  One of our customer running Oracle Apps 11i (11.5.10.2) on the Sun O/S layer. Application is implemented on a Sun Server and the database layer is implemented on a TWO node Oracle 10 g RAC.
  
  Now the client wants to know if it is possible to CFP implemented in the current env. If I understand correctly + how to Set Up parallel concurrent processing (CFP) in 11i applications? [388495.1 ID] + at least two nodes of the Application layer are required to implement the CFP. Please confirm.

  Depends on your response above.

  I read it is recommended to use Shared Application Tier file system Shared APPL_TOP for nodes of level Application Multi node for ease of maintenance, patching etc. Don't know how (Local Apps Tier, shared shared Appl or APPL_TOP level file system) to implement.

  If you plan to have a shared file system, use the shared file system.

  But if the requirement is only to PCP then Shared Application Tie File System Shared Appl high maybe not necessary, I guess.

  A way to do it is to clone the application layer to the database server, run adcfgclone and enable the service only of batch processing.

• R12 installation: showing the two node as node of batch processing

• Find the name of the C/Mgr UNIX process

  We have three environments in a HP - UX box (PROD, TEST, DEV). Two of them are on 11i. One of them is now on 12. In the past, in order to determine the concurrent process manager, I grep for fndcpmbr and also grep on the mountpoint. The reason why I grep on the mountpoint is because it shows the Manager simultaneous location of log file, so I can make the difference between PROD, TEST and dev. (each environment is on its own point of editing or file system, for example, /u10, /u11 and /u12)
  
  In version 12, the fndcpmbr of unix processes do not show the log file. So once all the environments on this box on exit 12, how can I determine by ps - ef under unix, Manager of competitor who belong to what environment?
  
  So 11i looks like this:

  And 12 looks like this:

• How can I fix low ram memory?

  MacBook Air (13 inch, early 2015)

  Processor: Intel Core i5 to 1.6 GHz

  My computer is incredibly slow most of the time. Is not an expert in this field, I google and discovered CleanMyMac 3 and downloaded because it had a good rating on CNET. While it has deleted unnecessary files, I can't say that he did a lot with the memory and the slowness of my computer. I have lots of storage. I do not use anything like Photoshop. Usually the most I do is listen to Spotify or Amazon Music (he said would not be a problem one Apple when I bought it).   If not, by default, a time-out occurs if the report takes more than 5 minutes (300 s).

  You can use the suite to check the value:

  SELECT FND_PROFILE. VALUE('CONC_PP_RESPONSE_TIMEOUT') FROM DUAL;

  These 2 profiles options which can be set to control the timeouts:

  Profile option: simultaneous: OPP Response Timeout

  Internal name: CONC_PP_RESPONSE_TIMEOUT

  Description: Specifies the duration that a manager expects OPP meet his demand for post-processing.

  Option profile: Timeout of concurrent processes: OPP

  Internal name: CONC_PP_PROCESS_TIMEOUT

  Description: Specifies the amount of time that the manager expects the OPP to actually process the request.

  The value for the above profile options can be increased to avoid delays.

  In your case:

  If your report takes about 30 min., then set this option of profile to a value > 30 min. (late 1800s), e.g., 2000 or higher.

  Be sure to bounce the conc, Manager.

  Another option is to "optimize" the report (of course, not one seeded, but a copied version) so that it ends ("fast)".< 5="" min.="" if="" your="" opp="" timeout="" is="" 5="">

But, this file may be located in a different location on the database server "/ t01/oracle/diag/rdbms / < sid > / < SID > 1/trace.»

  What is your version of the database?

  If its 11g or higher, you should remove the user_dump_dest of the init file setting according to the note - parameters to initialize database to Oracle E-Business Suite Release 12 (Doc ID 396009.1) and keep only diagnostic_dest.

  Database 11g, trace files must be generated at the location diagnostic_dest.

  To locate the trace file, use the following:

• ESXi 5.5 check if the custom script is running

  I'm working on a solution, as remote custom for ESXi environments.  The only area that I have a problem, is that I need to check if my (running locally on the ESXi host) shutdown script runs in reality or (to avoid running processes in doubles).

  I know that in the ordinary Linux systems I can do things like (ps to the | grep "test.sh" | grep - v 'grep') or (c - stat %X /proc/ pgdump).  This doesn't seem to work on ESXi.

  Recommendations:

  • This must be run locally on the remote site
    • no access to the vCenter Orchestrator
  • No windows
    • The main system that will control the whole process is Debian
  • Do not install any 3rd party on ESXi hosts
  • Do not recommend N.U.T.S or APCUPSD
  • Must be able to check if the script works not the commands in the script
    • The real script runs several commands at different times

  Test configuration:

  1. Create a loop file in /tmp/test.sh

  Ok.  Spend many hours looking for a way to see who "sh" process to run my script, I gave up and continued in the way of what has suggested Alistar.

  Solution: (linux - dirty way to ensure that only one instance of a shell script is running at a time - Stack Overflow)

  Basically, we create a file locking with the PID on the inside.  If the concurrent process give it a shot, they are arrested.  You can also look in the locking file to find the PID, if you want to force the exit, the newspaper, etc...

  For example
