Conversion Pantone in RGB-"web color".

My client gave me very specific colors for a web version of their logo Pantone -RGB and Hex codes to the right of the Pantone book (I think).

However when I enter these values in Illustrator CC, they are "out of gamut" and "off-color." web

Goal of my client: provide my logo to their web developer, so everyone uses the exact same blue.

Question:

Can I provide the logo with the specified values to the client, or click 'off-web color' warning and the end to the top with new colors?

* I guess I asked also uses secure web colors always mandatory?

j,

It is quite safe to forget all the colors of web security: they are ghosts of the ancient past where the monitors were very limited.

  • Profiling evidence broken with Adobe RGB 1998 color images

I recently discovered a problem with Photoshop CS6 on my Windows 7 system. When you perform the proofing with "Proof colors" selected on the Adobe RGB 1998 color profile images there is loss of Red saturation. When checking the ProPhoto RGB, Colormatch RGB, and sRGB image files there is no difference with the same profile selected in the Conditions of proof options settings. This only happens with images Adobe RGB 1998. I even tried ProPhoto RGB, Adobe RGB images conversion to be sure that it is not a problem with the file. Problem with the Adobe RGB files.

  • after export to the web color problems

    Hiya

I'm faced with a problem of color on a website, I recently designed.

The original drawing was done in Photoshop CS3 and includes a purple Strip think at the top of the page (http://www.deliciouscafe.co.uk/index.html). After slicing up design and then "save for web and devices", changes to purple-, it appears less dense and really should be a much deeper shade.

Not sure if I use the wrong export method. I tried the format jpeg, png and gif, but nothing seems to make a difference, but I have not tried to change the other settings in the save for web and devices dialog box so I was wondering if something could help?

    Any help would be appreciated!

Convert (don't assign it) the color of your images to sRGB profile.

When registering for the web, don't forget to include the for sRGB ICC color profile.

Do not mix the GIF and JPG when you try to maintain the uniform color. Use the same format.  (background.gif has a purple which may not correspond to quote.jpg)

Web color is a mess, especially on Mac. The steps above are the best you can do.

Oh my. I thought you said convert?

No, never give up. This will change the colors. Entitlement is used if you get images without any embedded profile - or, very rarely, if you think that the file has the wrong embedded profile. Entitlement is really an option expertise - leave it alone unless you know what you're doing.

Convert to profile is what you normally do.

Oh, and it's always a bad idea to 'play' with the Photoshop color settings. That will lead you inevitably more and deeper problems. Yet once unless you know what you're doing, always keep the color to the default settings. That "works".

  • What is the best way to match the Pantone PMS to CMYK color swatches?

I am looking at colors Pantone swatch book for coated solid colors, but he should know that the best way is to match, as closely as possible, a tone direct Pantone CMYK color. Is it possible to see these side by side? or is there an equivalency in the book of PMS, as I remember them to be in the print version of the Pantone book (which also showed formulations of ink for different tones,) which shows the percentages of CMYK equivalents to better match a Pantone color? It would be better to be able to see the place and the CMYK colors side by side on the screen.

It would be better to be able to see the place and the CMYK colors side by side on the screen.

N ° it would be preferable to see the task ink and CMYK process inks-by-side on paper.

It's why printed swatch books exist. I don't like what type of monitor you have, it won't look like a spot color ink. Period.

Glow of monitors. Ink on paper doesn't work. The human eye is incredibly adjustable; So really can't trust your own eyes when you look at a monitor.

Any monitor you use, it's always show you RGB. He can't do CMYK, and of course, he can't spot color.

So when the game is so dang critical, you must have a hand book of shade printed Pantone and process printed swatch book. And the two swatch books are on a similar document.

And if you expect to find perfect matches, you need to understand something very basic: many spot inks have no exact match to CMYK. You have to make Judgment calls.

  • RGB PDF color move when published online

Hello everyone, this if my first post a question online like this. I would be grateful any advice!

I created a document in InDesign, which is intended to be uploaded/published for viewing online. A lot of colors and transparency effects applied throughout. I took care to use RGB images and use the Document RGB transparency merger space since the intention for online publication.

I played with the settings of PDF export over time and get good results with one exception. When the client downloads the final PDF (which correctly sees on the screen)... While it is open in the viewer online, some unwanted color changes are occurring on all pages where a color photo of reform took a transparency (in particular the 'brightness' effect) effect applied to it. Shadows are not a problem... not all the effects seem to provoke the question, but the brightness and I think that multiply and probably a few others along these lines, cause the color change.

The client has done a workaround to solve the problem by taking the problematic PDF pages, their opening in Photoshop, save in JPEG format (i.e. the page Flattening), then import these JPEG files into an INDD file and re - export to PDF.  So, it seems that the flattening of the image is at stake.

I looked online and tried to do some research to see if I can take care of flattening, etc. on my end if the client does not... but I'm not find definitive answers. I think my main questions are:

    1. can I export a PDF RGB flattened directly from InDesign

    OR

    2. can I I tweak/flatten my PDF in Acrobat Pro before sending it to the client?

Thanks in advance for anyone who can point me in the right direction. I am generally able to understand these things on my own, but this one gives me the penalty.

You can flatten on export by changing the compatibility Acrobat 4 setting, but it is probably better to do it in Acrobat Pro using the PDF Optimization tool.

  • CMYK mode to PRINT and use the Web colors?

I'm sorry for my for my bad English but I'm French.

Is this "good" (interesting?)  using colors of paintings in a CMYK with Illustrator document?

I like the color of my photos and I want to use them for PRINT and the WEB too.

For now, my photos are in black and white (the contours) in CMYK (for printing mode) mode. What do you think I have

    Duty?

Thank you very much for your help!

    Hello-Hello

    BB,

In CMYK color Mode, all colors will be within the CMYK range, regardless of how you create them.

Normally, when the work is used for both print and web / whether, it is created in the CMYK and then converted for the web / whatever the use.

You can get a first glimpse of the question of the range here:

    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/gamut

    http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Color_space

In general, the CMYK colors are limited/more duller; You can add a spot color or use special printing, such as 6/8 color.

As long as the document color mode is RGB, the nuances of the process will also be RGB. No matter which option you choose in the menu - exception is grayscale.

  • Web color

    Hello

I create all of my graphics website in Photoshop, but when I import into Dreamweaver, they appear very dull. The site uses a lot of lush and red gold, so the effect is very obvious. Is there a way to avoid this? Do I need to have different color settings in Photoshop then set first to taste in PS (e.g. increase saturation)?

    Thanks for any help.

Is there a way to avoid this?

Yes. Tower in PS color management, work in RGB and use your monitor for proofing profile.
