Can you help me?

Thank you

What is your system brand and model?

What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?

Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..

The afflicted system has a CD/DVD drive work?

You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?

If your system has a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD), we need to know what the screen says:

Here's a BSOD example showing information you provide:

http://TechRepublic.com.com/i/tr/downloads/images/bsod_a.jpg

Send for the nose and the Red arrows (3 to 4 lines total).

Send all * line STOP message since there are clues in the 4 parameters.

If it looks like there is some kind of name listed in the STOP message file, send this line also.

Ignore the boring text unless it seems important to you.  We know what a BSOD looks like, we need to know what your BSOD looks like.

While you wait, please do the following to help reduce the possibility of malware:

Perform scans for malware, and then fix any problems:
Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:
Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

Do, or do not. There is no test.

I need YOUR voice and the points for helpful answers and propose responses. I'm saving for a pony!

    Hello

Probably either a (most likely) driver error or faulty memory. First run the internal memory diagnosis (just "type diagnosis memory" in the start/search to start line). If it passes, then we will have to analyze the dump file is created.

If the error messages are compatible - even verbiage and error code, it is more likely to be a driver problem. If they are constantly changing, so the problem is more likely to be a faulty hardware. Start by memory, then maybe a hard drive diagnostic. If they pass, then the next step is exchanging materials well known from the power supply. Since it is a system custom made possible causes would be more difficult to pin down and certainly
material should be highly suspect. Remove ALL power and reinstall all the memory cards and cables
(at both ends) - actually delete and replace - do not just tight.

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

This error is usually a driver problem and display adapter (video) driver is the most suspicious if she
may be others. Antivirus/antispyware/security programs, equipment (heat) and major software problems
can also cause the error. When you get to the section of the driver to use the Troubleshoot utility my generic
methods in the next message and then return to the if necessary troubleshooting tool.

Have you recently added hardware or drivers updated? Don't forget to look in Control Panel - Windows
Updates to see if all drivers have been updated it. Other donor opportunities include the antivirus/anti-
    spyware/security programs.

When you get to the pilot and sections of the memory of the troubleshooter check the following message to
update drivers and memory test and then return to the troubleshooter if necessary.

    BCCode: 7F 0x0000007E which is also 0x1000007E

    Cause

SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED bug control is a very common bug control. TO
interpret, you must identify which exception has been generated.

    Common exception codes are:

    • 0xc0000005: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION indicates a memory access violation has occurred.

For a complete list of exception codes, see the Ntstatus.h file located in theinc directory
the Microsoft Windows Driver Kit (WDK).

    Solve the problem

If you do not have to debug this problem, you must use certain basic troubleshooting techniques.

    • Make sure you have enough disk space.
    • If a driver is identified in the bug check message, disable the driver or check with the
    • Reference of the manufacturer for driver updates.
    • Try changing video cards.
    • Check with your hardware vendor for updates to the BIOS.
    • Disable the BIOS memory options such as implementing caching or shading.

If you plan to debug this problem, you may find it difficult to get a stack trace. Parameter 2
(the address of the exception) must identify the driver or function that caused the problem.

If the exception code 0 x 80000003 occurs, a hard-coded breakpoint or assertion was hit, but the system
has been launched with the /nodebug. switch. This problem should occur infrequently. If it occurs repeatedly,
Make sure that a kernel debugger is connected and the system is booted with the Switch/DEBUG .

In case of exception code 0 x 80000002, the trap frame provides additional information.

If you do not know the specific cause of the exception, consider the following questions:

    • Hardware incompatibility. Make sure all new hardware that is installed is listed in the
    • List of Microsoft Windows Marketplace tested products.
    • Service driver or defective peripheral system. A service driver or defective peripheral system can be
    • responsible for this error. Hardware problems, such as the incompatibilities of the BIOS, memory, conflicts
    • and IRQ conflicts can also generate this error.

