  • After trying to install the updates. my computer is now stuck in constant reboot mode while showing "Configuring updates 3 of 3 0%, do not turn off your computer.

    Visa update problem

    After trying to install the updates.  my computer is now stuck in constant reboot mode while showing "Configuring updates 3 of 3 0%, do not turn off your computer.  I tried to follow the instructions provided here because it seemed to be the same problem.  But when I restart and hold down the F8 key so I can boot into safe mode, I tried selecting safe mode and I get the same results, and I tried again by selecting the option 'Disable automatic reboot' which seems to be an option on the same page with the option of safe mode.  Whatever it is, the same message comes back and I can never get to where I can see my desktop to click 'start '.  I can't get out of this cycle.  I installed the update because it said I needed to install it.

    *************************************************************************************************************************************************

    Turn off your computer by holding the power button for about 20 seconds.

    Start your computer in safe mode: press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears

    Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure:

    • Click Start
    • Click on Control Panel
    • Click on system and Maintenance link.
    • Click on the system link
    • In the left pane, click Advanced system settings
    • Locate the startup and recovery area, click the settings button.
    • In the startup and recovery window, uncheck the box next to automatically restart.
    • Click OK in the startup and recovery window
    • Click OK in the System Properties window
    • Close the system window

    After that... While STAYING in safe mode I do a system restore and maybe try a manual install of the update later.

    For the sake of space I refer you to the article about how to proceed.

  • HP Pavilion x 2 Tablet 210: hard reset on my laptop, error and now my phone is in a constant reboot State.

    My laptop is running slow so I thought I would do a hard reset because I had not all the important files on this subject. So I reset it and I got a blue screen error, then a screen of the list with a popup box saying there was an error or my computer restarted and I have to press OK to install. I found an online solution to go beyond the popup box, I don't remember what it was, but now my laptop is stuck in a State of constant restarting. It goes like this:
    Blue HP logo with loading circle
    Black screen,
    Blue HP logo,
    Installing and configuring Windows install screen that didn't move out of 64%.
    And then black screen. This process is repeated constantly.
    Help, please.

    Hello @kirsty_mcq17,

    Welcome to the HP support community! I understand that your PC Pavilion x 2 is stuck in an endless loop, after trying to reset it.

    You can start by trying a full reset on the system and testing of hardware failures.

    If the system is still stuck in the loop, you may be able to follow the steps to perform a recovery when 10 Windows does not successfully start.

    If you do not have a separate for Windows 10 drive, you can create a Microsoft recovery media and attempt to restore the system or start from that instead of the hard drive.

    Please get back to me how that happens. Please click on the Thumbs up below to thank me for my efforts!

    Thank you!

  • HP Desktop in constant reboot without connection monitor

    I have a recently purchased office of p2-1317 c model HP with Windows 8 and Office 2010.  I don't know if this is a related cause of my question or not, but that's my story.  The other day I was software activation for a connection device of Netzero high speed.  In the middle of downloading the software, I received an error message on a pilot, but don't remember exactly what the message says.  The installation seems to be okay, then says to reboot.  When I did I have more communication works for my monitor.  The Office seems to turn on okay (hear the fan, the light goes on).  Opening of standard desktop image appears on the screen, but in the lower left corner, there is a small icon that looks like a computer screen with a red circle with an x in it. My keyboard and mouse do not seem to connect with my computer more either.  I'm NOT tech savvy, but I tried everything what is obvious: checked the connections - removing all and install plug it back into the original.  I did CTRL + ALT + DELETE and can't open the Task Manager. On or off the unit.  Held in the Start button to try to force a reboot.  I can control the settings of the monitor by pressing the buttons on the bottom of the screen, but that doesn't seem to put anything or even move any communication.  I plugged my old monitor to the new Office Tower and get the same image with icon and no possibility to communicate to the computer.  It seems that the download is something that will help my computer communicate with a monitor.  I also noticed that when I arrived the night last House that has the power of the tower was on.  I turned it off, then this morning noticed on again - it seems to start itself!  Help!  This is a brand new computer, we barely had a chance to use!  I called HP support and unfortunately is NOT well...  If you can offer a suggestion in the non-tech language I will offer prayers to the top in your name for life!  Windows 8 was preinstalled on the computer, so I do not have a disk to reinstall.  I have discs for Office 2010.  I have no recovery discs - and when you go to the HP site to download a copy, it's too complicated, because there are all kinds of warning messages that scare me on 'make sure you download the correct copy.  I put in my model number and come from several choices, so which one to choose?  Sigh... anyone, anyone, Buehler...

    Hello mopeyone,

  • const compilation error

    Hello

    If I declare a const, which is based on a value previously declared const I get a compilation error:

    const int MY_INT_CONST1 = 10;  no error.
    const int MY_INT_CONST2 = MY_INT_CONST1 + 10; compile error: initializer must be constant

    I tried to search the Internet to see if this goes against ANSI-C, but did not find the relevant answer.

