• In preferences, search option is missing between the general and the content.

  I use Firefox 40.0.3 on OSX and I tried to set the search parameters. When I go into Preferences, I don't see the search catgergory. If I remember correctly there used to be between the general and the content, but it just disappeared. I was wondering if there is a way to recover or if these options have been moved to another location in the new version.

  I can't use it to program certain types of chips using the laptop.
  Main machine can reduce the speed of the usb to 12mbps but the laptop cannot reduce this in the bios

  BIOS of laptop computers is different and it does not support the same functions as BIOS for a desktop PC.
  In the BIOS of the laptop, you cannot change the speed of the USB.

  I just bought the M200 and a large external LCD display. I couldn't set the resolution for my external screen in 1680 x 1050 with display drivers that the M200 came with, so I therefore updated the NVIDIA driver to the most recent available on the NVIDIA site. I'm working, but now I can't change the direction of view through all utilities TOSHIBA - this error (translated from Danish): "the parameter is not supported. Open display in Control Panel settings, change your settings and try to change the meaning of the display again. »

  Now I have three questions:
  1. are these on the improved at all display driver? And if not, then what am I doing wrong?

  2. If it is upgraded, then how will I be able to change the direction of view and have a large external screen?

  3. If this isn't somehow possible (what would make me really sad :(), then how can I reinstall the old driver, without having to reinstall everything? I can't find the driver on any one of the shipped CD.

  As far as I know the driver on laptop is designed and suitable for this unit.

  This is because as the updated driver. Semblance of original driver can not support this resolution.

  In my opinion, if everything works perfectly with NVIDIA driver, which you can change displays using NVIDIA settings. I don't know exactly, but there must be nView Display Mode option.

  If you want to install the Toshiba display driver you can find on Tools & Utilities CD or you can find a last on http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com topic support & downloads. Go to download drivers, and there you can choose the type of product, product and the family series model you have.

  Can someone give me a kind of overview of the differences between the devices of the ASA and 800 series routers (specifically 871)?

  Mainly interested in VPN and security, but everything that can give me an idea of which one fits my scenario is greatly appreciated.

  I have several agencies that I'll set up, a few small (1 WinXP), support (WinXP 5-15, 1-10 VPN), some big (for me) (10-100 WinXP, 10-50 VPN).

  ASA firewalls are certainly faster than the 800 series routers, but for small offices (10 users), it may be not important. I like the ASA 5505 because there a switch 8 ports built-in, while the 871 has a 4 port switch.

  One thing to remember is that, although the ASA has a FEW abilities of routing... it is first a firewall. So, you lose some flexibility by going with an ASA you may have a router. (for example: I don't think that the SAA can be a "router on a stick" with packets routed in & out on the same interface)

  However, on the router 871 with all the features of firewall, to ensure that firewall features are enabled and configured... by default the SAA is a firewall... not to not do anything except plug it in and the firewall features are run automatically.

  That's my opinion anyway

  you don't have to bother.  You cannot reactivate a cs2 non-volume licensed facility.

• Max and LabView can communicate with the device series

  I'm trying to connect a balance Mettler - Toledo JL - 6001 to my computer as an entry for a LabView program through a RS-232 to USB line.

  In MAX, I get sometimes (but not always) the error message "the resource works correctly, but VISA cannot currently access."

  On the general tab for this port, I get the message' VISA returned this camera when searching for resources, and MAX was able to use VISA to analyze the resource name.  The resource was busy, so MAX could not successfully log on VISA to the device. »

  In LabView, the program runs, but I get all zeros as output which is definitely not correct.

  I tried deactivation and activation then the port. I tried making sure that no other program is using the device, and then restarting the computer.

  I'm not sure I have the correct driver installed for this scale (MTT coach), (they do a lot of balances and some pilots and was not sure than to use). I don't know if that makes a difference in MAX.

  A few tips for how to get balance and the MAX to communicate? Also, I know almost nothing about the transfer of digital data / series a response very dumbed down would be greatly appreciated.

• VISA series and the time elapsed in a timeout

  Hi people,

  Still new to LabView, please bear with me...

  I have a VI that is sitting and wait a certain string of characters arrive on the port series, but I need a timeout that is not based on the VISA expiration time.

  I expect a bunch of text via the serial port for ~ 45 seconds, then my input string will compare the matched string and move to the next VI.

  In case of no matching strings, the serial port can continue to send data serially, or may be inactive (no-determinisitic because this test is to see if a computer system started successfully). But once the VI starts, I should have 60 seconds to find the match, or set the bool 'selection' to fail.

  I tried to put my loop of time inside the main loop, outside, with or without SRs, and now I am at a loss. I looked at the VI has highlighted and the serial activity is active the timer has expired for 60 seconds.

  I'm not entirely sure I understand what you are trying to accomplish. However, here are my thoughts:

  1. You have attached the VI waits 60 seconds before checking the serial port for waiting bytes ONCE then read bytes if available and leave immediately. It's because you have while the loop around the elapsed time and it should run completely before moving on to the serial communication loop.
  2. I assume that you have configured the port series and characters of endpoint set, etc. in a main vi
  3. Please try the VI updated seal and let us know if this helps
