  • Excel freeze when changing cell color and HP LaserJet CM1415fn is default printer

We use a HP LaserJet CM1415fn connected via Ethernet. The computer is running Windows 7 x 64 with the latest printer drivers available on the HP Web site as of today.

When this printer is the default printer, there's a freeze occurring in Excel when we try to change the color of a cell, exactly as described here:

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Office/Forum/office_2010-Excel/changing-font-color-causes-Excel-t...

    and here:

    http://answers.Microsoft.com/en-us/Office/Forum/Office_2007-Excel/Excel-not-responding-when-changing...

Both messages suggested that set the default printer to something else solves the problem and that the problem lies in the driver printer, and indeed, the default printer to something other that our HP printer makes this problem disappear immediately.

Could you please provide an updated driver or a workaround another that set the default printer to something else?

To after what I read this peut be bound by printer drivers, but I doubt that the problem is caused by the printer driver. They do refer to is an editor of document to their default the Printers folder, which I do not have is - not - a printer driver. The XPS Document Writer 'prints' documents in a file, it is not really a printer driver at all and it's more a misnomer to consider it as such.

The description of the problem, it seems always be attached to the Software Suite. If it is a problem that the effects of several printer drivers (according to the user), it wouldn't make sense to assume that the problem is the drivers for the printers belonging to users who have this problem, but the common factor uniting the experiences here, that would be the desktop software.

What you can do is check the following link to ensure that A) all updates are applied correctly B) driver software is updated through uninstall/reinstall and (C) you ensure that the printer firmware is up to date:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&LC=en&DLC=en&product=4089468

It is possible, it's a hangup in the software, but if things internally within the program that it would not make sense of how the printer HP programming works.

I would like to know how it goes!

  • LaserJet CM1425fn: LaserJet cm1415fn all printed output is faded

I have a MFP HP LaserJet CM1415fn I've had since 2011.  It has always worked perfectly until recently when printed pages started out very thirsty.  My first thought was that the toner cartridges are at fault despite still a significant amount of toner left in them.

I replaced the cartridges by official HP cartridges, as always, but the print quality remains in the same State faded.

Can someone offer suggestions regarding if it is a question can be resolved so I have to accept that my CM1415 has reached the end of its life?

    Thank you

    Hi @avataruk,

Thanks for getting back to me.

From what you describe. Looks like there's a hardware with the printer.

I don't have the details for the maintenance for your printer options, but HP may offer you a discount toward a recovery on a replacement unit. Please contact HP.

Hope that answers your question. Thank you for posting!

Seems to be a hardware failure, more specifically your graphics card.

    (1) turn off the computer, open the case and check that the graphics card is in place (not bad).

    (2) if the graphics card has a power cable to the back of the card, it must be well inserted.

    (3) you can try to remove and reinsert the card the motherboard if steps 1 or 2 provide no solution.

    After return your results.

    Hello world

I want to copy paste any opening of the file of the selected color to color chart

    (2) I want to copy on all open files

    Hello

You can not read swatchPanel selection using javascript.

However, you can create a dialog box SUI with listBox where color chart may appear for a multiple selection.

Finally, you are able to import a selected set of nuances to the designated documents.

  • White text "BOLD" on the issues of color block?

    Hello world

This may seem like a simple question, but I have problems creating a PDF document that contains the "BOLD" white text on colored blocks? Surprisingly, plain white text (normal text with paper as a character Style color) print on a block of dark color. But the problem occurs with the bold or bold italic (just character style "BOLD" thing). Really do anything "BOLD". Now, if I save it in jpeg format, then everything prints fine. My document is in mode overlay that lists problems related to the characters of the white text on colored blocks. By default, all white color have overprinting uncheck and grayed out. So, I'm unable to handle it.

Any ideas on how I can get the white text "BOLD" (character Style) to print to a PDF file instead of create JPEGs of each document and then bring them together into a PDF file?

Thanks for any help. Happy holidays.

OK, so he put for overprinting in some way. It is VERY difficult to achieve in the ID, but it is easy to import the white text in Illustrator which is set to overprint. The only way that I know so he can get to text ID native, is however effects or blending modes, self check the effects Panel...

  • Copy the block of text in most of the pages

Using CS4. I am designing a photo book and want to add a caption below photos on most of the pages.

How to copy a block of text to most of the pages of the book, positioned at the same place on each page?

Looks a very basic thing to want to do, but impossible to find some sort of obvious way to do.

Must have something to do with master pages.

Master page would certainly be a way to do it. Put the rframe on the master, then substitute ([Ctrl on windows] Cmd + Shift-click on the page docuent to release a Master object) to enter text or remove images or place text in the frame (without replacement) from an external file.

  • CM1415fn HP MFP: Can I print with empty color on my hp cm1415fn toners

Hi can my HP cm1415fn always print (black & white) using the black toner when it uses the color toner are empty?

    Hi @Charles10,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you wonder if your printer will be able to print in black and white when a color toner is exhausted. I'd be happy to help you and don't forget to come back to this thread and check "Accept as Solution", if I have successfully helped solve you the problem. If you want to say 'Thank you' to my effort to help, click on the "thumbs up" to give me a Kudos.

