I've had my Satellite Pro A200-PSAE4E for about a year and a half now. He ran very well most of the time, but in recent months he has been stop itself randomly. There is no warning or "Windows is shutting down" he just me using my computer to a blank screen.

The laptop turns off when it is connected to the electric network with & without the battery and when running only on battery, so I excluded all power problem.

I think that the problem of overheating.
The fact is that the laptop would be down automatically stops in order to avoid that the pieces of equipment against damage.
In most cases this problem can be solved very easily. Using a jet of compressed air, you can remove the dust from the cooling modules and fans.
I clean my fans from time to time, because I noticed a higher temperature and the laptop was a little stronger.

Update in Windows and connected to the Internet with a little time on your hands and knowledge.

Open Internet Explorer, go to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ and do CUSTOM scan and determine what updates you need.  Install them.  Reset.  Repeat the visit, CUSTOM and see if updates (one of those that you just installed) back upwards.  Just list those here (KB #)...

  • Satellite A300-1EC cannot load the OS and restart just /shuts down

Can you help me with my problem of A300 PSAG0Elaptop.

    This is the case:
before that I can still use my laptop normally without plugging the power cord but when plug the source ca the unit restarts all of a sudden. I charge the battery only when the unit is off. And now the worst case gets when I installed the recovery disk hoping would solve the problem. I can no longer load the operating system; It's just loading then it does not load and suddenly shuts down and sometimes simply frozen. I have not tried the safe mode, mode ahci, system recovery, system repair, and stil no chance.
I brought this already at the center of ASP service and they demanded almost 1 unit brand new laptop for repair of my laptop is not advisable to send them to repair.
I doubt that my system bios is not compatible with my vista Home premium OS, or perhaps my wife update of the bios that is not compatible in windows update. My current bios I checked is 1.4

Given that I have no option instead of junking my laptop, I want to update or back to the original settings of the bios that can help to repair my device.
Can you help me on how to update or revert to the original my system bios? As I can't access the windows can you teach me step by step using the usb port of my camera on system bios update? Or do you have any suggestions?

    Hey Buddy,

First of all, the BIOS can only be updated Windows System. There is no other version that you can download on the site Web of Toshiba.

But I doubt that this problem is caused by the BIOS. It s I knew not that it is possible to change certain values which make impossible Windows installation. With other words BIOS is secure and with all the settings, it should be possible to install Windows.
An alternative you can press F9 in BIOS to load the default settings. That would be the best option.

But according to your assignment, if Windows installation of recovery disc doesn t work and you are not able to charge the battery while the laptop is turned on it seems to be a hardware malfunction because seriously it has nothing to do with the software.

So either come you into contact with the ASP to get the repaired device or you can repair yourself with original spare parts with parts ASP or second-hand on eBay or similar platforms.
Of course, you can buy a new laptop: in case the motherboard would be defective because the motherboard is very expensive spare part, it would be the best choice in my opinion.

Windows 7 now allows you to change the behavior of the action of the right power button in the start menu. No record no hacks without control panel. Go to the taskbar and start menu properties. Select Start menu tab and you will find the option to change the power button function on. You can change the behavior of power down for

    • Restart
    • Hibernate

The behavior looks like an overheating problem.

By chance, have any of you tried to use canned air to blow out the vents with?

The graphics card and processor are more deeply in the unit. While the events may appear not necessarily immediate sings, there might be dust accumulate more in is not normally visible. • my lap top last 10 minutes and just shuts down what could be the problem

my lap top powers on and works fine for about ten minutes is so stop just to what could be the problem

    Hello

Could be heat related - try using a small fan to blow into the air intakes to see if that helps.
It is just like it loses power or stop it in the normal way? Keep in mind
This associated heat does not always mean too much heat as it is often a part or a component
who is too sensitive to normal levels even heat.

Remove ALL power and reinstall all the memory cards and cables (both ends where possible).
in fact, remove and replace - don't do not just tight. Remove the dust bunnies and clean the
air vents. Check that fans are working (before and after opening the case). When your laptop on all the
You can do is to reinstall the memory and clean the vents (still may try to add a small fan as a
    test).

This sounds like material so if the above does not help you then probably need help
a real computer store (not the leeks and the glances at a Best Buy or other stores) or the
    Support of system Maker.

  • What could cause my computer to shut down when choosing the option to sleep and then a few weeks later turns on at all?

Yesterday, the computer was working, and I shut it down normally (because he will not sleep if I choose anyway). I unplugged everything, including the power cord. He had served during the night. When I plugged everything back up, now it will not turn on. When I plug in the power cord, the Green LED indicates will power (green light in the back near the plug), but when I push the power button on the front, green back light turns off, & the computer does not illuminate.  He acts as something of a power vacuum. I have been stressed for 3 weeks trying to figure why he would not sleep, it seems now he can sleep forever!  Help, please!  It is a HP Vista computer & about 4 years old. I have never had any problems with it so far. Any help is greatly appreciated!  Thank you.

    Hello

No saving necessary data and re-installing Windows Vista might be the best option, but here
    are a few others.

You can save your files by putting the drive in another computer as a 2nd disk (best) or external
Drive USB enclosure and then backup to removable media such as CD, DVD or other USB drives.
Of course a real store of the computer or the manufacturer of your system can help to recover the files.

Or you can use a boot Ubuntu CD to back up data.

Use Ubuntu Live CD to backup files from your Windows computer dead

    --------------------------------------------------------------

You can access Mode safe? Repeatedly press F8 as you start? If yes you can try Control Panel - device
Manager - graphics card - Double click on - driver tab - click on UPDATE driver - then right click
on devices and UNINSTALL - REBOOT.

A method to try to get to the desktop (try in normal Windows Mode without failure) is CTRL +.
ALT + DELETE - Manager tasks and tab process EXPLORER.exe and COMPLETE the PROCESS on this subject - and then
on the Applications tab - lower right - new task - type in EXPLORER.exe. Safe mode is available by
repeatedly tapping F8 as you start. CTRL + SHIFT + ESC also begins the Task Manager.

First check this thread in case it is simple and if not to come back to this thread.

Black screen problems are extremely difficult to repair and all patch is usually on a base hit or miss.
That there is no information on a black screen as it is on a blue screen just adds to the

The computer is only about a year with Windows 7. Anyone have any ideas?

    Hello

    ·         You get an error message or code?

I would say lets you check in the Event Viewer log and check for defective module that is causing the problem:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/what-information-appears-in-event-logs-Event-Viewer

As you have already restored the computer to the factory settings, this problem could be related to the hardware store. I suggest to check in for all devices Device Manager and also check the RAM.

I suggest you contact the manufacturer for the unwanted material.