    Anyone who knows and who have a source of information?

    Thank you!

    dml72

    Hello

    As I remember, in ansi C, global variables must be initialized by constants.
    So, we can write:
    # define MYVAR 5
    int a = MYVAR;
    because the preprocessor replace MYVAR by 5 before compiling the sources.

    But if we write
    const int a = 1;
    const int b = a;

    We want to initialize b with the value of a, which is a global variable and the compiler should detect an error (declare a constant variable will generate a compiler error if the variable is reassigned to the program, but is still a variableand not a constant).

    The same compilation error should appear if write us in the global section

    int a = 1;

    int b = a;

    int c = myFunc ();

    However in the locals, initialiseur initializer is not necessary to be consistent, so we can write

    void myFunc (void) {}
    const a = 1;
    const b = a;
    c const = myfunction2 ();
    ...
    }

    In summary, the keyword "const" is not the reason for this error, you can add or remove this keyword, the error will always be the same.

    It is simply impossible to initialize a global variable with another variable as global variables are initialized before executing any statement.

  • constant reboot to update iOS 9.2.1 now won't restart

    Following the update of ios this morning - I guess it was the 9.2.1 above, the phone began to continually restart.

    After a few hours of this restart, I looked at communities. I have first tried required top off down the button for 10 seconds. This does not.

    Then I tried now on and the button home for 10 seconds. This has prevented constant restarting. However now the phone will not turn on. When you press on and little second hold the start stop to start the phone the apple symbol comes on but after say 10 seconds it goes off and then nothing. Tried a few times.

    Current status is phone seems to be totally turned off.

    PS phone was connected to the power during the update process.

    Any ideas anyone? Thank you.

    Try resetting your device. This will not erase your data stored on that device.

    • Press and hold the sleep/wake button
    • Press and hold the Home button
    • Press and hold both buttons until the display turns off and on again with the Apple logo on the subject.

    Alternatively, you can go to settings - general - reset - Reset all settings

    If that doesn't work, restore your device to factory settings. Please note that this will delete the data on your device.

    Take a look this Apple Support article: use iTunes to restore the iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings - Apple Support.

    As a final step, try recovery mode. Turn off your unit, then plug it to your computer with the hold home button. Hold down Home button until you see the logo of iTunes on the screen of your device. After that on your computer, you should see the iTunes window saying that your device needs to be restored to factory settings. Click Restore.

  • Constant rebooting with new hard drive

    I have an iMac of 2008 with a processor clocked at 2.66 GHz that the hard drive had died in. Bought a Samsung EVO 850 SSD and 4 GB Crucial 800 MHz ram. Replaced both, installed Snow Leopard on a CD, upgraded to El Capitian, and everything was fine. Then he began to have a kernel panic. I restored it back, and it is again stable. Through error logs, it seems that the drivers are not signed. So I put a different hard drive, a 7200 RPM Seagate. Same question. Tried to copy the hard drive of my MacBook on the Samsung. • Windows machine is in a constant reboot loop. HP has been working on the device and there is no hardware problem. Microsoft support said there are corrupted in windows files and we were able to repair windows.

    HP is sending me a CD to reboot for Vista and say these original files are on my hard drive. The risk is of losing all the data. I'm embarrassed to say I didn't have a backup or set a restore point in the years I've had the machine
    So my concern is to lose all e-mails, documents, images, videos, and music, a lot of itunes. Microsoft feels that they can get the computer restarted without damage and data. Apple suggested I install a product open source, Ubuntu and use the file manager in this OS to unload the files. I studied a little and it seems too risky.  My question is this; What is the best way to save my files as part of the reboot process?

    You follow what I said.
    We don't know what data is on which drive.

    1 and 2 requires that remove you your hard drive.
    1 means install you also in another computer as a slave drive.

    If you think that labor is out of your reach, see a local computer repair shop.

  • Constant reboot

    Hello
    After I connect my computer restarts after less than 10 minutes.  I get the error messages: "DCOM Server process Launcher put end to unexpectedly" and "Plug and Play service unexpectedly.

    I have run all kinds of virus scans and lead to nothing.  When I started in safe mode, I don't have the error messages, or my computer restart.  I know that this means that there must be a problem with one of the drivers, but I have no idea how to determine those who or how to fix it.

    What should I do next?

    Thank you
    Sarah

  • Impossible to update Windows - constant 8007000E error Code

    I run the Windows Update Troubleshooter several times. Whenever he reports registration for the Service is missing or corrupt - status: FIXED. But when I check the updates again, same error code.

    Use the following tutorial to reset Windows updates completely and check if it helps:

    Reset Windows updates

    Be sure to run the script as administrator.
