I have recently installed the latest windows updates and you've probably noticed that I can no longer select multiple items by holding the CTRL key and clicking on the left. This applies to files in Explorer, but also emails in outlook. When I try just hangs for a few seconds, but is unable to select multiple items. Someone else has encountered this or have any suggestions for healing?

  • All accounts are locked (including facial recognition). Clicking on a user comes back to the same screen without ever asking for a password. It's as if all the accounts have been disabled.

  You can try restoring the system as follows:

  After you install updates to windows on November 11, 2015, my system rebooted when prompted to and loaded windows up to the login screen.

  I have 2 accounts of users set up. A as an administrator and as a user with limited rights.

  I also have 6 machines which are all set in the same place that received updates.

  6 ALL now act in the same way.

  After selection of the user, users icons disappear just but normally at this point the password box comes upward, but after the update, the screen goes back only to the icons to logon.

  I tried safe mode, safe mode with networking, safe mode with command prompt and the ability to load the last known good configuration, but ALL have the same result, back in the log on screen.

  I use a VPN client mobile net movement, but I called the support for the net movement and they indicated that this is not a problem of netmo.

  I tried the default bios settings also.

  I don't have any ISO on USB, they are mobile units with no DVD. So I can't do a restore from the DVD system but could flash player if I had a.

  I have Windows 7 Home Premium installed on my Dell Inspiron desktop computer. The other day, I installed a few important updates from Windows Update. Finally, I would like to get to the windows logo screen where the logo moves. The logo suddenly freezes and stays that way. I started in safe mode, and he says that recent updates have not succeeded and it was back the changes. I'm still not able to log in. I can boot the system in safe mode, but it does not recognize my mouse and my keyboard to use. I can not even find my OS drive to use. I am very frustrated.   You can probably fix this by using the system restore. Here we go:
  1. keep tapping F8 during the first phase of startup.
  2. select Repair from the menu.

  Instead of re - install Windows, why not try using the boot minimum process to refine and isolate what is causing the slowness of the system, be it a program or a service.

  Here is a link to troubleshooting with the boot process.  Try step 1, and then see if you encounter the problem, otherwise go to step 2 and so on and so forth until the issue is isolated when it is isolated post causing the hang up in the forum and we you search with you.

  After the diagnosis is made, please make sure to follow step 7 in the boot process to ensure that you have your system booted to a Normal State.

• Home PC will not boot Windows Vista after updating sound card drivers.

  Okay, so I built a brand new pc last night. A worked like a charm, perfectly executed and all. Installed a new sound card, opened it and a few minutes put in my computer, install the drivers and had it works perfectly. Windows loaded perfectly, no problem at all anywhere. Then I'll update the drivers for the sound card, a large download but he finished. He was trying to install the drivers, then while he was, I've been on google chrome on facebook and then randomly, I lost the internet connection. My receiver wifi for my computer was fine and turned on and running great, but for some reason any my computer does not pick up a signal even if all my other devices don't. When the drivers have been installed and the updates are finished, I rebooted my computer.

  Problems from there. I turned the computer back and tried to boot windows, but computer science got to the vista loading screen and then resets. He made several times. So I tried to boot into the last known good configuration.   The model of your system is not compatible with W10. I advise you to stay with W7/W8.1 unless you want to try your luck with W10.

• First elements monitor window broken after updates

  I recently installed Adobe several "updates" but am still under first elements v10 (on Win 7 64-bit).  Now the application refuses to update the monitor display window. Also, the display of the preview window seems to be broken. When the "reading" of the film, the timeline pointer moves and audio, but the video display is static.

  I can move the pointer of the timeline to a specific point and click in the monitor window and it will display a static image that reflects exactly the point in the timeline panel, but will not update with playback.  I can manually move the pointer of the chronology and the monitor display will be updated, but only within the same "clip" that the monitor has been activated in. Moving an adjacent clip or still picture and the screen does not refresh.  Does anyone have an idea what has broken or how to fix it?  Frustrating after many hours spent editing a feature film before the 'update '.
