Connecting 2 antennas to WAP54G

Hi all.

I want to connect to a local (wired) network to a WLAN 2 km through 2 WAP54G in the formation of bridges. My? is on the side of WLAN do I need to connect 2 antennas to my 2nd bridge WAP54G which connects to the WLAN, so that the second antenna connects to a 3rd WAP54G in AP mode (for wireless clients) or can I connect the two with a cable.

LAN - WAP54g = (BRIDGE) = WAPG54g - AP (WAP54g) - wireless clients.

Or is there a better way to install this network.

Yes, I think it should be sufficient.

Have your read the description of any antenna?
    It seems you didn t!

This antenna cannot be connected to the laptop or another computer. The external WiFi antenna must be connected to the router or access point Wlan!

    The description says:
    + Plug straight into your D - link DWL520, Linksys WMP11, WET11, Netgear MA311, or D-link APs +.

By the way; the portable series don t provide any special port to connect these antennas!

  • Connect the antennas on 1260AP

    Hello

I plan to buy a cisco 1260AP so I can connect external antennas.

My choice would be the AIR-ANT2506 antenna

I have to buy 3 antennas?

How to install on the mast? All 3 antennas on the same mast with the same height?

If someone find some information on how you connect the 3 antennas on the ap1260, everything is welcome...

Thanks in advanced for the comments

    Hello

    Yes, you need 3.

They should be a little like how they're about to access = on the same height on the mast and the side by side, a few centimetres from each other.

  • The Pavilion Elite HPE475 need an external antenna to a wireless connection?

I just bought this machine and have had problems with a poor quality since the wireless signal. HP technical team came up with all sorts of different explanations, and I even had to send for the "repair" because one of them think that the wireless card was defective. The last time it's because he needs an antenna.

Can someone confirm if this machine wireless card requires an antenna to be connected to the two screws Golden at the back of the computer? What is the answer, or just another diversion?

I was not sent an antenna with the computer, it may be a mistake the part of HP. I can connect to the internet, but usually get that two bars on the signal, while my old computer has always had five bars, as do other computers on the network. The connection keeps dropping out and is extremely slow to load at times.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

I suggest that you take a look at what came in the box.

The low-profile wireless network card should have with an antenna and two cables with connectors from red and blue to differentiate the connection to the wireless card.

The service center may be assuming that you already know that... All the wireless cards that come with desktop computers have a connected external antenna with cable to the wireless card.

This image is an example. Some cards equipped with antennas that screw directly on the gold screws. Most 802.11 b/g/n card look like this.

Please report anything that is on the label with bar code on the back of your PC, except the serial number. The HPE475 is not a complete description of a PC.

  • F20 - 132 - can I connect a wireless antenna in the antenna of my TV connector?

Hi... I think I missunderstood something when I read the manual of my laptop... maybe someone can help me with this problem

It is possible to connect a wireless antenna uses the same input, used for the TV antenna?

Currently I use an adapter (supplied with my laptop) for my cable TV to work, but without this adapter I can plug an antenna wireless in there?

This seems really strange, but that's what I heard in my manual... or the translation of the English-Portuguese was bad: P

Can someone explain if I can plug an antenna and what type and which connector I need.

THX in advance and sorry for my rusty English

    Hello

The adapter is needed to connect the antenna cable, because the antenna cable supports different jack. If the wireless antenna must have the same cable as a normal antenna if cable adapter is required.
Maybe the 3rd party Wlan antenna has an own map but I n t think so.

  • Unable to connect to the Internet via AP WAP54G through a BEFSR41 wired router

I'm puzzled. This connection was working fine but something changed... I don't know how he did. I connect to the internet via a WAP54G through a BEFSR41 to a cable modem. I checked all the settings and even reset several times but nothing helped. I can connect wireless to the WAP54G but no internet connection. The signal strength is excellent. The Vista wireless interface signals that I am connected but only locally with no internet relay. What's wrong? What I forgot. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Solved the problem. Seems a sequence to these pair of power and even if I cycled power, I did not properly. Also, I created a new wireless network to ensure that nothing is associated with the former network that has been tampered contributed to the issue.

  • The Toshiba 24W33B has a video output connection?

I want to know if there is any way to connect this tv so that it generates video from another cable SCART to my dvd recorder.

Please don't get me wrong, but I also want to know if you have seen that this forum is created for the COMPUTER SYSTEMS? ;)

Anyway, as far as I know TV is designed to receive and do not send video/audio signals to other devices?
If you want to have video/audio signals your DVD recorder to check ports, it and connect the antenna or any other device like sat/cable receiver.

  • Very limited wireless connection

I have a HP Pavilion dv7 - 3153ca with a 64-bit windows system 7 and I'm only able to get a wireless connection when the laptop is very close to the modem. Once the laptop is moved, for example, to another floor of the House, the connection is lost and cannot be re established until I have the back next to the modem. He has no problem with the wired connection. This has happened while he was trying to pass my McAfee security provider, although I don't think this is the problem that my other laptop (a Dell) converted without this problem. The other laptop continues to maintain its connection Wireless throughout the House, so the router and the modem is not the issue. I downloaded and re-installed the adapter without modification. I have scanned the laptop and nothing is reported in the mess. Are there any ideas as to why the wireless connection works only when the laptop remains close to the modem? Thank you.

