Computer behaves as I am repeatedly connect and disconnect a usb cable or external device

He repeated the beep you hear when you plug or unplug a usb cable or HDMI cable. When I look at the menu device it flashes right after each beep or ' bump ' sound. It is not random and continuous, like clockwork, every two seconds.

Hi thanks for the reply. I found that I had an SD card in the SD port. After having disconnected and blow the USB drives, the problem has been resolved.

Thank you

You must contact probably two manufacturers (Logitech and false) to try to understand if there are newer versions of drivers and known issues.  They can work with you to resolve this conflict.

A quick look indicates that you'll probably have more luck with Logitech that fake.  :-)

  • Office Jet 4620: Connect wireless printer without USB cable

I have a desktop HP 4620 jet.  He was hanging in my old router.  When I tried to join software router again asked me to use a USB cord.  I do not have a such cord for this printer and want to set using the wireless, but sofeward me continues to send at the option of the cable.  The router is ATT U-verse.  I need step by step instructions on how to connect the wireless printer.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello

HP Auto Wireless automatically sets the printer without connecting it to a USB port, only if your computer is also connected wireless to the network. If your PC does not have wireless connectivity USB cable would be necessary, except if your router supports WPS.

If your PC is connected wireless to the router, restore the pritner as follows:

    1. Click on the WiFi the printer button and select restore network settings, confirm and invites.
    2. Click on the Setup (wrench) and select Tools, then restore the default settings and confirm any command prompt.
    3. Turn the printer off and turn it back on
    4. Open the HP Officejet 4620 software and follow the instructions to connect a wireless printer.

Another option would be the WPS Pin Code or button WPS, if your router supports supported such a, tap the icon on the printer wireless and select WPS or Wireless protected Setup, follow the steps on the screen, press the button of your router or a PIN code, see the documentation for your router to check the capabilities of WPS.

If none apply to your PC printer or yout, use a wireless computer connected or get a USB cable for the installation of hht, so a cable was supplied with the printer.

My Sprint HTC Android mobile phone connects with the USB cable, but the computer says 'No. HTC Device Connected' so I can't sync...

    Hello

    1. do you have HTC Manager installed on the computer?

    2. have you tried it with different USB ports?

You need the HTC Sync HTC phone Manager software.

Method 1: Try again with different USB ports and see if that helps.

Method 2: If HTC Sync is installed, if you get the message "no device connected" in HTC Sync, ensure that your phone USB setting is changed to "Charge Only" to "HTC Sync".

If the methods above do not help, you can contact HTC for additional help.

  • Device connect and disconnect sounds play when NOTHING is connected!

    Hello

I am running Windows Vista x 32 on my Dell Inspiron 1525. The problem is that the device connect sound, immediately followed by the device disconnect sound, playing intermittently even when not a single device is connected. I have already extracted 1 million solutions online, and here's what we can exclude:

    • Still, she does when no devices are connected, so it is not a loose USB device.
    • Does it by chance; I can't predict when the sounds will play, and there is no evidence in the event viewer I can link to this problem.
    • My laptop does not have Bluetooth, so it's not just trying to pick up a network.
    • I've updated all the drivers I can think and who has been recommended by others. They are all to date. I have also each service pack installed.
    • It is a customized, sound scheme so that these sounds are ONLY related to the device plug or unplug, respectively. I even went through all the sounds in the profile just to make sure I didn't accidentally double up.

The only other thing relevant I can offer is that I actually just sitting there waiting for the sounds to play while looking at the Device Manager. I got all the closed lists, and when sound plays, the "network adapters" list opens. Yet once, I checked to make sure that all of these drivers are up to date, but it still plays. Please help, I'm going crazy! Thank you in advance!

BTW, even if I can put up a good show to know what I'm doing with a computer, I'm not that well versed in techno-parler, please dumb down your solutions. Thank you. :-)

    Hello

That description makes it sound like the issue is a network adapter that is enabled - right click either the
Interface NETWORK (wired) or peripheral card WiFi and turn OFF - which ever you use and see if the noise persists?
I look in Device Manager is a good idea.

Is it a PC or a laptop - card integrated or add-on/in? If a PC off ALL power and remove and reinstall
all cards and cables on both ends (in fact, remove and replace - do not just tight). Not much, you can
do this with a laptop, unless WiFi is external but for PC or laptop, you can turn off the edge
WiFi (if she has that) and use an external device.

I hope this helps. Rob - bicycle - Mark Twain said it is good.

  • S10e - loud beep on AC connect and disconnect!

Hi everyone - first post here!

My Lenovo S10e supplied with Suse Linux Enterprise Desktop, and it works now openSUSE 11.1. I love it! But I'm always in the first weeks congested and still working on the kinks. And here's one:

Every time I have connect or disconnect the AC, I get a very loud beep, which is a real nuisance in the library, and even around the House! I'd love to be able to disable the beep, but as far as I can tell it is a level BIOS setting BIOS give no option to adjust.

All the forums I've found offer a solution only for Windows. If there is an update of the BIOS, which makes it possible to disable the beep, I think I wouldn't be able to apply it in any case, since it would be distributed in the form of a windows .exe. But I bought the device with an operating system Linux is preinstalled. Surely, there must be an upgrade of the BIOS that come to us?

    Anyone have any suggestions here?

    Thank you very much!

  • After running System Restore my computer asks for a password when connecting and I don't remember the password.

I am running Vista Home Premium on a laptop Toshiba Satellite L305.  I ran the system restore due to a problem of "Internet Explorer cannot display the website" (by Microsoft troubleshooting guide for this problem) and selected restore point earlier.  Now the computer asks for a password that I don't remember.  I tried all the possible passwords I can think.   There is only a single user account on this computer.  The administrator account should be disabled, it is not an option when connecting safe mode.  I don't have a system repair disc set.   Is it possible to run the system back restore to select a more recent restore point which does not require a password?  Or y at - it another way to connect to the computer?

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/undo-system-restore

If you tried to use the system restore to solve a problem, but the problem remained or other problems were introduced, you can undo the restore operation. After you cancel the system restore, you can try using a different restore point.
