Computer laptop Windows 8 draining the battery once completely shutdown or Hibernate

I recently bought the Hp DV6 Envy laptop 7210tx with built in Windows 8. Everything works fine, but when I shutdown or Hibernate this machine its battery drains almost 1.5%/hr. So in one night, it is almost 15% down. I have disabled all wake-up settings and also disabled option "Quick start" but always without success. Please help me solve this problem.

BIOS update solved my problem.

Hey, I just realized I can run my laptop with no battery that is good to increase the battery life that I read on various Web sites, although battery HP leave a huge hole and I was wondering if its safe to put the laptop on my lap, could touch the connector of the battery (metal thing) electrify me or something?

    Thanks in advance!

Contacts work pretty well as any other device that accepts batteries-cameras, phones, radios, etc. Contacts receive energy from the energy of battery output, not. Put on your lap has higher risk of blocking the vents and causing overheating as the danger of the contacts.

I use my MacBook Air as a desktop computer. Should I leave the charger plugged all the time or should I drain the battery and then recharge? What is the best for the battery?

Keep the computer plugged in whenever possible.

If you keep the computer always connected, make sure that at least twice a month

Run it on battery until battery charge level falls to about 40-50%.

Please don't completely discharge the battery. Discharge the battery completely will reduce wear and tear on the battery.

"The question is often asked:" should I disconnect my laptop from the mains when not in service? Under normal circumstances it should not be necessary because as soon as the lithium-ion battery is full, a properly functioning charger will stop the load and load the pad will only engage when the battery voltage drops to a low level. Most of the users do not remove AC power, and this practice is safe. »

  • (Redirected) Reference DELL 5547 Fan starts while that closed down and drains the battery at 0%, especially may not wake from sleep

    Hello

When I turn off my laptop the fan starts to spin then and during a night, it drains the battery from 100% to 0. I also have some problems of marketing. If the computer is in sleep mode itself or by me, I can't wake up, need button for 10 seconds and then push again and it starts. When turned on, it works perfectly but has these problems. I read somewhere that the resolution of these problems has been to remove the software intel from my computer and I did. It helped but 2 days computer started having these problems again. My system is Windows 7 64 bit. This problem started after that I have somehow left fully charged computer asleep on the charger for about 2 hours. When I came back fan was spinning and the right side of the laptop was hot. Again, battery life is great and computer has no defects during the work (all tests by dell are passed). What can you suggest me to do?

As you have a laptop, better make this laptop in the computer Forum post here:

  • Can we keep the laptop plugged even after the battery is fully charged?

When my battery is fully charged, is it acceptable to continue using the charging or is it better to unplug? My friends have different opinions on this topic and one of them said to me that if I continue to load while it is fully charged, it quality will be reduced or something. Is this really possible?

    Hello

The best information comes from the machine system.

Batteries and loads in portable computers today are designed to stay in the computer
available to use and reload. The system more now have an automatic release of configuration which
will drain the battery a bit then are. That helps keep the battery refreshed
If the battery has more power and lasts longer.

  • Dv7-3165dx notebook computer unexpectedly shuts off when the battery is low

Dv7-3165dx notebook computer unexpectedly shuts off when the battery is low. Even at 17%.

This gets really annoying, that I keep losing jobs! Before it used to give me a warning and then Hibernate. Now there is no warning and it turns off without saving anything.

    Help!

The laptop is a year old.

I already ran the diagonsitic battery and it said the battery was good.

OK, I think I finally figured it by changing power options, and I think that the way you reset the battery also helped.

    Here are the parameters:

reserve battery level (this is when the popup will appear).

    10%

low battery (this is when the low battery action will be performed).

    8%

critical battery level (my computer would die at this point.)

    7%

low battery action: sleep, sleep (this customize to your liking).

battery low notification: on (hold on).

critical battery action: sleep, sleep (my computer died already in criticism.)

  • Mail application drains the battery on the iphone 6 (iOS 9.2)

    Hello

Since the 9.2 update my apple mail app drains the battery really fast. It has 3 accounts (outlook, apple, imap) and tried to extract emails not to push but did not help. When I check in the menu of the battery in the last mail 24 hours with 2 min on screen + 2 min backgroud used 17% (this is equivalent to Facebook 28 min 45 min phone used only 9% or + 22 min back). I tried other email applications, but for me, this one is pretty good and does not want to use another app for something I already have. Is there any solution for this or should I wait for an update of the software?

    Thank you

Have you tried force reboot the phone by holding down the button sleep and home for 10 seconds, until the Apple logo comes back again?

You won't lose data, but it can cure some problems after installing new software.

For some users, deleting the mail account and adding back once the phone reboots worked, especially when you use an exchange account.

  • Can not register opimize: when I start computer, a window opens opimize the registry failed

When I start computer a window opens opimize the registry failed

    Hi Harry,.

Looks like you have some program registry installed and programmed to run at startup, which does not work.  I suggest we identify and remove the boot and then remove it totally from the system (uninstall).  Registry modification programs are generally risky, rarely do much good, can cause great harm and are not really necessary as Windows does a good job of managing the registry on its own.

Try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.  If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem.   Follow the procedures described in the article.  Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall.  Once don't forget to reset your operating system to normal status, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.

Start in safe mode with network and see if the problem is here.  A result allows us to narrow down the search for the cause.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Computer laptop Windows XP do not hibernate / hold

Recently, I restored my computer to a previous checkpoint because he was very slow and I knew it was an easy way to solve the problem.  However, several problems have emerged from this system restore.  One, when my computer restarted, it went for the classic theme and appearance of the window I couldn't change it.  I patiently sifted through forums and finally understood how to rekindle the theme xp with a little work and it still needs to be reset occasionally when it is restarted. Two, my computer goes to sleep but do not hibernate.  Therefore, the computer is low on battery power in the standby mode and I lose all my data.  I never had this problem before the system restore.  All my power settings are perfectly defined and it should be in hibernation.  When I put the sleep button for Hibernate to see what was going on, I noticed the problem.  Sinking into the windows form, prepare to Hibernate and then immediately switches to the office or whatever it is I was running at the time.  I tried many ways no programs running when I restarted my computer and Open firefox and thunderbird.  Nothing has worked.  I really need to understand what the problem is that I can't really keep the loss of data or to worry about my computer whenever I put it in sleep mode to run out of battery.  Obviously something is running (maybe a virus?) which prevents my computer from hibernation and depletes the battery in standby mode (which has never been a problem before).

I won't say that a rootkit will not cause a problem with the Hibernate or absence. I will say that I've never seen that happen as a result of malware.

My experience with Hibernate issues have almost always been the result of graphical issues, a bad graphics devices or simply the graphics driver.

    Hello

Temporarily disable the security software on both computers and check if it makes a difference.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/disable-antivirus-software

Note: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats.  In most cases, you should not disable your antivirus software. If you need to disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are connected to the Internet or a network, while your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.
