• Upgrade laptop XP on the new home network. Shared for laptop drives. Now computer laptop poster not the zip drives that I plug into the USB ports.

  I have a xp desktop machine, an external hard drive, computer laptop xp and a computer laptop win7 on a network home via my Lynksys wireless router.  My friend attached external desktop.  Then shared these discs on the network.  He shared them as drives E and F.  I can access these drives very well.  The problem is that on the computer laptop xp now when I click on my computer if there is no zip drives or anything else connected to the computer laptop USB ports it does not show them.  If I go into Device Manager, it shows the mass storage device connected here.

  Another thing.  If external that are shared and the desktop machine is turned off the coast, I can click the icon to the desktop and it displays the zip drive, that I plugged.  It's like I need to rename or remap something?

  When you plugin your USB device, just follow the following process:

  Rigth click my computer-> manage-> disk management.

  You will find your hard drive, cd and USB dirve listed player, you can do a right click on the drive letter and click on modify.

Other 2 update, I installed correctly. Netframework HP and hp connection manager. But always in mobility does Center no wireless option. When I try 2 add my pc cannot discover any device, even if I turned on my nokia phone. Since my phone when I search pair a device he discovered "userpc" but I can't pair because my pc not response. I've updated bias f33. 8 Atheros wifi lan works fine. In the hp connection manager it say wireless disabled by the mobility Center. LAN not connected.why and Bluetooth on my pc can not discover any device. In bluetooth setting I make it discoverable to my pc to any other device and connect to other device.for this problem I posted several but no response. Please help me.

  My problem is not yet solved. It my last post. I think that the note have a hardware problem or a software problem. I have read all the post on board and realize that all hp products have same problem.it was a big mistake to buy this laptop. But this was a great lesson not to me only, but who faced the same problem. GOOD BY HP.

  I understand that even if your Bluetooth device is connected and the song shows as not playing in the dialog box, you have no sound from speakers. Everything by doing some research, I found this document which may help. How Stream songs from phone to computer via Bluetooth. The device you're using may not be a phone, but the steps may help. Please let me know what worked for you, if the problem is resolved.

  What router are you using? You can turn off proxy DNS? If this is not
  possible, you should be able to get the IP addresses of the DNS servers of your ISP
  and configure those statically. The use of routers IP means that the router is
  Proxy DNS. Looks like proxy DNS does not work.

  You can try to start in safe mode.
  This will automatically use the admin account.
  If it would work then you could create a new user account and could use this new login account.

  My Inspiron 1720 laptop recently stopped to show the screen... When I start the laptop I do not know what happenning, if it's boot or not... the only thing I see that the power led lights up the HDD led flashes and then nothing happens (i.e. no drive activity HARD even when I press any key)... the only option I have is to turn it off in now the power button for 8 sec.

  Before that my laptop was working fine just when I accidentally pressed and the screen has gone... so I closed the laptop by pressing the power button for 8 sec... now its in the condition as described above... pls reply as soon as possible.

  I had the problem with the speakers being not recognised by Windows 7 and the solution that worked for me was to go to start: System: Device Manager: sound, video and game controllers: from there, right-click on your High Definition Audio (or whatever your audio) and select update.  Worked immediately for me and not too early to watch videos with my son before bedtime :)