If a driver is listed by name in the bug check message, disable or remove that driver. Disable
or remove drivers or services that have been recently added. If the error occurs during startup
sequence and the system partition is formatted with the NTFS file system, you may be able to use safe
Mode to rename or to delete the faulty driver. If the driver is used as part of the system startup procedure
in Safe Mode, you must start the computer by using the Recovery Console to access the file.

If the problem is associated with Win32k.sys, the source of the error may be a third remote
control program. If this software is installed, you can remove the boot of the computer service
by using the Recovery Console, and then by removing the offending system service file.

Check the system log in Event Viewer for additional error messages that might help identify the
device or the driver that generated the bug check 0x7E.

You can also disable memory cache BIOS may try to resolve the error. You should also
Run the diagnostics of material, especially the scanner memory, which provides the manufacturer of the system.
For more information about these procedures, see the manual of your computer.

The error that generates this message may occur after the first reboot during Windows Setup, or
Once the installation is complete. A possible cause of the error is lack of disk space for installation and system
BIOS incompatibilities. For problems during the installation of Windows that are associated with the absence of disc
space, reduce the number of files on the disk drive hard target. Find and delete any temporary
the files that you do not have to have files hidden Internet, backup application and.chkfiles files that
contain fragments of file saved to disk scans. You can also use another hard drive with more drive
free space for the installation. You can solve the problems of BIOS by upgrading the version of the system BIOS.

    Hello g2412,

If he was thrown to the ground before this problem, then it is a possibility.  You may have a repair shop, check the hardware and run provided by your manufacturer diagnostic utilities.

Also, we often see accidents as a result of a program from loading at startup.

To solve these, we use the boot minimum troubleshooting - especially if we can start in safe mode.

  • My computer crashes! -unknown error checking

The computer is a Microsoft Windows XP Professional. It is rather more older (2005) and was not up-to-date or online until a few years ago. (Mainly used for games.) However, it is almost unusable now, because it hangs on a consistent basis.

There are several different problems. The most common one is a random stop that occurs out of the blue. Most of the time it restarts and reports "system has recovered from a serious error." These error reports are different and do not have a common denominator. Sometimes they are corrupt. Other times, the computer is simply blank after the accident. the monitor to fall asleep and the tower still running.

There is also a 'frozen' system that occurs just after the start. He reached the office but does not do so. Sometimes the keyboard and the mouse still work, but I can't click on anything. (I'm usually off manually after these two problems).

I would include all system information I could, but unfortunately I can not turn on the computer for trouble right now. When I turn it on, the screen simply says "VGA status: no Signal input." It is like that for ever until I have turn off manually. (It's happened and I will continue to try to get it started). I tried safe mode; seems to work very well. I tried a clean boot this morning; It starts fine but after I put it in sleep mode, it is dead...

I'm lost as to what is causing all this. This random failure has been occurring regularly for more than a year. Some days it hangs constantly and there are days when it works quite well. I tried every virus program, running the check disk, fragmentation and the installation of each update available. Nothing seems to help or give me a clue as to what is wrong, because when the computer is not crashing, it works perfectly fine!

There are also several non-plug-and-play devices that have a yellow warning sign next to them. They all have the letter K and the other numbers to them, with the exception of a device series. They all give me code 24 (this device is not working properly or is not all its drivers installed, or something like that.)

I would point out that the computer had viruses and Trojan horses on it, but I think they have been removed. I have Microsoft Security Essentials, Malwarebytes, and SuperAntiSpyware on it.

In addition, there is an annoying tendency of balloons popup that warn me that firewall Windows has been disabled. Half the time, I opened the firewall and it is on. The rest of the time I have to manually turn it back on. Any idea what could be the cause?

And regarding "recently installed programs" that could cause this problem of crash, it is impossible, because he does this for years!

Sorry for the length of this. There are a lot of problems with no real information. I wish I could provide more data and I'll try to when the computer is running again, but I don't really know where to start. I hope that's not a failure of the motherboard or something...