It seems I may not have been very clear in my previous post.  I wanted to suggest was to reverse the connection of the antenna.  As mentioned in the thread I linked, the connections might have been reversed from what they should be from the factory.  If this is the case, then connect the antennas in a factory setting would not solve the problem.

Have you tried to reverse the antennas?  If they are in the deformities, then this would fix it.  If they are in the right position, then the worst you would have (only in the deformities) would drop signal strength.

  • Qosmio F20 - lost TV antenna connector

    Hello.

I lost connector TV of my Qosmio F20 that connects my antenna for the cell phone. Anyone know what we call cable or where to buy it?

I've looked everywhere but can't find what's it called and so it cannot search.

    Soon :)
    Sian

    Hey Buddy,

I put t know which cable you mean exactly, but every cable that you got with your laptop, you can order from a service provider authorized in your country. They sell all spare parts Toshiba.

Do you have life in Europe?
If so, you can search for one here authorized service provider:
    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com > support & downloads > find an ASP.

    Good luck! :)

  • Qosmio F20-153 - need TV antenna

    Hello

    I could do with help,
Recently, I moved house and lost my TV antenna for my QOSMIO.

I have spent ages looking for a replacement online but had no luck so far.

Anyone know what kind of cable is that plugs into the port next to the power supply in the laptop bag.
The port is silver on the edge with a white inner circular disc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, a web site where I can buy one of these cables would also be useful.

No explanation on what kind of cable is used in this port would be too great
    See you soon

Its a TV antenna/antenna cable standard.

They come with a variety of connectors, but you do not want the F-Type or a coaxial blocking.

    Amazon stocks their: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Belkin-Aerial-Antenna-Cable-3M/dp/B000CHYSOU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1228988380&sr = 1-1
Similarly, if you go to any store that sells players from VCR/dvd/TV you can find it there.
Most of the VCRs and DVD players come with them, so you use this cable to connect the antenna to the TV.

  • Connectivity issues with Satellite L30-101 wireless

I live in a room where the wireless NET is low.

The landlord lives just next door and it has wireless internet access, I pay for it as well.

I have a toshiba satellite laptop L30-101. my room is on the first floor, if I get out of my room in the hallway, the net improves.
If I go down this is the best.
I tried to speak with the owner to put the modem near the window or connect an antenna in the modem, but there is no change.
Here's my question: How can I get a net better from my room?
What can I buy for my computer? I have a type II card slot. What type of antenna, cables or cards can I buy?

    Hey Bela

Why don't you talk with your local dealer where you live. They can give you enough useful information how to manage this problem. If you wish, you can test connectivity with the latest PCMCIA WLAN cards. If there is no success you can send it back after a few days.

  • WiFi external antenna

Is it possible to connect an antenna external wifi to my computer hp laptop dv5 1110ee.

    Thanks in advance

Or, without having to speak Polish:

    Your wireless adapter is internal.

In order to have an antenna that there must be something that you can connect to an antenna protruding.

You can buy a new wireless card that fits your ExpressCard with an external antenna location.

You can also cut a hole in the bottom of your laptop and attach a cable from the antenna of your wireless card and run it to an outdoor antenna.

Or you could buy a USB adapter wireless with an antenna.

  • Using a WAP54G as a Repeater for router E2500

I have E2500 Wireless N router that I bought recently to replace a cheapie netgear that I lent to the family.  The router is in the basement near a bunch of metal ducts and I live near a radio station, which I believe is killing my signal.  in any case, I was able to pick up a WAP54G wireless access point.  I would use it as a wired Repeater (if all goes well for the signal upwards in the upper levels of my home).  Can I use the WAP54G with the E2500?  I looked in the settings page when I tried to set up as a Repeater, and he says he will only connect with another WAP54G or a WRT54G (linksys g wireless router).

The installation program to use the WAP54G as access point wireless, with a connecting cable between the WAP54G and your router is fairly simple.

The default IP address a WAP54G is 192.168.1.245.

If your router is the default address 192.168.1.1, you can direct cable connect the WAP54G to the router.

Then open a Web browser and access the WAP54G its default address 192.168.1.245, password "admin".

If everything succeed insofar as you can leave the WAP54G default LAN settings.

Just adjust the settings wireless to your wishes: set an SSID, unique and different, then your router, set a channel, unique and different, and then your router, set the type of wireless security and the sentence of past (I suggest the same thing as your router).

On the password tab, you set your own password to access the WAP54G for future configuration.

Everything else can be left by default.

Power cycle the WAP54G after all your changes, you should now be able to wireless connect to the SSID WAP54G and its own wireless security settings and you should have access to the Internet through the WAP54G.
