confirmation fax image

Hello. I have an officejet j4680. I put the fax is able to print a confirmation page. However, I need it to print the image of the 1st page when it prints the confirmation page. I Googled it and no one has the right answer. I called HP support and since my printer is no longer under warranty, they told me I had to pay $24 for this response. WHAT? Are you freaking kidding me? What a total scam. I never asked for technical support on this product since I got it. I'm so disappointed in HP. I thought that all the rest out for issues of my own of the user manual and Googling. But for some reason, there is no logical answer to this question (other than completely reset my entire printer which I can't do because it wasn't working with my wireless network, because we moved months ago and the technician for our internet business was out the other day and he was able to repair and make return to wireless technology and I can't have this messed up again). DOES ANYONE HAVE AN IDEA? Everything I've read about technical support for HP, it's very sad how it seems there's almost no technology that knows his job. Can someone please give me a simple straight answer on how to implement the confirmation of the image for my fax. He said "an image of page 1 will appear here for faxes sent as Scan and Fax. I looked for it everywhere, changed my settings for faxing several times and still does not work. Thanks for the help in advance to the person who can really give me the right answer. - Penne

You're right, this sentence in the tip is vague and confusing.
Send a fax from memory is on page 43. This feature is useful for group fax or speed dial, or using the automatic function of re - dial, a copy of the pages are scanned for you and ejected, pages so you can delete them, and then real sending the fax arrives, perhaps at a later date.
I assumed that the manual is trying to say, it uses no not this feature (with direct line, printing, fax, etc.), there is no image no registered therefore no image on fax send report).

    Hey @darrensweeney ,

Thanks for joining us on the HP Forums today, hope you enjoy your time with us!

I understand that you are having problems with the instructions in the manual that explains how 'Touch Fax Confirmation with the image. You have followed the instructions and can not get the same result.

After completing step 4 and select 'Send of Fax' or 'send and receive', you will come to a new screen that asked 'Touch Fax Confirmation with image' or 'Touch Fax Confirmation'.

These steps are correct because I have the same version of the firmware and the same printer here at my desk and I followed these steps to get the "Confirmation of fax Touch with image.

Please try again and let me know what happens. Thanks for posting.

  • No confirmation of delivery fax Photosmart 7510

My efax "delivery confirmation" on my Photosmart HP 7510 all-in-one (windows 7) is already set to 'on '. I sent 3 faxes up to now and that you have not yet received a printed delivery confirmation. (faxes show as sent the 'my fax' log on to the printer, but not in my efax account, so I'm still not able to actually print the proof that the fax has been sent.) Something that I missed? Thank you

Maddyjean, unfortunately, eFax is a company that works closely with HP on some printers, but it's actually a third party company. For this reason, there are some limitations as to what HP is able to control with eFax.

eFax works this way: your request is sent to our servers ePrint which is then transmitted to the eFax server. From there it is sent to your recipient.

Because of this configuration, we are only able to confirm that our fax has been received by the servers of eFax, but now eFax didn't put it in place to show that a recipient has received the fax. I would recommend contacting eFax on this limitation, because there is no other alternative for HP to give you right now.

It is possible that this will change in the future, because the development of this technology is fairly new.

    I hope this helps!

  • Can I fax with my equipment?

    Hello.

I have a HP Pavilion all in one PC and a printer - Scanner - Copier HP Photosmart C4480 all-in-one .

I am able to send and receive faxes with this equipment, and if so how do I do this?

Some people say that I need additional software, while others say that there is a "fax facility" in the PC.

I would appreciate your help. Thank you, bilwardo

The HP Photosmart C4480 all-in-one printer's specifications indicate that there no fax capability. You may need to click on the tab "card printer" to see the point, that is, the fax is n/a.

You may be able to scan documents to the C4480 and then send the scanned fax image, If you have a fax on your PC HP Pavilion.

Log on to the computer and type ctrl + alt + s. A window pop up and you tell the model number. Go to www.hp.com and search for your model number. You should be able to find the software and manuals from here, and you should be able to determine if your Pavilion model has ability to fax.

  • HP Officejet 6500 a Plus. How to get a fax received to print in black and white and not the other way around

I'm using an iMac with OS X 10.6.8.  A fax sent to me is loaded into a folder open on my desktop.  The fax image is white on black al, though the original was black on white paper.  It prints white on black background.  How to reverse the image to black on white?

Ok. Well I don't believe that you are able to reverse the colors directly on the printer. Once the image has been saved using this color format, you will need to reverse the image on the computer first, then the corrected file printer.

You can invert the colors using the preview. Once you open the image in preview if you select "Tools" then "Color Adjust". Here you will be presented with slidered for black and white levels. To "reverse" all colors, you need to do is the slider level black all the way to the right, then drag the white slider completely to the left.

Let me know if it works for you!

  • HP Officejet Pro L7780 print, copy, Scan, Fax

We used the HP L7780 as a standalone Copier (not connected to a computer or a network).

Here we are ready to give the gift of unity, which still works well, but fear that its internal memory (or hard drive) can store images of copied data from sensitive information.

How can we delete/overwrite this memory without destroying the operating system?

We want the printer/copier to be functional for the new owner.

    Hi TechUserOKC,

If you have not used the printer as a standalone Copier without connection to a computer or a network, then you don't have to worry about the images or the data stored in the device. However, if you sent a fax with this machine there is a chance of fax images could be stored and saved in the internal memory. In this case, you will need to restore the default settings of the printer.

Let us know if that helps.

  • Cannot load the image

Hi, I tried to put an image in an imageview, but got this error. The interesting thing is that there are Images that I previously added to the project. They work fine, the problem is with new images.

    helpRootImage->setImage("asset:///images/help/connecTapp.png");

and I got this error in the log

libpng warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile
"Unable to get asset in (/apps/com.example.ConnecTappTest.testDev_necTappTest93cfa27a/native/assets/): (/images/help/connecTapp.png)."
    Image not found: "/images/help/connecTapp.png"

the images are in the current folder. And using the system target file browser, I also confirmed that images are there in the current folder of the device also. They are there, they do not load. Any suggestions?

Well, I had to fix it myself. The solution is quite simple. There was a. assets.index file in the current folder. I deleted and the next time that I built, everything was perfect.

    HI Jonathan,.

It seems to me that if your OS has been corrupted, and I would recommend that you re-install. You can get the replacement of any Toshiba authorized Service partner recovery CD. You can get a list of the asp from the Toshiba web site.