I'm very happy for any kind of help!

  • Occasionally, computer crashes and goes to black screen.

Original title: computer crashes, black screen

64-bit Windows.  My computer sometimes freezes.  Screen goes black, trying to restart, give up eventually.  Need to turn it off and restart.  Checked for viruses, registry fixed and whatever other System Mechanic, CC Cleaner and Windows tools can check.  What could be the problem?

Try to repair your system using the system recovery options. You can access this option by continuously pressing F8 just after the start of your system and choose the advanced startup options.

Try to repair your system at least 3 to 4 times. In addition, you will also need to check and make sure that you have all the drivers updated and the system is free from malicious trojan software.

Alternatively, you can also find the solution posted here:

  • My computer crashed and it restarted I asked me to refresh Firefox. I have now lost all my favorites etc. There is no 'old Firefox data' folder - help!

My computer crashed (blue screen) and when it restarted a box came asking me to update Firefox. I clicked on OK (thought he was just trying to restore the session) and I have now lost all my favorites, passwords registered etc. There is no 'old Firefox data' folder anywhere on my system - help! is there a way I can get it all back without doing a system restore? I am running Windows 7.

Hi, you can try it for only bookmarks: first open the bookmarks > show all bookmarks > import and backup > restore and see if you have a backup there.

If not and the other favorites, please see.

If your question is resolved by this or another answer, please take a minute to let us know. Thank you.

    Hello

Two main causes of this blue screen video drivers and BIOS - check with system manufacturer site for
View of the adapter (video) and BIOS, then on site of the manufacturer of the device for the last video. There may be other drivers
in order to check there. DISABLE the auto-pilot plant as those who are older and if updates Windows suggests
a pilot just HIDE. Antivirus is another possibility.

See methods of update driver generic in the next message.

    Cause

Bug KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED control is a very common bug control. To interpret it, you must identify which exception has been generated.

    Common exception codes are:

    • 0xc0000005: STATUS_ACCESS_VIOLATION indicates that a memory access violation has occurred.

    Solve the problem

If you do not have to debug this problem, you must use certain basic troubleshooting techniques:

    • Make sure you have enough disk space.
    • If a driver is identified in the bug check message, disable the driver or check with the manufacturer for driver updates.
    • Try changing video cards.
    • Check with your hardware vendor for updates to the BIOS.
    • Disable the BIOS memory options such as implementing caching or shading.

If you plan to debug this problem, you may find it difficult to get a stack trace. Parameter 2 (the address of the exception) should identify the driver or function that caused the problem.

If you do not know the specific cause of the exception, consider the following:

    • Hardware incompatibility. Ensure that all new equipment installed is listed in the list of the products tested Microsoft Windows market.
    • Service driver or defective peripheral system. A chauffeur service or defective peripheral system could be responsible for this error. The hardware problems, such as BIOS incompatibilities, conflicts of memory and IRQ conflicts can also generate this error.

If the verification of the message bug list a driver by name, disable or remove that driver. In addition, disable or remove drivers or services that have been recently added. If the error occurs during the startup sequence and the system partition is formatted with the NTFS file system, you may be able to use Safe Mode to rename or to delete the faulty driver. If the driver is used as part of the start-up procedure of the system Safe Mode, you must start the computer by using the Recovery Console to access the file.

If the problem is associated with Win32k.sys, the source of the error may be a third-party remote control program. If this software is installed, you can remove the system startup service using the recovery and then Console by removing the offending system service file.

Check the system log in Event Viewer for additional error messages that might help identify the device or driver responsible for control of bug 0x1E. You can disable the cache in memory of the BIOS to try to resolve the error. You must also run the diagnostics of material, especially the scanner memory, which provides the manufacturer of the system. For more information about these procedures, see the manual of your computer.

