  I bought a Satellite a couple of years ago which worked well for a while - however, it has started to overheat a lot and kept stop without reason. After many searches on the net, I discovered that the fans were very likely blocked with dust? After you clean the laptop worked like a dream and as a Bunny happy I was!

  It is a common problem and can have several causes. The most common are a common defective soldering on the motherboard (where the socket is attached) and it can also be caused by a bad connection between the AC plug (at the end of the cable) and the socket on the laptop.

  Unfortunately, the standard response from most repairers is just to replace the motherboard, probably because it's faster for them and produced more revenue that comes to fix the connection.

  I solved this problem on my SA30 by pinching the cable ca to the back of my laptop in order to prevent any movement or tension on the connector. Unfortunately this will not help if the socket is already damaged, but it can reduce the incidence of the problem to occur.

  I agree with Akuma. There is no problem, remove the battery when the AC/DC adapter is connected. If you can do it. In addition the battery charge will be stopped if it s at full charge. The laptop consumes energy to AC/DC adapter only.

  If you remove the battery and work with AC/DC adapter only, the battery life will be improved a little because it s not in its use.

  Am stuck with a problem with Cisco Any connect.

  My organization has a domain name (for example, domain.com) and the local NETWORK card is configured with the IP Address of the DNS server to resolve host names. Connectionless Cisco Any-connect the resolution on LAN is going very well and I am able to solve the COMPLETE domain name (for example, name1.domain.com).

  Now, when I connect Cisco-plug any software provided by customers, the all-connect also provides a DNS server IP in the map virtual all - Connect, and once connected to the VPN is not identify the FQDNs on local network (for example, name1.domain.com), he solves all the FQDN behind the VPN (for example name2.foreigndomain.com)

  Working groups do not provide any type of security on a network.  A computer in any working group can access a computer in any working group.  There is no firewall or passwords for the working groups.

  I recommend that you ask the people who run the company LAN how to do what you want.  They will know if it is possible and to ensure that what you are compatible with the local network.

  You said the LAN is ok, but are you sure that the wireless network adapter has been installed on this laptop. Please check in the area to network adapters Device Manager.
  If the wireless network adapter has been installed, you should see the wireless network card in this area. As much as I k now the Wlan switch on the front of the laptop works only if the wireless network adapter has been placed.

  I have a problem with the touch buttons on my U500. I have already returned the first laptop that I bought for the Exchange.

  The question is this:
  When the power cord is connected (without worrying if connected to the wall) the "Volume +" button will stick THERE.
  The volume will continue to rise, it cannot be muted or turned down as the + keeps repeating.

  The battery will begin to charge if the adapter has been connected to the laptop and it will stop the charge process after the adapter has been disconnected or if the battery is full.
