Product: CP1025nw

OS: Mountain Lion 10.8.5

Previously, I had impression pages successfully up to a few millimetres from the bottom of the pages.

What can I do about it?

Thank you!

Hello

I suggest you do a hard reset with the printer.

Hard Reset:

Take out the toner cartridges.

Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall

Wait for 30 seconds

Plug the power cord into the printer and the wall (be sure that the printer is plugged into the wall and not a surge protector)

Replace the toners/cartridges in the printer

Let me know the results

    Hello

My HP CP1025nw Laser works well with one exception: I still got a weekly pdf file delivered to my Inbox mailbox and that specific pdf, print twice each week. I have no problem with any other file, pdf, or other, only this fact sheet 8: waste paper and toner to have twice.

I found a solution for this that works for me. For Windows 7, it's should be similar on Vista or XP. 1. on the start menu, select devices and printers. 2. right click on the printer, and then select printer properties. 3. click on tab Ports 4. UNCHECK enable bidirectional support. 5. click on OK Please let me know if it works for you. (or not!)

  • Is it possible to change the printer function to accommodate the thicker paper

Need to print on thicker card, but the paper is a little too think to roll smoothly through the printer.

Anyone know if there is a way to change the printing options to solve this problem?

This would be a limitation of the printer, so I suggest to contact the printer manufacturer for advice. My suspicion is that it will take another printer.

  • prints too far to the bottom of the page - officejet pro 8600

    Have an officejet pro 8600.

Recently, when printing, two problems occur...

    (1) the document printing starts printing about 1.5 "to 2" further down the page then it should. This translates into the lower part of the document is not printing.

    (2) there is a crease/fold about 3 "from the top of the sheet.

It seems that the paper is loaded too soon or that actual printing is delayed.

We have cleaned all rollers and check the wheel star - no damage

  • minimum height of paper ip8720 in the custom paper sizes

With the help of ip8720, when I set the height to 4.25 in custom paper size the image does not print correctly. If I leave the printer set the margins, I get the message «the limits of paper as defined by the PPD file size are a minimum height of 5 inches...» "If I set the margins mysself (to 0) part of the image is printed in a corner, not there at - there no way to print with a 4.25 inches paper size?  I could do with my old Canon printer. The reason why I need to this size, it's that I'm trying to print a photo on the bottom half of the book which is actually 5.5 wide and 8.5 high. I need only on the bottom so that I can then fold paper to make a card with the image on the widthx height 5.5 before - so 4.25 will not work in this case... the height must be 4,25 and width of 5.5 inches. Thanks for any ideas you may have. (I use an iMac).

    Hello.

The minimum supported size is 3.5 inches wide by 5 inches high.  If the height is specified as something more smaller than 5 inches it will not print to avoid paper jams or feeding problems in case the book is actually less than 5 inches high.

How can I make prints all outs of any file display the name and location of the file on the lower edge of the paper?

    Hi microanswers,

What application are you using to create and print the file?

If you use MS Office, you can see the information below.
A header or footer is text or graphics that is usually printed at the top or bottom of each page in a document. A header is printed in the top margin; page footer is printed in the bottom margin.

Headers and footers can be as simple as the document title and a page number, but you can create some headers and footers that contain graphics, multiple paragraphs, and fields. You can specify a different header or footer for odd and even pages or use a different header or footer for the first page in a document or a section. If you divide a document into sections, you can use different headers and footers in each section. For example, you can the header for each section to reflect the title of this article.

  • Photosmart 5520 (but also others) duplex printing cleared at the bottom

Very recently, I bought a Hp Photosmart 5520 and I found that sometimes the bottom of a page is cut off when printing double-sided. I looked in this forum and found that this problem is hardware related and can not be solved, but there are solutions. I did a few tests with my current setup and I want to share my discoveries, here for other users waiting for HP to add a FAQ for the photosmart 5520 entry. (but also for the 6520 and 7520, probably)

The problem is clearly stated in a few messages, dating from September 2013 and Nov 2013, although it is not very easy to find

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/other-printing-questions/duplexing-discrepancy/m-p/2470573/highlight/tr...

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/scanning-faxing-and-copying/double-sided-printing-is-cut-off-short-Phot...

Basically, the margin of the low printable area is 3mm side simple impression, while it is 15mm (at least!) for the first page, double-sided printing. This is due to the fact that the printer must keep the paper in the output roll after that that he finished printing the first page. It is therefore IMPOSSIBLE to duplex - print a document with text or graphics that extends beyond the margin of the lower 15 mm, unless the page size is reduced so that the effective bottom margin is 15 mm. On the other hand, if the document does not contain text or graphics beyond bottom margin of 15 mm it CAN be printed double-sided without reduction.

IMHO, the problem is that the default behavior of the firmware of the printer, the drivers of operating system and/or applications do not always properly address this limitation leading to surprising or unsatisfactory results.

