  With respect to the 17 MB SWF file, it's a huge file, but you can try exporting as a .mov and convert it in Adobe Media Converter to your needs.

  If you only have the trial version of Dreamweaver, you have Flash? And if so, which version? The Dreamweaver trial version is the full version with a limit of 30 days, so the only reason for which I can see for "editing in Flash" is not is down to your version of Flash, or lack of.

  The guide that you referenced is CS5 and CS5.5. It indicates that you should also well Dreamweaver and Flash for this function to work. In addition, this function does not convert swf into fla that was your original question - it allows you to click on the swf file to then open the original FLA in Flash, then allowing you to edit and export in a SWF again.

  To clarify, to make this feature work, you will need:

  • Dreamweaver (CS3 or later)
  • Flash (CS3 or later)
  • The original FLA file

• Convert flv to AVI (Prem El 9 and Moyea)

  Last month, I realized a little silent clip for download on my site. I would now like to add a touch of classical music, but found that Prem El 9 will not allow .flv files imported and I lost the file prel. Hunting around these forums, that advice seems to be to install a flv converter - Moyea - which I did, then their sister then convert it to avi, which I suppose is the preferred format for El Prem. It seems simple and may have worked BUT there is a watermark - which I can't really blame them for because it is a trial version.

  OK, the watermark will be your program Moyea being a trial and not the full version released.

  With respect to the colo (u) rs, did you choose DV - AVI as the output? As there are so very many possibilities for an AVI file, some of the CODEC might do a bad job in some areas. For example, CODEC, such as DivX, have no manipulation of the right color, because of the extreme compression used - some data must be discarded. DV - AVI is low compression and usually has good color retention - usually.

• Convert to FLV AVI looks like white

  I'm trying to convert a short avi file into a format flash video for use on a sign language video site, and the video test (test.avi) appears in white without the navigation control. That is the same whether I watch with the flash drive, import it into flash 8 or incorporate it as a medium in dreamweaver. I can view the AVI fine normally. Avi is 1.5 MB and the flv file. 5 MB. what could be the problem? Flash Video Encoder was able to see the file and I was able to rub and snap him.

  I have a big problem. I did a second 10 animation in Flash CS5 and exported in a swf file, but my customer asks me one to convert it into a video file with this requirements:

  • Size: HDTV 720 p. Pixels (1280 x 720). 30 FPS. (frames per second)
  • : Stream format: HDV - HD1. Stream type: MPEG-2. Transport

  Stream (TS). Aspect Ratio: 16:9. Britate Type: CBR (Constant flow).

  Number of passes: 1 Video Bitrate: 18300

  I tried some conversion programs to do the job:

  • iWisoft Flash SWF to Video Converter
  • E.M. Magic Swf2Avi
  • Xilisoft Video Converter Ultimate 6
  • Total Video Converter HD

  Each one recognizes the SWF very well, (I put in place the FLA with 1280 X 720 pixels and 30 frames per second) but when I try to export to a video format with the earlier specifications using all programs, I get a very slow video, are not smooth at all and sometimes a great video with + 2 minutes (supposed to be only 10 sec). The swf file plays very well.

  Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

  Just open the FLA of original project, file-> export-> AVI movie (uncompressed) and set the dimensions you mentioned. After getting the movie exported from flash, convert that AVI (already the size appropriate) to the size you need.

  If you have the Adobe Suite, then you have Adobe Media Encoder. It supports MPEG2 (HDV - HD1 is just a specific set of parameters for MPEG2). It is really easy to configure. No reason to pay more software if you already have it.

I would have thought that the command convert to other documents that would have helped, but the exit code has major issues with 9Slice.  Whose skins are the basis for the pages themselves.  So, we tried an outside source, called "swiffy" but do not know this and so the title page then becomes the file 'swiffy '... Anyway I think there should be an easy solution for conversion via flash itself... So I'm hoping to find answers regarding this issue... Is this possible in flash? And what are the steps?  I am a designer of trade and the 3d artist, no not so much a script guy... thanks for any help on this

  Oh God No. No no no no no. Just... No.

  HTML5 provides, at best, a subset of what low can do Flash. For all but the most trivial applications, a correct conversion will involve rolling up the sleeves, dig into the FLA original and tempting to map the Flash application which supports HTML5. It is not just a correlation of 1:1 between the two technologies. They use even the same scripting language.

  There are a multitude of tools to convert a pdf to a swf file, but I have found none to do the reverse, while retaining the elements (text, vector images) of the original file. I tried this HowTo, but gets the text that is rendered as vectors (I guess) and I end up with a file that is 2-10 x as large. Any other ideas?

  After all, there is a solution: bundle all SWFs in a .orb using the application of the first link of files and then convert the .orb in .pdf file using the second application. Both applications are from the same developer.

  BTW, .orb searchable files on iPad/iPhone.

  Your best bet is to use Quicktime Pro as suggestions Hunt. There are some free programs like Super. It can convert MP4 video to AVI format, but if convert you to DV - AVI only to exports to a PAL 720 x 576 image size (with the other AVI formats, you can select the NTSC 720 x 480 standard) but you can set the frame for the NTSC standard rate. It can be downloaded from the following link.   In Super go to "Select the output container" and scroll down and select AVI, you can then select the codecs video and audio output from the adjacent dropdown lists.

  To rotate your video in Premiere Elements, select the clip on the timeline and then click on the properties icon just above the timeline (or right-click on the clip and select properties), item properties panel opens. Then select query and you will find the rotation control there.
