Connect the antennas on 1260AP

Hello

I plan to buy a cisco 1260AP so I can connect external antennas.

My choice would be the AIR-ANT2506 antenna

I have to buy 3 antennas?

How to install on the mast? All 3 antennas on the same mast with the same height?

If someone find some information on how you connect the 3 antennas on the ap1260, everything is welcome...

Thanks in advanced for the comments

Hello

Yes, you need 3.

They should be a little like how they're about to access = on the same height on the mast and the side by side, a few centimetres from each other.

Nicolas

Hi... I think I missunderstood something when I read the manual of my laptop... maybe someone can help me with this problem

Currently I use an adapter (supplied with my laptop) for my cable TV to work, but without this adapter I can plug an antenna wireless in there?

This seems really strange, but that's what I heard in my manual... or the translation of the English-Portuguese was bad: P

Can someone explain if I can plug an antenna and what type and which connector I need.

THX in advance and sorry for my rusty English

    Hello

The adapter is needed to connect the antenna cable, because the antenna cable supports different jack. If the wireless antenna must have the same cable as a normal antenna if cable adapter is required.
Maybe the 3rd party Wlan antenna has an own map but I n t think so.

  • Can I connect VHS Video Recorder for Qosmio G20 using the antenna in the Port?

    Hello.

I connect my G20 a very old VCR. Can I connect it to the antenna in the port? Someone at - it tried? Because it will not need to buy a cable SCART. And for what I searched by linking to the video in Port, if I want to record the signal, I have WinDVD record I did more.
So I was wondering if connect the VCR to the antenna port. I'll be able to find and record the VHS signal on media center?
    Thank you

I already tried on S - video In and I get black screen

More: When I connect the laptop to a TV it works only via the S-video port. When I use the D-video port it simply doesn't work. The black screen.

Of course you can do it. On this Qosmio laptop TV tuner works on the same principle as usual TV. You can watch movies on Qosmioplayer or using Media Center Edition VHS. In both cases start movie VHS and let Qosmioplayer or MCE sweep all TV channels. On one of them, you will see the picture of VHS VCR.

All that s. I tested it with Qosmioplayer and MCE too. It works without any problem. I also tested recording option. This also works. Later, I edited material recorded and created DVDs.

With short words: with Qosmio G20, you can do whatever you want. It's really good multimedia laptop.

  • Planning to get a plus the HD antenna. How can I connect the coax cable to my STR-DH820?

    Hello

I'm trying to free myself from the grip of DirecTV expenive.  I'm looking to well reviewed on the air such as the Clear Stream 2V or 4V HD antennas.  How would connect the coaxial cable from the antenna HD to my receiver STR-DH820? Currently, DirecTV coaxial cable runs in the DirecTV DVR, which then has HDMI output in the DH820.  My Sony S590, PS3 connects to the 820 and I have a HDMI going in my Sony KDL-55HX729.  Thank you!

I did a little research... Looks like I have connect the coaxial cable to the TV antenna input and the "Digital Optical Out" in the "TV digital optical In" 820 receiver.  I can tune the channels of sound with the TV remote control and select 'TV' on the STR-DH820 to switch the sound of the home theater.  Does this sound right?  Seems a bit of work, but if it works, it is better than $100 a month from DirecTV!

    Hello Robby

I found information that your device isn't WiFi ready and there is no internal antenna. Sorry, but you will not be able to use your wireless network card.

  • Can TV 32DL933B - I connect the SKY via RF?

If I connect my sky box to a 2nd TV using the rf to TV 32DL933B socket. I can settle in the DTT channels, but I can't get the sky channels.
Is it a question of connection settings or tv?

Unless your 'Sky box' has output of the box itself, you will receive the 'TNT' channels despite the box, not because of the box.