To better understand the limits and behavior of the printer, I have carried out tests under the following conditions:

    (1) copy 2-sided vs 1-side in the printer display

    (2) Windows 7 applications: Word2010, Foxit PDF reader, Acrobat PDF reader

    (3) 4.3 android: Cloud Print and HP ePrint apps

The firmware in the printer is MGP5CN1351AR (Sep 12, 2013)

The windows version of printer drivers is 28.8 (October 30, 2012)

For tests 2 and 3, I have prepared a document word of 2 pages with headers and footers located exactly at 15 mm of margin top and bottom of the page and I have produced a PDF with CutePDF (unfortunately this forum does not allow attachments, otherwise I would have attached it).

    The results were as follows

    (1) in 2-sided copy the last 15 mm on part and on the other copy of the output are empty, even if the text of the content entry page, while, in 1-sided copy only the last 3 mm are empty (resizing is turned off, of course)

    (2) double-sided printed of Word2010 gives a duplexer not resized when the printing preferences, advanced options, "Arrangement" is disabled. If it is set on, the output is reduced. Print PDF files is tricky: there are several different options in Foxit PDF and acrobat PDF. Auto-Centre and adjustment - on the page to print double-sided, but do not keep the right size in Foxit PDF reader; If preserve layout is off a significant part of the bottom of the page is not printed, apparently due to the fact that the margins are not properly managed by foxit PDF. Acrobat PDF instead, leave a good impression both sides preserve the page layout and scaling are disabled (obviously up to 15 mm).

    (3) android Cloud Print prints the word and pdf files WITHOUT a provision to 'preserve', this is why some clipping may occur; HP ePrint prints two word files and pdf reduced in size, as if "preserve layout" option has been set.

In summary, I'll leave the "preserve layout" options always on in windows and I'll take a cut on the side of double-sided printing and I use hp eprint instead of cloudprint. If the correct size is important to a PDF file, it is best to experiment with Acrobat PDF (even if it is not a light program). iI would be expected at HP improved the behavior of the windows printer drivers to print a PDF file.

I hope that this post may be useful to other people.

You are right, that the effective page size is reduced because of the extra margins required to manage the document in automatic duplex mode.  From the rear is donated in the printer from the bottom and bottom printed in the top margin is also higher top for the back to the front.

The checkbox 'Keep the page layout' is important for results appropriate, although it will reduce the effective print size.

I've seen reports before of Foxit PDF printing problems, I avoid and use Adobe Reader.

  • How to print on the photo paper, or vice versa

    Hey there,

    I have HP Photosmart 7510.

Sometimes I need to print a photo from my iPhone, but the printer is out of photo papers, so how can I change the setting to print the photo of your choice on the plain paper?

Also on my mac, the place where I can choose to print on regular paper or photo?

    Hello

If you use the HP and Biz: select your image, and then on the options of the printer on the bottom of the screen. From there, select your printer and down, select your paper type.

Check out this post of OSX framework.

    Good luck!

  • Left edges of printed lines moving in and out of vertical alignment, goes to the bottom of the page.

I downloaded an upgrade HP suggested and just after, had a paper jam.   I have authorized, but then got the error message: cartridge stuck.

I couldn't find the cartridges in a first time (they were caught completely to the left), then the belt to see if I could make it appear.  Nothing helped, and... uh - oh - guess that I would not do.

Finally, I spotted the cartridges, slipped to them where they were supposed to be, and the printer worked.  Except now, descending by the offset of the page become for two and some lines (first part crushed), indentation of about an eighth of an inch of horizontal lines.  Then, on a half inch below the page lines come back to correct the record.  Then they go again shifted, which cycling through all the way to the bottom of the page.

How, please, can I restore the vertical alignment?

  • C6280 printer does not accept the change of format of letter-size paper

Although I changed the paper size in printer A4 letter Properties menu, it always prints as well on the size of the letters.

Thanks Gemini02 for your suggestion, but I already did all that and it made no difference.   However, I have now solved the problem myself.   After a lot of research, I discovered there is a print setting allowing the DISCOUNT A4 to adapt to the size of the letter and it was active.   To turn off, in an open document, click file, then Options, and then click Advanced Options, then scroll to the bottom to halfway and uncheck the box on "scale content for A4 or 8.5 x 11 paper size".

It looks like the problem you are experiencing:

And this paper focuses on it. I would start with the Solution two, because this problem is probably related to the drum black cartridge in the printer. Often times following these steps will fix it. Another option is to replace the black cartridge drum with a new one.

Found!  This has been plauging me for months.

In the printer properties, click the Advanced tab.  Turn then under 'Features of the printer', 'Minimize margins' on 'ON '.  This will remove the bottom of the huge margin - without reason.

This has nothing to do with the paper tray cartridges or realign.  All HP printer driver software.
