  • Satellite L735 does not connect to the internet (wired and wireless)

    Hello

I have a brand new L735 satellite, and I'm having a lot of trouble with internet connections.

When I connect to a wireless network it is the profile and connects but still then doesn't say: "no internet access" for two IPv4 qnd IPv6 connectivity status.
I tried troubleshooting, turing off the computer, and wireless network and stil back, but it does not.

The same phenomenon occurs with the workplace wireless, despite other computers that connect to this good (so it does not come from the networks). I also tried to connect to work with an ethernet cable but no luck.

I have the Atheros AR9002WB-1NG wireless network card and the Atheros AR8152/8158 PCI - E Fast ethernet controller.

I don't know what to do as the laptop is new and so it should not need to updates, all parameters are default, etc.. I'd appreciate some help here!

    Hello

Uninstall or disable the TCP/IPv6 and use only TCP/IPv4 protocol.
Also check whether in the properties of TCP/IPv4, IP address and other parameters are defined to assign automatically

I recommend also check the firewall and some security applications that may be preinstalled on your laptop.
It might be possible that antivirus or firewall block the laptop to connect to internet.

  • Problems connecting to the internet with my wireless router

I have a WRT54GS v7 wireless router that I use with a modem ADSL ZyXEL P-660R-D1. during installation, I was unable to establish a connection to the internet, once my router is properly connected to my desktop computer and my modem. All the correct lights on my modem and router are turned on. Please help, I tried to turn off the two as instructed by the installation wizard, but who failed to make the internet connection works and I continued the installation process after many attempts. At the end of the installation, he said that my router has been set up, but I don't have an internet connection. What should I do to fix this?

The problem you are experiencing is caused by the fact that you Zyxel and your WRT54GS both try to use the same 192.168.1.x subnet.   Your WRT54GS will not work properly if you try to put the same subnet on the LAN ports and the port Internet (WAN).  Also to note that the installation wizard will not work in your situation, then stop using it.  You will need to manually configure your router.

There are two ways to solve the problem:

Option 1) Change the subnet in the WRT54GS.    To do this, follow these steps:

    (a) turn off your network

    (b) disconnect the WRT54GS of other devices.

    (c) connect a single computer via ethernet cable, a LAN on the WRT54GS port

    (d) turn on your computer and the WRT54GS

    (e) point your browser to 192.168.1.1 and connect to your WRT54GS

    (f) change "local IP address" 192.168.2.1, then click the 'Save Settings' button and wait (3 to 60 seconds) of the screen refresh.  You will be probably disconnected from the WRT54GS.  Don't worry about this.

    (g) take out your browser and turn off the WRT54GS and your computer.

    (h) then, using an ethernet cable, connect the Zyxel ethernet port to port Internet (WAN) of the WRT54GS.

    (i) power of your network.  It should work.

You will now access your pages of configuration WRT54GS to 192.168.2.1

Option 2) the other way to solve your problem is to change your Zyxel to 'bridge' mode  (You will need to consult your Xyxel user guide, or your ISP website, to find out how to do this).  This will convert the Zyxel a real modem, and then he won't get an IP address.  After that, you need to configure your WRT54GS to your PPPoE connection for you.

I guess that your Zyxel is a PPPoE connection.  If we perform a PPPoA connection, then does not allow Option 2 because your WRT54GS is unable to make a PPPoA connection.

    Additional notes:

You don't need to do both options.  Choose one or the other.

For a more normal web use including browsing, email, downloads, etc., or another option should work fine.  If you are an online gamer, you will probably prefer option 2, because this will make it easier to set up many online games.

  • Computer with Vista unable to connect to the internet through two computers with Windows 7.

    Dear engineers,

In our House, we have two new computers Windows 7 connect to Wired internet access.  Our friend came in hoping to play some MMO games with us on our connection (it has windows vista).  When we hung everything upward, by linking to our modem, his computer was visible on my husbands computer, but was visible on mine as a media device.  He could see the two computers, but could not get an internet connection and no viable ping.  We checked the network map and he showed my computer with one? related to my husband then connected to the internet.  Inside, there was an announcement indicating that the following devices are not displayed in the network map.  under of course was listed both our friends media device and the computer device.  I searched Control Panel and gave access to anyone on the login to my husbands system as long as me.  What happens if nothing else can I try to have its system you can connect to our internet?

    Thank you for your attention,

    Cerisea

    Hello

If a computer is not properly visible it generally means that sharing is not set correctly to match your system.

You must also set your computers with the computer account of the friend as a user on your computer.

Everyone does not mean everyone wishing to connect.

If the accounts are presented only for John, Jill and Jack, setting in the folder with all permissions saves the effort of definition permission separately for John, Jill and Jack.

Everyone isn't everyone group, only John, Jill and Jack.

    In general.

Win7 when configured on the peer-to-peer network has three types of configurations of sharing.

Group residential network = only works between Win 7 computers. This type of configuration, it is very easy to entry level users to start sharing network.

Working network = fundamentally similar to previous methods of sharing that allow you to control what, how and to whom the records would be shared with.

    Public share
= network Public (as Internet Café) in order to reduce security risks.

For the best newspaper of the results of each computer screen system and together all computers on a network of the same name, while each computer has its own unique name.

Make sure that the software firewall on each computer allows free local traffic. If you use 3rd party Firewall on, Vista/XP Firewall Native should be disabled, and the active firewall has adjusted to your network numbers IP on what is sometimes called the Zone of confidence (see part 3 firewall instructions

    General example, http://www.ezlan.net/faq#trusted
Please note that some 3rd party software firewall continue to block the same aspects it traffic Local, they are turned Off (disabled). If possible, configure the firewall correctly or completely uninstall to allow a clean flow of local network traffic. If the 3rd party software is uninstalled, or disables, make sure Windows native firewall is active .

