    Hello

I have windows 8 and you have a problem with the built-in Windows calculator.
If I use the scientific view, the button does not work, but it works in standard mode.
    Is this a known issue?
Is there a way I can fix it?
    Any help appreciated.
Sorry didn't know which topic to choose.

    Hi Nick,

The System File Checker tool analyzes the system files and replaces incorrect versions of system files by using the correct versions. To run the System File Checker, you'll need open an elevated command prompt. This can be done:

    • Enter the start screen
    • Press Windows + C keys on your keyboard to show the charms. (If you use a touch screen: touch the right edge of the screen and slide your finger to the center of the screen to display the bar of charms)
    • Click on search
    • Type the command prompt in the search field
    • Click with the right button on command prompt (if you use a touch screen: touch and hold your finger at the command prompt, drag your finger downwards until you see an outline around the tile and finally release your finger on the screen.)
    • Click on run as administrator

    Enter the command: sfc/scannow
Note: If you use a touch screen you can open the touch keyboard for the command prompt by typing on the keyboard icon in your taskbar near the system tray.

    Thank you.

  • Too hidden scripts! Is there another way to access?

There are scripts that I use on a regular basis. Clicking on through Run / Scripts / folder name / name of Script every time it's quite tedious. What is the best way to place scripts elsewhere, or access through keyboard shortcuts?

    Thank you!

While it is true that the scripts inside an action will be lost on reboot, if you can live with only a set of actions that the following will work:

Assign scripts to several actions with "insert the menu item", once done save the action defined in the popup panel.  Went you launch Illustrator, first open a document (the list of scripts and built internally), and then select "replace actions" in the actions drop and select the file that you saved. Your actions will be restored with links to scripts intact.  If you change your actions you will obviously back up again before restarting.  Tested on CS4 and CS6 on Windows Vista/7.

An alternative if you have a Wacom tablet Professional (Intuos) is to assign Menu Popup/Radial/HUD to a button on the stylus, then your scripts on the menu items in this menu, or directly on the the expresskeys on the tablet itself:

' Use the type "hits" and enter ' Alt + F R [first letter of the name of the script] ", for example to run a script called"test.jsx"to the root of the scripts folder, type 'Alt + F R T.  If you have several starting scripts by the same letter, adding the character '&' file name will set the keyboard shortcut letter.  for example you & st .jsx will always display 'test' in the menu of illustrator scripts, but 'Alt + F R S' it will activate. It's for windows, of course, not sure that shortcuts keyboard on Mac.

You can assign the feather keys, the menu and the expresskeys on for each application in the control panel of Wacom, so it can be configured for Illustrator, i.e. my side switch of pen is right/Middle-click in most programs and Popup Menu/space bar (for easy Pan) in Illustrator, and I installed the menus different items for different applications.

  • macOS Sierra installed ok, but the keyboard and mouse freeze after a short use.  Does anyone else have this problem?

I'm running a MBP 17 "(fin 2011) with CPU i7 2.5 GHz, 16 GB of RAM and an SSD 1 TB for storage."

El Capitan has worked well and all updates have been applied.

Sierra (production, not beta) installation went without a hitch.  However, after using Siri and some other applications (which I closed), I opened and used Pages (also just improved).

After about 15 minutes, the bluetooth mouse has frozen, then froze the built-in trackpad and keyboard.

I gave her a few minutes in the case where it is clear.  I have consulted the page document to my iPad and it updated on the MBP display.

Finally he needed a hard reboot with the power button.

I had to restart twice this way, but was running a different application when he stopped on occasion earlier.

    Anyone had this happen?

    Hello crashsite2,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community Support from Apple. I know how it is important to maintain your Mac and run as expected and I want to help you get your keyboard and the mouse works again.

    Hello

I don't see anything malicious here, so there is nothing to worry about. Firefox uses keyboard shortcuts and for various reasons, i.e. web content accessibility features select (copy and paste), zoom in or out, navigate the Web etc. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/accessibility-features-firefox-make-firefox-and-we site