If you have an empty toner cartridge the laserjet will not continue to print until you have replaced the toner empty.

For more information, please see this paper, printer Toner use & the Impact on Print Cartridge Yield.

When you replaced the color toner, you can choose to print in grayscale to help reduce the use of the color ink cartridges.

    • Black test - for black and white images and photos, a mix of colors called 'composite black' can be used to achieve the quality significantly improved picture and soft gray tones that can be achieved with only black toner. For users who want to print images using black ink only, many printers color HP customer offer configurable options allowing the client to print using only black ink. For example, by selecting "print in grayscale" in the printer driver Specifies print using black ink only.

See these steps to print in grayscale, Select printing options.

    Basics of printing

Printing in Windows is often as simple as clicking the file menu found in most programs and then clicking on print.

This opens the print dialog box. This is where you can change settings such as what printer use or how many copies to print. (The dialog box that you see might look different than the one shown here, depending on your software and your printer).

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus: more than 8600 copy color

I just replaced my cartridges 3 color.  Since then, I can't "copy" a document in color without any page print magenta background instead of white.  Even the black cartridge is fairly recent.  I don't understand what to do.

    Hello @dmom2nonie,

Please follow the steps I provided. There are one of the two problems that occur because of copy quality:

    • Question 1: A question of power:

Please ensure your printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet for power. Power strips and surge protectors can cause HP printers lack power and will not work properly. Once your printer is connected directly to the wall outlet please test again the copy function.

    • Question 2: Programming question:

Even if you updated the Firmware Version on your HP Officejet printer there is always a chance that there is a corruption in the programming version on your printer. This corruption may cause copy/scanning mechanism works not properly.

If plug the printer directly into a wall socket for power made no difference, can you please do click here to access the troubleshooting steps to resolve the problem of vertical lines of color. Please run through the Solution, Solution two, and three, and four Solution. This includes the substeps for each of the listed Solutions.

If you arrive at the end of the troubleshooting and the question remains there is an additional discount that I can have you try.

Please let me know if these steps don't resolve your problem. Fingers crossed!

  • HP LaserJet 200 color M251nw: 200 Laserjet color m251nw in paper

    Hello

I have the printer configured above as a WSD printer on ethernet and shared on a Server Server R2 2012. The printer displays no problem, I can print the internal reports and diag pages. However, the driver on the server said 'in paper' and obviously does not in any one of the connected computers print.  The print driver is the "HP LaserJet 200 color M251 PCL6 driver class ' version 6.3.9600.17415.  I've updated the firmware to the last 20150212.  The printer has been installed a few months there and it worked very well at the start. Any thoughts?

I ended up changing the printer port on the server of WSD for IP and that seemed to solve it.  I've never had good luck with the WSD printer ports.

  • LaserJet 100 color MFP M175nw: Laserjet 100 color MFP M175nw will not connect wireless - used to work properly

OK - I'm out of here.

I've owned a Laserjet 100 color MFP M175nw for awhile, and it worked perfectly.

Installed the software for 2 computers at home and everything worked well.

Last week, I changed the password to my router for the home network.

The printer showed as "offline".  I couldn't change the status.

After much trying I totally uninstalled the software, deleted the printers on my PC and reinstalled.

I run the installer - tell him I want to go and so that it can detect my wireless network settings.  (I also tried the option where I have to enter the information manually). All else fails.

Setup starts and then asks me to install the USB cable.  I do that and the installation program is going very slowly (I mean it crawls along) and wrote "Product has been detected", "Waiting for installation of the product at the end. Then I get a big red 'X' and it is said that it took too long to run and a fatal error occurrred or he tells me that it cannot find a product to install.  If I run the installer and say USB only, it works very well.  Ugh.

When I press the button on the front panel wireless and it flashes only and that's all.

Here's what I did - full power / turn off the PC and the router.  Updated the firmware of the printer used the new installer (all from the HP website).  Tried it on 2 different PC to ensure that it was not isolated.

The USB cable is good because after the failure, I can print via USB (I lost a forest to print the test pages).  Same PC and OS for both when I bought the printer.

Ironically, I spent several years in this DOCUMENT, so it's not familiar works for me, just very frustrating!

Well, I finally had it - realized that the WIFI adapter on the PC had to have the new password entered.

It was step 1.  Step 2 followed another post where I attached the printer directly via ethernet to the router cable, and once the IP address appears in the menu of the printer, I entered on my browser and the name of the router is entered, pw and managed to turn off the wireless printer on.  Then, by running the installer worked like a charm.  Woo-Hoo

  • HP Officejet Pro 8600 - black lines when copying, colored scanning lines

    Hello

I have a HP Officejet Pro 8600. When I try to copy from glass, copy of ADF, I get black lines going the length of the pages. Whenver I scan, once more, the glass or ADF I get lines colored, ranging from the length of the analysis. I called HP customer service and the representative told me clean the glass and part inside of the ADF, but the problem still remains. No idea if this is a common problem? More important still, how fix it.

Do a hard rest on the printer. Let the printer and unplug the power cord. In doing so, it will remove the lines.

If I have solved your problem, please do not hesitate to provide laurels and make sure that you mark this thread as provided solution!