Most of the boxes for reception satellite feed their signal via a HDMI or composite or component video, power supply, which must be selected via the button "entry" on the TV remote control.
Check your manual for the 'Sky' box to see if it produces a RF signal out, or simply "pass by" the Federation of Russia of the antenna, it should tell you so anyway

Have your read the description of any antenna?
    It seems you didn t!

This antenna cannot be connected to the laptop or another computer. The external WiFi antenna must be connected to the router or access point Wlan!

    The description says:
    + Plug straight into your D - link DWL520, Linksys WMP11, WET11, Netgear MA311, or D-link APs +.

By the way; the portable series don t provide any special port to connect these antennas!

  • How to connect the video cable with Qosmio G50

    Hello

I bought the Qosmio G50-11s and received a video cable with it. (Jack mini jack RCA Red/white/yellow) But I find no way to connect it to my laptop, not the manual or all online resources talks about it. The problem is that I need to capture video from my VCR to my laptop and normal TV antenna comes with a lot of noise, so I have to use video in the cable. Any ideas?

    Thank you

    Hello

In the past I made some experiences with it. I wanted to create DVD copy old VHS VCR equipment. Using the recorder even? I did this on Qosmio G30 but the principle is the same.

The fact is that you need to send the signal to the laptop and to do this you must use the video port.
I do not see that your Qosmio has several of them, so I think that the only way to send the signal to your laptop is to use the antenna port. What video output port you want to use on your recorder?

  • Connecting 2 antennas to WAP54G

    Hi all.

I want to connect to a local (wired) network to a WLAN 2 km through 2 WAP54G in the formation of bridges. My? is on the side of WLAN do I need to connect 2 antennas to my 2nd bridge WAP54G which connects to the WLAN, so that the second antenna connects to a 3rd WAP54G in AP mode (for wireless clients) or can I connect the two with a cable.

    LAN - WAP54g = (BRIDGE) = WAPG54g - AP (WAP54g) - wireless clients.

Or is there a better way to install this network.

Yes, I think it should be sufficient.

  • HP printer insists on connecting the weak WiFi AP

I have a HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 and it works very well with a serious exception... wifi connectivity. He always insists on connecting to a wifi access point at the back of my house (100' through many walls) rather than the point of access within 30 feet of the printer. The access point only providing 1-2 bars and inconsistent connectivity. When I turn off the distant access point and the printer connects immediately close access point and provides a strong connection with 4-5 bars and stable... stable connectivity, that is, until I got back on the distant access point. When I turn on the distant access point, stays of the printer with the close access point for a while, but at some point (maybe when the printer goes to sleep), it switches to the distant access with low and inconsistent connectivity point.

    My network description:

I use Centurylink DSL and have a CenturyLink C1000a modem/router with active wifi. The C1000a is ~ 30 ft of the printer and provides an excellent signal when the printer connects to it.

I have a DLink DIR - 655 Router wifi connected to the C1000a via ethernet. The DIR-655 router is configured as an access point (for example, no DHCP, identical SSID and passwords, different channels 1 and 11). I checked this put in place several times, and it works perfectly with all my other devices/clients that roam between access points (e.g., iPad 2, 3 laptops, iPhone, Blackberry). The HP printer behaves differently and strongly prefer try to connect to the router DIR-655 (11 HP) with a signal low, even if the C1000a (Ch1) has a strong signal... There must be other criteria, he plans when you select an access point.

    I tried:

-Reduction of transmitting the power of the DIR-655 to avoid an overlap of the two areas of coverage from the AP

-Different security settings on each access point

-Different modes on each access point 802.11

None of these makes all the difference. I seems to have had some marginal improvements in turning down of emission power * and * setting of the antennas of DIR - 655 to minimise energy directed to the printer (i.e., I indicated the bipole in the direction of the printer antennas the antenna power is reduced in the direction of the printer), but she still wants to try to establish links with the DIR-655 router.

I noticed that HP web site indicates there is an update of firmware for my printer (model 8600 N911g) advertised as improving wifi set up, but when I try to install it, the installation tool indicates the update is not applicable and won't let me install it.