Win 7 networking with other version of Windows as a work network.

In the center of the network, by clicking on the type of network opens the window to the right.

Choose your network type. Note the check box at the bottom and check/uncheck depending on your needs.

When you have finished the configuration of the system, it is recommended to restart everything the router and all computers involved.

    -------------

If you have authorization and security problems, check the following settings.

Point to a folder that wants to share do right click and choose Properties.

    In the properties

Click on the Security tab shown in the bellows of the photo on the right) and verify that users and their permissions (see photo below Centre and left) are configured correctly. Then do the same for the authorization tab.

This screen shot is to Win 7, Vista menus are similar.

    http://www.ezlan.NET/Win7/permission-security.jpg

The Security Panel and the authorization Panel, you need to highlight each user/group and consider that the authorization controls are verified correctly.

When everything is OK, restart the network (router and computer).

    * Note . The groups and users listed in the screen-shoot are just an example. Your list will focus on how your system is configured.

    * Note . There must be specific users. All means all users who already have an account now as users. This does not mean everyone who feel they would like to connect.

    ---------------------

*** Note. Some of the processes described above are made sake not for Windows, but to compensate for different routers and how their firmware works and stores information about computers that are networked.

  • NB100 - new user. Unable to connect to the internet via a wireless connection

    * What can someone help please.*

    I bought a NB100 (Ubuntu) yesterday.
He walks and he finds our Wi - Fi connection and got to the web. Large.

I then ran "Update Manager" and since then I can not get internet connection.
In 'Network settings' it shows only "Wired" & "Point to point" as the connection types.

Also when I now click on 'Firefox Web Browser', 'Update Manager', 'Pilot' or 'Add Remove Programs' the equivalent circular hourglass appears for a few seconds, then disappears. The application does not start.

    Any guidance would be appreciated.
    Thank you.

  • Problems connecting to the internet using the wireless network connection

I can't connect to the internet using my wireless network connection. I had made the diagnosis and he stated that "the DHCP is not enabled for the wireless network connection. I had checked the DHCP, but it has been activated!... Someone would give any suggestion for me to solve the problem?

Open the run command box by pressing Windows key + R, type services.msc and press enter . Search The Client DHCP and check if it is enabled or disabled. If disabled then turn it on and see if the problem still persists or not.

Open the run command box by pressing Windows key + R, type cmd , and press enter . At the command prompt, type ipconfig/all and press ENTER. Now, check the IP address, default gateway, DNS etc. If you find all the information is correct, but you cannot yet access the Internet so if you connect the wireless network is secure or not. To determine the glance to the wireless network icon in the taskbar, then click on it. It will show you the available wireless networks. If there is a "yellow shield" present on the network icon, the network is not guaranteed, if there is no "yellow shield" does while the network is secure. In a secure network, you might have a "network security key. In this case try to disable the 'Network security key' option for this network. To do this:

Open Control Panel , click network and Internet , click network and sharing Center , click manage wireless networks on the left.

In the list select the wireless network and do a right click, select Properties, Security disable tab all options that is, in security type do not select no authentication (Open) and to the type of encryption , select none . You can also activate the automatic connection and SSID settings to further enhance connectivity, on the connection tab, click to select the "connect automatically if this network is in range " and "check boxesto connect even if the network is broadcasting his name (SSID) .

For more information click here and see how you can determine whether a network is secure or not.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/how-do-I-know-if-a-wireless-network-is-secure

If the problem still persists, then check your firewall settings and make sure that the firewall is not blocking your Internet connection. Some software Antivirus has a built-in firewall and they block by default all unknown connection to the tightening of security.

Try to restore Windows Firewall default settings. Open Control Panel click on network and Internet , click system and security , click Windows Firewall , click default settings .

Hope this will help. Thank you.

  • Unable to connect to the Internet via a Linksys Wireless card

I used a Linksys BEFW11S4 for several years with no problems.  A PC is connected via a network cable and the other (Dell laptop) used a wireless adapter Linksys that plugged into the laptop (model of Linksys WPC11 ver (4).  All my computers using Windows XP with the latest service packs.

I plugged the Dell laptop to the router via a cable to transfer files faster than the network B.  Then, when I disconnected the cable and reconnected the wireless card, I was unable to use the Wi - Fi connection to connect to the internet.  Wired works very well, is not wireless.

Windows reports a good wireless connection to the router, but the machine is unable to connect to the internet using the wireless card.  It can connect to the internet when using a network cable, however.

Pings what either using the Wi - Fi connection failed (expired).

I used another laptop (a more recent Toshiba with a wireless card built-in) to connect to the router and it works very well with the connectivity wired or wireless.  No problem switching back with this machine.  So, the problem is not with the router or the router configuration.

I was through the forums and seen a LOT of people seems to have the same problem with these Wireless Linksys routers.

I tried to use the Easy Link software to configure the machine, but: (1) Linksys updated web site is not valid, and (2) with the www.linksysfix.com/ela site that directs users to the software is also invalid.  Linksys technical support seems to be lacking.

I went to the usual network setup menus and two laptops seem to be configured the same way, again, we're working wireless and we do not.

I would appreciate solutions others have tried and who has worked with this problem.

I reinstalled the drivers for the Linksys card and it does not work.  Windows recognizes the new hardware card, reports that it is connected to the router, but still no internet connection

I can't connect to the internet via my wireless router? When I check the availability of networks, the signal is as strong as it gets. Hello

As a first step put the computer near the router and start with the security off the coast.
When it works, take it back to the final spot. If it stops then working, then you have a problem of distance.
