• Configuring PIX Cisco Question - very limited info. Sorry!

  People,

  Have been put to me a quetsion on a Cisco PIX (I don't know what model it is) who I know very very limited. The person asked me the question, is to help someone else! I apologize in advance for the lack of information here, but Im hoping that someone who has expertise in PIX experts will be able to diagnose the problem, or ask the question to the bottom of the chain to address this problem. The question they asked me: -.

  "Can't get NAT works correctly between the demilitarized zone and other ports.

  I know that it is very skectchy, but because I'm not a firewall or security Im not sure what I want or what questions I need to ask. I have however a copy of the config, if someone can help, we'd really appreciate it.

• Dual routers configuration and PIX501 questions?

  This is the current configuration:

  (1) Internet

  (2) the Router 1

  (3) 2 router

  (4) internal network

  and we count on the involvement of the PIX between 1 & 2 or 3 & 4.

  The reason why we have two routers, it is that the new router (Router 1), we bought with the new service uses the NAT address of 66.x.x.x instead of our old router 192.168.x.x, then we run the new line through the old router so that we can always access 3rd party company their router to manage if we're not around. In addition, the company is already configured around the 192 address.

  We do purchase a PIX501, but whether it will be able to replace the old router and represent the 192 network so that we won't have to have 2 routers in most firewall. It will act as a router? or only as a switch?

  You can take security to the next level by deploying the firewall between the perimeter router and your network, from another angle, you can connect the PIX to the internet then to deploy the router between your network and the pix.

• WDS on in general and the 2800 series routers

  declares that the WDS is supported on 'some 2800 models', but cisco feature navigator tells me that it is only supported on the access points cisco; I couldn't find any documentation on the WDS configuration on routers also.

  The 2800 supports a wireless interface card, in which you can configure for WDS.

• Unity 4.0 (5) configured for Unified Messaging

  I have a few questions about Cisco Unity prior to implementation in the field or by creating its own.

  1 - How unity software interact with exchange, does it change the objects or add properties (as it does to A.D.)?

  2 can be put in place for Unified Messaging and to always have its own domain (Windows 2003 standard server) and Exchange 2003 is separated from existing servers?

  3. If Yes, Exchange 2003 must be installed on a separate machine, or can it be installed on the server of the unit itself?

  question No. 1:

  Unit to update or add attributes to AD to be turned on the unit. The attributes are basically hidden. AD and the unity SQL database are exact copies of the directory of the AD.

  Question 2:

  The unit may be in its own field of voice mail only Setup. Unified Messaging doesn't work for this type of installation. In a unique configuration to voicemail, you can install the unit/SQL and mail store everything on a single server for a smaller deployment.   As far as I know, the only thing changed is the Terminal length that I occasionally switches for use with the recording of session with PuTTY, which is

  This router has been in production for months and I don't want to break anything (obviously).  I need to make a change to the configuration of the access-list and wanted to protect me by saying to reload in 4, and then I was probably cancel about 1 minute.  But now I'm worried about it save yes/no question.

  Just save config running and configuration of boot in text files and compare them. Have you enabled all logging on the router?  It may be because of this.

  Just make sure that your configuration register is 0 x 2102. You can see by the show version command

• JOINT-2: Tips for the initial configuration of the network?

  Hello team:

  I was asked to do a very basic configuration of a whole new JOINT-2 on a CAT6500. According to the documentation, once in the Supervisor´s CLI, I run a 'session' command to the location where the METHOD.

  Once, I follow the wizard to add the IP, mask and gateway. Having this configured, the management interface of module´s should be visible from the rest of the network, but I do not see how this happens, because the module must use one of VLAN switch´s and I haven´t found how it is configured.

  Question: how will this link JOINT itself for layer 3 engine switch´s? I don't see how its layer 2 will correspond to any VLAN available in the host LAN switch...

  Any help will be greatly appreciated

  I think what you need to add a command on the 6500 that puts management of JOINT-2 port in a vlan individual.  For example:

  intrusion detection module 9 management access port - vlan 101

  This places the management for the joint-2 card port 9 slot vlan 101.  The host IP that you set on the map of JOINT-2 itself then be valid for that vlan.

• Quiz questions mixed with Drag &amp; Drops - Quiz review issue

  Hello

  Is there a way to show the right answers for a drag and drop exercise if the learner chooses wrong?  My problem is that I have an evaluation with different types of questions (Multiple, Matching and Drag & Drop choice questions).  When the test ends and the click of the learner "Review Quiz", they can view their errors on Multiple choice and matching questions but not answers for fiscal drag-and - d├⌐poser.
  
  I tried to add a failure slide so that when the learner chooses bad, they jump to a slide of failure which shows the good answers/layout for drag / move.  The problem I have is once that the learner reviews the results of question Multiple choice and matching, there is no next button on the last slide of the question, if the review stops right in the middle.