The error that generates this message may occur after the first reboot during Windows Setup, or after installation is complete. A possible cause of the error is lack of disk space for installation and the system BIOS incompatibilities. For any problems during the installation of Windows that are associated with lack of disk space, reduce the number of files on the hard disk drive target. Search and delete temporary files that you do not have to have, files hidden Internet, application backup files and files saved .chk , which contain fragments of files on disk scans. You can also use an another hard disk drive with more free space for the installation.

You can solve the problems of BIOS by upgrading the version of the system BIOS

Look in the Event Viewer to see if something is reported on those.

  • Help? Computer stops, managed Kernel_Mode_Exception_Not blue screen error message

My computer shuts down when I start it in the morning. I get the following error message KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT HANDLED with 0x10000008e and 0x5dd2952d error code and driver-induced Win32k.sys can someone please help? I tried restoring it does not work. I checked the memory without errors. Only checked the material no error. I have not recently installed the new drivers. What is a Microsoft update that is causing the problem?

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello

Thank you for writing to Microsoft Communities. I understand how it could be frustrating when things do not work as expected. Please, I beg you, don't worry I'll try my best to resolve the issue.

    1. are you able to boot into Normal mode?

I suggest to follow the steps provided and check if it helps.

    Method 1:

Step 1: I suggest to disconnect all external devices other than the keyboard and mouse, then check if you receive the same error.

If you receive, I suggest you follow step 2.

    Method 2:

Step 1: Try to start the computer in safe mode and check if the same problem occurs:
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

Step 2: If the issue does not exist in Mode safe mode then try to put your computer in a clean boot state.

By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

Note: After the troubleshooting steps, see step 3 of the binding of boot is a way of putting your computer to normal startup mode.

Method 3: Also, try the steps in the following Microsoft article and check if it helps.

Hello, I recently built a computer and installed all the software, drivers and updates of windows that I needed. Go and try to play games, I can play for a little bit. Then my computer crashes or I get BSOD with the error Stop: 0x000000F4. Generally before that happens, Skype will plant give me a message that says "error disk i/o" If that helps. How can I fix this problem so that this error does not happen again? It happened several times. I tried to reinstall the CMOS battery on the motherboard. I have the latest firmware of my SSD and drivers for my card mother and graphics card. My specs are:

    Hello

To help you, we will need files DMP to analyze what exactly happened at the time of the accident, etc.

If you don't know where the DMP files, here's how to get to them:
    1. go to the Windows\Minidump folder.
2 copy all the DMP files in the Minidump folder on your desktop and zip then those files.
3 download the zip containing the files DMP to Skydrive or a Web hosting of your choice and paste in your answer.

If you plan to use Skydrive, but do not know how to download it, please see the following:
    http://www.WikiHow.com/use-SkyDrive

Please note that all "cleaner" such as TuneUp Utilities, CCleaner, etc., default will remove files DMP when using because of their place too.

If your computer doesn't generate DMP files, follow these steps:

    1. start > type systemroot which should show the Windows folder, click it. Once inside this folder, make sure there is a Minidump folder created. If not, CTRL-SHIFT-N to create a new folder and name it Minidump.

    2. Windows key + key Pause. This should appear in the system. Click Advanced on the left system settings > advanced > performance > settings > advanced > make sure there is a check mark for "manage automatically the size of pagefile for all readers."

    3. Windows key + key Pause. This should appear in the system. Click Advanced on the left system settings > advanced > startup and Recovery > settings > failure > ensure there is a check mark next to "Write an event to the system log" > make sure that "automatically reboot" is unchecked.

Ensure that the partial memory image is turned on and make sure the path is % SystemRoot%\Minidump.

    4. check that the viewers is ENABLED:

Start > Search > type services.msc > on the name tab, search for Windows Error Reporting Service > if the service status is not started, then right-click and select start. Also to ensure that, under Startup Type set to automatic rather than manual. You can do this by right click, select properties and under general selection on 'Automatic' startup type and then click on apply.

If you can not get into normal mode to do this, please do so via Safe Mode.

    Kind regards

    Patrick