I became a lot more to know about WiFi (I'm an engineer and learn about such things), but I'm to the point where I don't know what else to try, other than to return the HP printer and get another brand. I've seen similar problems posted online without any resolution, and another brand is the only solution that seems to work. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you!

It can work when you are connected to the AP later, but he frequently gives errors when you try to print. It is unreliable and very frustrating when connected via the AP further. It works fine when connected to the AP closer.

I have tried switching the channels. It turns the channels my neighbours makes best of set up the way it is, but I'll give that a try.

  • "show the alignment of the antenna-dot11" shows the bug in JA1 12.4 (25 d) for AP1262N

    Hello

We have a couple of AP1262N-E-K9 AP with firmware version 12.4 (25 d) JA1 operating in conceerne mode.

I tried to measure the quality of the signal between access points by a Repeater mode adjuster while all others are in root mode. Then I run the following command:

    dot11 Dot11Radio 0 - the alignment of the antenna

Connected via the cable from the console, the following output is displayed:

#dot11 AP Dot11Radio 0 - the alignment of the antenna

Type escape sequence "control ^ ' to abort.

    Response of 64d8.1486.f000 Signal-24 dBm

    [...]

    Response of 64d8.1486.f000 Signal-25 dBm

    * 1 Mar 05:13:59.953: % DOT11-4-UPLINK_ESTABLISHED: the Interface Dot11Radio0, associated with 64d8.1486.f000 AP AP03 [no Wpa2 PSK]

    However, being connected via SSH:

    Dot11 AP # dot11Radio 0 - the alignment of the antenna timeout 2

Type escape sequence "control ^ ' to abort.

Type escape sequence "control ^ ' to abort. Timeout in 1 second.

Obviously, there is no action displayed during the scan.

So it must subsequently use the command 'show the antenna alignment' to get the values measured signal strength:

    AP00 #sh alignment of the antenna-dot11

    64d8.1486.f000 answer 25% of Signal 0 dBm

    [...]

    64d8.1486.f000 from 22% 0 dBm Signal response

    There are two problems:

    1. the output to 'see the dot11-alignment of the antenna' is incorrect, the value of % represents the signal strength in dBm without - (least). For example "-25 dBm" appears as "25% signal 0 dBm.

Now, I know that this is only a display error, but it is still not clean. Is this a known issue?

    2. why the values of measured signal strength appear not on the SSH console during the test of the alignment of the antenna?

Is it compulsory to use the console to see these values? Or is it also a known bug that could be fixed in the latest versions of firmware?

    Thank you for your support.

Often, this command is used for real bridges and when you're on the roof trying to align its usually from the console. If the output should vary between a console and a ssh session, no.... You are in the CLI anyway.

Your better off opening a TAC case on it because it looks like a bug of cosmetics.

  • 'Off' blackBerry smartphones appears next to the antenna icon where the bars are usually on 8330

It seems that I somehow function phone off.  Although I turned the phone market by using the red button I suddenly the word 'off' in the upper left corner of the screen next to the icon of the antenna instead of the bars indicating signal strength. As a result, does not connect to the system.

I took out the battery and restarted without success.  I guess I did something stupid.

Help! How do I turn it back on?

Hi and welcome to the forums,

Go to MANAGE THE CONNECTIONS - mobile network is checked.

    Let me know!

  • Where is the antenna?

My HP Pavilion m3951.nl has a usb 802.11 wireless adapter b g. The blue wifi signal on the front is activated.

    It says in the instructions:

"Confirm that the computer has a wireless network antenna; the antenna can be a part of the internal network hardware, or the antenna may be external and must be connected to the back of the computer. »

There nothing that comes out of the back of the computer, so, how do I know if my HP has perhaps internal network software?

Nevermind: immediately after that I disconnected the network cable, a window pops up saying to a wireless network were found. So I guess that the antenna is integrated.