  I was hoping there is a way to let the learner to make two attempts to the drag / move, and once the learner has used all attempts and is always incorrect, the learner can click a button to auto-submit to see the D & D response.

  I use 8 Captivate and my ratings are based on the web so I'm not using an LMS System.

  Interaction in D & D, even if configured as a question slide, has still not all of the features of the normal question slides. If I find a solution to your problem, will post as soon as POSSIBLE.

  I do not know what products you are trying to install and configure, the original question was planning now it sounds like you are deploying financial close management or Account Manager of reconciliation which also require more SOA must be installed.

• What virtual router goes with what configuration

  When close you a configuration creates a virtual router on the host computer, in some cases they are side by side in the list.  But sometimes the virtual router is set up far down the list of the configuration.  My question is how can you know what virtual router goes with what configuration?  I end up having to look at what data store its on and cross-references it with this organization.  Then I look everyone in the configuration for the combination.  Does anyone have a better way to know this?

  Go to the vCenter and choose display "models and virtual machine.

  You should be able to expand the folders to see exactly where each configuration is set up, and routers should be stored with them.

  Don't forget, not to play with stuff from here... it was just suppose to look at the pretty ^_

  I have read this forum for some time and would like to thank employees for the things I have learned here. Although there has been much discussion of configuration, I decided to start this one because I have a few questions that do not apply to others.

  Me and a friend started a small film production company year last in Bucharest, Romania. We made the wedding movies especially, we use DSLRs and the editing of the films made in first CS5 and some experiences in AfterEffects (I can provide a portfolio link if someone trinkets). Up to now, we have used a configuration Athlon x 2 with a GeForce gtx 285 and 6 GB of ram.

  Now, I gathered the money and it is time for the upgrade.

  I7 950

  Gigabyte x58a ud3R

  GTX 470 OC Super 1.28 GB

  dd3 kingmax 4 GB 1333 MHz 3 x

  Power supply: Antec TruePower Quattro 850 W

  Case: Antec three hundred

  Configuration of the hard disk:

  1 drive hard Samsung 320 GB SATA-II 7200 RPM 16 MB SpinPoint F4
  2. hard drive Samsung 1 TB SATA-II 7200 RPM 32 MB Spinpoint F3 PMR
  3. hard drive Samsung 2 TB SATA-II 5400 RPM 32 MB SpinPoint F4 Eco Green

  (1 windows and programs 2 swap, 3 storage project files)

  in 1 or 2 months, we will invest again in this configuration

  my questions are,

  what I can do to improve hard disk Setup? (taking into account the fact that the above configuration is 95% of the funds available)

  for ram memory Corsair DDR3 4096 MB 1600 Mhz CL9 would be about 40 usd additional, useful?

  video card, by 67 usd less I can have a normal asus GTX470, version super overclocked from gigabyte is worth the difference?

  any suggestions for a good CPU cooler?

  1 BUY all the disk hard exctly the same. Then, you will think to do a raid configuration right.

  Absolutely, and if the corsair is the "DOMINATOR MODEL even more." It is the best ram in the market no matter what.

  If you buy a gtx 460 you will get the same result if you do a good overclock. anyway in the end what will be most important is on the order of your cpu.

  I thought for the Foundation on the server b, you need to just "configure database" and choose connect to the previously configured shared services database.

  But my question is what is the configuration that we have 'OracleBIAnalyticsApps.rpd' repository.
  I mean this repository must know the details of the analytical warehouse, how to make this setting.

  When you set up all your connections Pools in the Administration tool, click the Test button to verify that the password is correct. Then save and copy/publish the RPD to your presentation server.

  In addition, if you do not want block accounts, set the default 'number of connection failed try to lock after' Unlimited. You can do this in dbconsole or grid control, or change the default profile limit failed_login_attempts UNLIMITED;

• WAP4410N existing other than Cisco network gateway

  I was wondering if someone can quickly answer my question?

  I am trying to use my WAP4410N to create a wireless bridge to an existing network that does not contain any Cisco kit. After reading the manual, I tried the bridge WDS wireless solution, which is my router wireless D-Link & MAC address, but there is no option to put in network WPA2 key, I guess I misunderstood how this feature works, & maybe it works with other products of Cisco wireless?

  HI Andy,.

  Noramlly that configure you WDS Bridge would need to implement WPA 2 personal option under the wireless part, and then click Security.

  Since the SSID and security must be the same, is that were you would enter information. As to make this set your work with a D-Link wireless router, you'll never miss that probably the question were that this wireless device must support WDS. Even then you might also encounter a question having no match wireless chipsets as well.

  More than likely that this configuration will not work for you. I advise to use an other WAP4410n to establish the connection. Rely on what you are wanting to do a WET200 may also work for you since its just fill a wireless network and only use WDS, but I have never tested this connection with a D-link router so I can't 100% guaranteed if this implementation will work as well or not.
